Sounds like Hoilett. Been hoping he'd show up this year.

I personally think Grimble is gonna be great.

CoCane

Ohio,

I'm hoping Grimble steps up too. Problem is, I haven't heard anything about him all off season. Positive or negative. It's as if he doesn't exist. (shruggs)

Ohio_Cane

Whoever mentioned Austin Roberts, Ohio St is the favorite right now. We're a close 2nd with him. Gave up on USC for whatever reason.

BigWindyCane1

I like all those mentioned in response to LB's request, but we are all forgeting about David Gilbert. If he can stay healthy, he will play a lot.

Ohio_Cane

BigWindy, no doubt. Kid will be a factor this year. Possible starter.

hassan

Brad Kaaya is now borderline 5 star on 247 with s 95 rating.

hassan

Darling is up too. This staff can evaluate and Coach Hurley can recruit

DeeCane

Hey Spacers! Man a few things worry me and something needs to be done...Quincy Wilson is trying to destroy UM with other recruits...hes all on Twitter just bashing UM because he doesn't have an offer and his father dnt do anything to diffuse the situation..I think UM coaches and U school coaches need to have a sit down an hash out any differences there might be..it really concerns me and hopefully it gets resolved if UM and Booker T can work things out, I'm sure they can

Old Skool

There could be a shining reason why Quincy doesn't have an offer ... Not a man, yet.

Let's just saaaaay...the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree on this one.

Texcane

I'm not convinced UM and BTW have things worked out. It's pretty evident Ice has an agenda against UM or is trying to get a job with FSU

Terrance Sullivan

So what if Ice or Quincy or anyone else talking ish. Keep Calm and Carry On. Coach Golden and company got everything under control.

Ohio_Cane

Quincy is a child who is trying to "take his ball and go home".

It's simple:

Staff wanted him to come to camp to see him live, and then they would probably offer.

Quincy said "uh no, I'm so good U don't need to see me live. Offer me or I'm not coming to your school"

Staff said "no camp, no offer. Sorry"

Now Quincy is crying like a little 5 year old who didn't get all the ice cream flavors he wanted.

I thought it was because He wanted to play CB, but the staff thought He was a Safety at the next level...

Ohio_Cane

CR, that's part of it too. They would've evaluated him at CB tho if he came to camp. Them just going by film, they think he's better at Safety. He doesn't wanna play safety

• Harris Sr., who was furious with UM coaches in February when he said they pulled their scholarship offer to former offensive tackle Denver Kirkland, said the relationship between his program and the Hurricanes is solid and will “continue to get better, keep growing.”

“I had an opportunity to talk to the coaches at Miami last night [when Treon committed],” Harris Sr. said. “If Miami was a school that was recruiting Treon as a QB the world may not know what happened. But under the circumstances that’s not the case.

“We still got guys in the recruiting process with Miami as well. We’re still going to have Canes here at Booker T. Washington. The biggest thing is what fits the kid best.”

Sad:

By Cailin O'Brien

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Three Brooks County High School football players were killed Tuesday morning when their car hit a tree near their southeast Georgia school.

A fourth football player was flown to a local hospital where he is in critical condition, school officials said in a press release.

The dead students were identified as rising seniors Jicarre Watkins and Shawn Waters and rising junior Johnnie Parker.

De’vron Whitfield, a rising junior, was ejected from the car and is in critical condition at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

The teens were driving to a morning football practice when the driver lost control of the car, causing it to veer off Webster Road and hit a tree near Brooks County High School, outside the Quitman city limits, around 9:30 a.m. Quitman is located about 20 miles west of Valdosta in south Georgia.

It is unclear at this time which student was driving.

Brooks County High’s football team finished 12-1 last season and won region 1-AA. The season was highlighted by a 28-24 upset victory over Valdosta High School and the first 10-0 season in Brooks County High School’s history, which dates back to 1959.

Watkins was a first team all-region defensive lineman in Region 1-AA.

The school cancelled the school board meeting scheduled for Tuesday night and announced that counselors will be available to help students and staff.
