4-Real

UMike, Demetrius Jackson said he just wants to go places he's never been.

UMike

4-Real...yea I still think he is all Cane..just passing along what I saw. Can't blame a kid for taking a few free trips lol

LB

Translation: if we don't let the Marine play, the U.S. will sign a constitutional amendment banning our power.

LB

Translating the newest depth chart (you're welcome):

- Stacy Coley, David Gilbert, and Alex Figeroua are working harder than any of the newcomers.
- Thurston Ambrister and Jimmy Gaines have made the most strides of the veterans.
- As of now, Shayon Green is our best defensive lineman.
- Deon Bush is still hurt.
- Ryan Williams is very good, and he doesn't have to worry about competing for #2. At this point, he's our starter for 2014.
- We're solid in the corners.
- Either Sandland has yet to learn the offense, or somebody lit a fire under Walford.
- The Rayshawn Scott hype is officially on pause.
- Golden isn't that crazy... Duke still returns kicks.
- Between Flowers, Feliciano, Bunche, McDermott, Linder, and Susan's Man... we've got the best top 6 lineman in the ACC.
- Kamalu, Renfrow, and AQM have come a long way very quickly. Kamalu is very quick off blocks, and AQM is a pass-rush specialist.
- Perryman stays healthy, and we've got another All-World candidate on our hands.
- O'Donnell is going to save our keysters more than once this year.

LB

Translating the depth chart (continued):
- Eduardo Clements deserves applause for sheer willpower and want to. He's also tied for our second-string back.
- Herb Waters is versatile.
- Hamilton is still learning DT.
- Goudis has improved enough to have won the kicker spot without competition.

UMike

Guess its true..Dillard no longer on the team

UMike

Looks like Odoi was right...good job on his part. Yes that is me eating crow lol. Even more reason for Cook to flip.

Ohio_Cane

Sad to see Dillard go. Thought he could've been a lot better. Maybe he will be wherever he ends up. Wish him luck

Ohio_Cane

- Deon Bush is still hurt.

Posted by: LB | August 20, 2013 at 08:18 AM

* And will be for a while. He'll play, but won't be 100% for some time. Glad he's out of red and yellow jerseys in practice

Ohio_Cane

Pumped Stacy Coley is making a run for starting WR. #3 guy right now after what, 2 months at UM? Love this kid. He's gonna be special.

trianglecane

So is Gabe Terry working his way back on the team or is he gone as well?

LB

"So is Gabe Terry working his way back on the team or is he gone as well?"

I heard whispers that he was trying to, but I'm leaning towards no at this point.

Gabe Terry went JUCO:

Ex-Hurricanes linebacker Gabe Terry lands at Mississippi junior college

by Matt Porter

Former Hurricanes linebacker Gabe Terry has landed at a Mississippi junior college, his high school coach said.

Palm Beach Central’s Rod Harris told the Post that Terry, who was dismissed from the team in April after his arrest on felony marijuana charges, is now at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Miss.

“They’re giving him an opportunity,” Harris said. “He took responsibility for his actions. Things are going really positive for him down there.”

In a message to the Post, Terry, who will play a roving outside linebacker/strong safety role, expressed his excitement over his team. “Keep your eye on CoLin,” he wrote.

Terry, who played last season as a 6-foot-3, 215-pound freshman, was arrested in April and charged with felony possession of marijuana and resisting an officer without violence, a misdemeanor.

He played in seven games in 2012 and finished with five tackles, mostly on special teams. His season highlight was a blocked punt Nov. 5 against Virginia Tech, after which he was named ACC Specialist of the Week.

Terry, however, was suspended twice in his brief UM career for breaking team rules. He was suspended for Miami’s spring game and some of spring practice. He was also suspended for a game against Virginia last Nov. 10 and was also held out the following week against USF.

As a high school senior, Terry was a Palm Beach Post All-Area selection in football and wrestling, where he was Post wrestler of the year.

CaneRock

Damn, Danny Dillard,Jalen Grimble,Dyron Dye...yuuuup, Golden's "cuttin' the cord" alright LMAO!

VA Cane

On FSU: says he loves their academic support, loves Fisher who speaks from the heart, and likes Dawsey

What academic support? Cause they help you cheat your way through school!!!! Not very wise to their ways I'd say.

