QUOTABLES
Al Golden on two-a-day…
"We'll be in shells in the afternoon. To be honest, the kids like it. I hate to say it, but the kids end up liking it more than just one practice. We blow the horn and they're looking at us like, 'What do you mean? That's it?'…And then they get a big four-hour window where they can go eat, get in the ice tubs, and sleep for two hours then come back for 90 more minutes in the afternoon."
Golden on Pat O’Donnell…
"I think he's going to help us by changing the field. He's very poised, as you'd imagine, and for his age, he's very experienced. He's been through a lot… He's so steady. I'm so impressed with how steady he is and with the commitment to his craft that he has. Every day he's the same guy, every day. In my mind, it's like Tiger Woods just banging balls. That's all I see. I just see him and his craft every day. Every day is like being on the driving range for him."
Art Kehoe on importance of player
versatility…
“Well it’s really important.
You’re going to get injuries. You’re going to play games that are going to be
decided in the fourth quarter and if you lose anybody you have to have a person
that’s in there that’s functioning well, not just playing, and can communicate
with the other guys. We’re trying to make that the key deal. It really doesn’t
matter how the individual plays, it’s the group, they have to play together. So
if you put someone in there they have to be able to function. We’re trying to
mix guys up constantly in practice, in walkthroughs. We talk and challenge guys
in the meetings about what position they’re playing, whether they can be in the
left handed stance and up stance. Whatever way we’re trying to attack people
that we can have guys in there that are multi-faceted and can handle that
stuff.”
Kehoe on team
attitude…
“I just think it’s you
are what you are. The game’s about winning and losing and I think coach Golden,
from the day he took over here, has been on a relentless assault to win and
that’s what the entire swag is and it’s an entire prescription from January to
January. We’re following it pretty hard and we’ve whittled away. It’s like
starting out with like a clay statue and we’re banging and banging and we’re
getting down to where we’re ready to function. I’m not making any predictions or
anything; I just like what our team is doing and where they come from and how
we’re all here. We’re all getting here and that’s what we’re trying to
do.”
Kehoe on change in Seantrel Henderson…
“I think it’s about the
Goldenization deal. You’re in or you’re not in. So it’s a whole deal. We’ve got
a train on our chest that’s going uphill and we talk about it all the time. Get
in the train, lean forward; if your foot’s out we’re going to axe it right off.
You know what I mean? That’s how it is. We’re a team and we’re all doing this
together and he’s (Seantrel) part of it, and Brandon Linder and Malcolm Bunche
and Shane… They’re all trying to help him and together we’ll get this
done.”
Shane McDermott on how great this offense can be…
“With this offense, we know that we can be a very good offense. We aren’t thinking about the end of the season. All we are thinking about is getting better every day and getting ready for FAU. I think we can be a great offense and we all work towards trying to become a great offense. We are just focusing day by day right now.”
I think it is safe to say that EVERYONE knew Hamilton would end up at Tackle before he left Miami lol

What if we did this before we played UF or FSU...the NCAA would literally $hit their pants:
After all, there's precedent: before the 1961 Liberty Bowl, a made-for-television game between Syracuse and the University of Miami, Meggyesy and his teammates held a private meeting. They were worn down from a long season, unenthused about spending their holiday break playing an extra game in frigid Philadelphia. Why are we playing in this game? Who is financially benefitting here? The players had more questions than answers. They also knew that athletes in other bowls, like the Rose and Orange, received complementary wristwatches. And so they delivered an ultimatum to coach Ben Schwartzwalder.
We want watches, they said. Or else we won't play.
"Ben could see we were pissed off and serious," Meggyesy recalls. "He was looking at us like, 'Wait a minute, I'm not going to piss off my top players.' He came back a few days later and we got our watches.
"Athletes are in the same position today. Who's the one percent in NCAA sports? And who's the 99 percent? They don't realize the power they have. The players are not replaceable. That is what gives them power. Who else is going to play?"

especially if we pick up Dixon or Berrios.

Yeah, but that is the KEY and I do NOT feel very confident with those two either.

What they will do at FSU is bury him on the depth chart at QB, give him no snaps or P/T and then when he aks for a move to CB give it to him. #Obvious

I don't watch a lot of high school football, although I have tried to lately. The few STA games I saw had me thinking Hamilton was slow and not worthy of a 4-Star ranking. Everyone on the Space..well not everyone..but a lot of people were saying he had a knee injury and thats why he looked slow. But to me, he wasnt a college DE, but Miami did what they said, they gave him a change at DE, but if your body outgrows that position..
