Correct, but first I always click on the name and select "View all posts from 72.343.394.345" and make sure they're not using the same IP as some of our regular bloggers.

Otherwise, U'd ban some of the faithful lol

Ohio_Cane

^^^ That IP was just an example, FYI

UMike

Right..I get what your saying.

UMike

UpNorth..I agree...No starters should be playing come the 4th

Brandon Odoi ‏@Brandon_Odoi 6m

Just talked to the NCAA press folks, if something is being announced, we'll know by 3 pm. EST each day. If not, false alarm.

Ohio_Cane

Also from Odoi:

NCAA Guidence

Just talked to the NCAA press folks, here's the guidance they provided:

The day before the announcement of any penalties there will be an email alert will go out at 3 pm. EST to all members of the press on the media list. This will let us know that the announcement will take place the following day at 1:30 p.m. EST.

-At 1 p.m. on the day of the announcement, an embargoed copy of the release (to read by the media before the conference call) will be emailed out to us.

-The conference call will take place at 1:30 p.m. officially announcing the ruling by the independent committe on infractions. This is when they will describe what they have come up with. A chairperson or a spokesperson will give a verbal overview. Then they open it up for reporter questions (this will be the only time reporters can ask the NCAA anything).

After that call, the staff can’t speak on the decision at all.

Hopefully this helps.

It's coming. Real soon.

LB's translation of this; "He was hot sh!t coming out of high school and got passed on the depth chart by someone who wasn't sh!t in high school and got tired of looking up at him in the rotation."

Anything that makes the division rivals weaker while UM stays strong is fine by me.

All quiet. Too quiet.

Ohio, UMike, OGV thanks for cleaning up the trolls. I am a little busy ova heya in the 239. Last time Mrs. 86 will see me for the next three months, also known as "football season". LOL

As U can imagine as the NCAA announcement draws near and the season is about to start the trolls will increase exponentially.

Be careful before banning IP addys, SolarCane did it once and shut down the whole blog for a day because he got it wrong. As Ohio said, make sure you click on the IP ady to see who it may be before going ALL IN on the IP ban.

He's playing outdoors. Because Ralph is fun like that. But yeah, he's always missed around the blog universe and most everyone looks forward to when he'll return, even for just a little while, but he's probably reading as he can.

'Zilla, who was predicting a few weeks ago they were going to pull the upset? I want a hookup with what they're inhaling/ingesting to get that removed from reality. Chokes are notorious for scheduling weak out of conference and even then not being able to beat the Boise's or even ECU's, now they're going to stand up to team three in four years?

Riiiiiiiight.

The Jokies are going to get killed in this one. I hope I'm wrong, but they aren't in the same league as bama (not that many are.) But Bama will slip this year, hopefully twice.

Damn, didn't realize this was an issue.

Soup, U have my "Hail Flutie" pics from '07?

Keoki, I had the same problem with the avatar at first blush but it was more I had a moment of confusion where I was wondering, "Why's he putting up the helmet of the rivals when I know he can't stand them?" But then I took a closer look and now I see only the digit before I start laughing to myself every time I read a post of yours, don't sweat it.

Call the school ticket office because I heard they were going to add a few seats under the tarps. I also heard they were going to add a few bleacher seats behind the benches.

Go 'canes!!

Are those UM McDonald's cups everywhere in SF, or just on campus...

I saw Susan post a picture of one is why I'm asking...

Or wait until after the game has started and price usually drops. Primoseats is another location you can try and get tickets.

SOUP

Do not, I repeat DO NOT, travel to the 305 from LA without a ticket in your hand. U cannot pay for plane, hotel, car, parking and then show up and NOT have a ticket for a game like UM vs UF. In the parking lot U will pay BIG $$$, and that is only IF U can find one.

Wait for UM to announce something with the extra tickets that will be released. I will see what I can do for U.

canezilla

LA3 HOW MANY U NEED 2? I CAN ASK MY BOYS THEY ALWAYS HAVE EXTRA TICKETS FOR SALE

orange 'n green in the vein

If you make a multi-timezone pilgrimage without a ticket expecting to score big for this rivalry game (you know the one not against the Panther-- I mean Ryan Williams tells me it's against the, let's see here, ah yes, the OWLS), go ahead and buy your lottery ticket too and hope you have better luck there hitting it big. That is playing it a little too loose to the vest.

UpNorthCane27

Forreal La3 find tickets and make the purcagse my man dont go to the game hoping to buy tickets thats like playing with fire

Nick Saban’s recruiting tactics apparently don’t work on everyone. Notre Dame committed running back Elijah Hood, a five-star prospect out of Charlotte, N.C., took to Vine on Tuesday and offered a peek into his recruitment. The prospect filmed a large pile of Alabama recruiting letters before flushing one of the envelopes down his toilet — all while declaring “Roll Toilet!”

After the post made its rounds on Wednesday, Hood quickly deleted the Vine and took to Twitter to offer an apology.

JCane

I don't see Hood heading to the U though. He sounds like a kid who wants to stay closer to home.

Sad for D. Dye, but the message had to be sent. The U was trying to show it has done its part and has cooperated with the NCAA (including ending its association with someone who may not have), leaving the NCAA little left to add vs. the U while having done enough of their own garbage along the way. In addition, as much as I hate to see these young guys get hurt, if the NCAA penalizes coaches and players more than or at least equally to institutions, maybe it might slow down some of the problems before they happen. Until recently, players were never really concerned with being hit hard. If told that making some extra money or getting some freebies could really cost them a future, some would think twice. Luckily for Dye, he is a grad student, hasn't participated in the fall practices/scrimmages, and is eligible to transfer elsewhere without a penalty year, should he so desire (and if physically truly ready). Otherwise, he still has a degree that is quite unaffordable for most.