CoCane

What a little bird told me. TIFWIW

Dillard was scared of contact. He's worried about getting hurt, so he tries to run like a scatback to keep from absorbing big hits. He expressed this mentally verbally to disclosed teammates & coaches sometime during fall camp. His days had been numbered since then. I don't know if he was politely pushed out or he wanted to leave though. I was also told that running soft was the knock on Dillard coming out of high school & that if he had ran with more ruggedness he would've been a 4* & more heavily recruited.

Grimble had a similar mindset. He really wanted to play DE. The team needed him to blossom into a DT. Which is what most projected him as coming out of high school. The feeling among the team was that he never really committed to the conditioning to develop into that DT that we desperately needed. Too bad, because the staff believed he had the talent to be special if he really wanted it.

I can't say who told me but considering the source, I have no reason to doubt him. Ijs

trianglecane

Hopefully these two young men will not have regrets when they get older.

YUP and YUP.

SOUP

Agreed on Dillard. Sad to see him go.

Let's hope Tucker and Edwards LIKE contact, not try to avoid it.

SEE HAGENS.

SOUP

FYI...according to UM Dye ALREADY has his UM undergrad degree in hand.

Huh, and all this time I thought He was a baller...more like a BALLERINA!

I just watched the latest Canes Camp Report video...one thing that it shows is our OL is opening HUGE holes for our RB's

canezilla

UNRELIABLE SOURCE SAYS... TOMORROW LOOKS LIKE A GOOD DAY FOR THE NCAA TO COME OUT.DONNA BACK FROM VACATION AND GOLDEN ENDS THE CAMP EARLY...WHATEVER THIS MEANS LOL..

UMike

This is how the NCAA gets its last jab at Miami. Miami embarrassed them, told the world how they cheated and lied, and the NCAA cant let that slide. They know they can't hammer us with penalties cause of the media backlash and all, but they can hurt us by dragging this out as long as they want

UpNorthCane27

Sad sh** senseless violence...

Fully agree; they're cowards!

j.w.

Tomorrow, today, Thursday. I'm betting word leaks today and the presser is either late today or early tomorrow. Hoping its today so I can enjoy the Sox Giants game on Wed. without having to hit refresh 10,000 times on twitter during that game.

Ohio_Cane

Keoki, your avatar pic ticks me off to no end every time I see it, then I have to remind myself what it actually is. LOL

UMike

Joe Garcia retweeted a post by someone that said there was a lot of buss around Miami that the NCAA info will be released in the next 48 hours. Then again, we have though this 10 times already lol

Ohio_Cane

Whenever NCAA announces sanctions (or lack thereof) it will be in the afternoon. Never seen them announce in the morning.

VA Cane

I think Lombardi said dancing is a contact sport, football is a hitting sport...pretty sure he said that.

WWIN

WWIN, earlier comment of yours... I don't think Dorsett and Scott are going pro after this season, unless Morris throws for like 5,000 yards (which THAT isn't happening as we all know). Hurns is a senior, so maybe he gets drafted.

Posted by: Kenyon19_BR | August 20, 2013 at 02:41 AM

First off, you don't have to be great to get drafted but you need to show something at the combine. NFL scouts loved Dorsett and Scott last year. The only reason Scott is not starting now is bcuzof his off the ffield issues last year and he's been banged up this year, but he woulda really broke out if he wasn't suspended at the end of last year.

UMike

WWIN..all it takes is for ONE team to like you..look at Tebow and EJ Manual lol

WWIN

^^^^^^
Yeah EXACTLY lol

Some fans jus say they shouldn't go pro bcuz they don't want em to

UMike

Dont mind the trolls people..nothing to see here..

Ohio_Cane

It's troll time. Ignore them.

WWIN

Check out these NFL stats of dropped passes since some of yall don't think our wr's should ever drop a pass.

https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/05/23/drop-percentage/

http://stats.washingtonpost.com/fb/leaders.asp?range=nfl&type=receiving&rank=232

UMike

Ohio..I got to zap my first troll!!! lol

UMike

Don't I get a shirt for that or something lol

Ohio_Cane

UMike, enjoy it, cuz from now on it's just headache lol

UMike

And what is the point of rolling over dumb stuff? Like Perry is gone..who cares lol..at least drop something big lol

Ohio_Cane

UMike, did 86 show U how to ban IPs?

UMike

Ohio..he might of..not sure..Im sure I could figure it out..but feel free to email the steps if you want.

UpNorthCane27
