If you are traveling to warm, sunny South Florida for a University of Miami football game this year then we highly recommend that you stay at the designated Canespace hotel for these events:
The Hampton Inn in the beautiful, upscale and centrally located city of Plantation, Florida.
This award-winning, luxury hotel is situated in an ideal location for college (and professional) football fans and can be found just West of University Drive and just a few blocks North of I-595.
The Hampton Inn is located near numerous restaurants and popular sports bars, is within walking distance of the Broward Mall (for those who like to shop) and is only 20 minutes from Sun Life Stadium via the Florida Turnpike.
Hurricane fans come from near and far and literally take over the hotel lobby and patio before and after UM home games. Rival fans can also be found there for some good-natured trash talking as well.
There are always opportunities for car pooling to the game with other Hurricane for tailgating parties, purchasing tickets and snatching up one of the prized Canespace T-shirts.
Canespace usually throws a "Party On The Patio" after every home game with food, beverages and prizes for UM trivia contests. With a lush, tropical setting and a large pool and jacuzzi, the Hampton Inn patio is THE place to celebrate each Hurricane victory in 2011!
The special "Canespace Rate" is $89 and is valid for all Hurricane fans and also available for any visiting team fans.
For reservations please contact the Hampton Inn - Plantation: 954-382-4500.
Or reserve your room on line with Canespace Corporate Code 0002702804 at:

Fort Lauderdale Beach my favorite spot. Also for those that dont know if you dont want to get on the Turnpike you can just cruise down University Drive in Fort Lauderdale-Broward County which turns into 27th Ave when you enter Miami-Dade County. 34 days peeps. Go Canes.

One of these days . . . I really would love to go to a game this year, late October through November look ridiculously busy, but who knows? Maybe I can convince the fam. that Disney World would be more fun than Disneyland.

NEW RECRUIT DE SUTTLES FROM NEBRASKA WENT TAMPA GAITHER HIGH SCHOOL. ANY CONFIRMATION OR 411?
Posted by: RJP CANE | July 27, 2013 at 05:45 PM
Sorry for the absence...
Suttles would be a freshman this coming season if he enroll at Miami. Got kicked of Nebraska for hitting a team mate with a bottle over the head. Is very possible he comes. Great size and motor. Golden will be the one to ok the move, or to shut him out.

Oh I knw...trust me...I might not post as much as people, but I have some real reliable sources...I lived in the area before I joined the army, n I have friends in high places...lol..he's not big on the Noles...like I said he's not a lock to Florida, or Alabama or Miami...believe it or not Ohio State is a real threat...play close attention..Q, Lammons, and Lane all have offers from only Florida and Ohio State...they all have them in their top..Florida won't take Lammons and Q Wilson, Why? Because they feel good about Adoree Jackson...he has a spot if he wants it..they only taking 4 corners...Dawson, JC Jackson, Adoree and either Lammons or Quincy...they prefer Lammons...a lot of teams believe Wilson has reached his potential ( skill wise) that's why they want him at safety also because he is 16 already 6'2...he has two whole yeArs to grow....
Posted by: DeeCane | July 28, 2013 at 02:43 AM
Dee...appreciate the info man..and I agree with you about Wilson..Golden and staff aren't idiots, they know all about Wilson lol

SOTU writers @TheStateOfTheU
According to @flasportsbuzz, David Gilbert hasn't graduated from Wisconsin yet. He has to do so before he could transfer & play immediately

Siesta Key.

SOTU writers @TheStateOfTheU
It appears that both Gilbert and Julio Derosier have the same issue. It is hoped that both players complete this requirement soon
SOTU writers @TheStateOfTheU
ON ANOTHER NOTE, hearing that Kamalu and Al-Quadin Muhammad (AQM for short) could both be on campus as early as Monday. Would be HUGE.
SOTU writers @TheStateOfTheU
So, basically, that's 4 players who would realistically see rotation PT along the DL who could, or could not, be on campus soon
SOTU writers @TheStateOfTheU
Plus, there's chatter that UM is close to adding another player to the 2013 recruiting class, most likely another DL.
SOTU writers @TheStateOfTheU
5 players. All DLinemen. If Golden is able to bring in even 3 of them, that would be a HUGE win for the Canes. We'll see what happens.

Video of Johnny Football getting tossed from a frat party at U of Texas is classic! I haven't seen a college career meltdown like this since Maurice Clarrett at OSU.

If the coached suspend him for a few games including the Alabama game he will probably quit being a jackass. I don't think its just being a 20yo-he's got issues

Tjl, why would u want Johnny football suspended 4 the bama game? Don't u hate those guys like most of the nation?

Somebody needs to stick a foot up Johnny football's ass! Enough is enough.
Posted by: Canesteeler | July 28, 2013 at 01:40 PM
Tell em Canesteeler; I would say bama has an ax to grind and the horses to put some foot in that pretty boy rich AZZ of his. Good player; has started reading and believing the papers. Long way from TAM to NFL...just saying....just saw The U on ESPNU.... that's is nice man, those guys really laid it out there...been some bumps in the road, but I do believe we have got the car out of the ditch, riding smoother heading back toward the right destination........

Like the Countdown.....how is OGV have not heard from him lately
Posted by: VA Cane | July 28, 2013 at 03:10 PM
Also hearing that Trent Harris could select Ohio State yet spurning the Canes again...he was pretty heated with the Gators about the FNL thing..and our depth n commitments could scare him off...same with Bronson, seems like a Rutgers lean...now Harris could select us, I think we take 1 more DT (Moten) n 1 DL(???)..1 CB (Lammons or Hallmon), 1 S(Gayot), Cook n 2 WR(Dixon and Either Lane/Robinson)...

Anybody that doesn't think that this isn't real is straight up trippin, to use the slang. Those are real benjamins and my guesstimate would be about 10k.
I promise you that's money from an Alabama booster, and the first of several payments that he would have received.
Saban doesn't "know" about it - he keeps his distance, but most college stars (not all players) in the SEC are paid cash by boosters. Nearly impossible to trace or prove. Always cash.
It happens everywhere, but SEC boosters pay the most.
