Quick aside: As @davehydesports noted earlier today, three members of the 1972 Dolphins have declined their White House invitations Tuesday because they disagree politically with this administration: Manny Fernandez, Bob Kuechenberg and Jim Langer

I saw Coley play in HS and he was really good. I saw many of the receivers play in HS and the Canes seemed to have recruited well under Golden. Duke was a special player in HS and you could see his special talent on every play, even when he wasn't carryjng the ball. Duke also has the heart of a loin and many of us will see how his will to win will carry the Canes further than most pundits think. Duke will make big plays when they are most needed. This is one reason why I believe the Canes will win 10 or more games and an ACC championship.

Coley is not Duke but he is in the category and playing with Duke and the other south Florida players will push him to a new level. Golden is building something special in Coral Gables.

Sounds like a car rental will be necessary or at least a hotel change and a taxi to and from the game from a closer location than FLL airport hotels to me then honestly, but I don't know what kind of budget you've got for the two days you'll be in the EST . . .

There IT is right there.

After they win 9-10 wins and have an ACC title game appearance this year even the doubters will have to believe. I think it will be 2015 before we compete for a National Championship and are back in the top 10 on the regular.

And I am FINE with that.

If you need to save some scratch and have to stay at a Marriott there are Marriott properties near the Tri-Rail stations or simply hotel shuttle back to the airport and grab the Tri-Rail Shuttle

Take the Tri-Rail to Golden Glades. Then either grab a taxi from there. Usually there are taxis waiting or for big games, Tri Rail offers shuttles from Golden Glades to Sun Life. They used to charge $5 bucks for the shuttle

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT listen to this man.

He is clearly insane.

Old Skool

Insanity reigns

The following is from the Sun-Sentinel for the Super Bowl 2010

You may want to forget driving altogether and take Tri-Rail. For $5 roundtrip, you can ride the commuter train to the Golden Glades station, then take a shuttle to and from Sun Life Stadium.

Tri-Rail will offer special trains and shuttle buses for the game. Roundtrip fares are $5, which includes the cost of both the train and shuttle.

Tickets are available at any of Tri-Rail's ticket kiosks or vending machines.

The trains will drop off riders at the Golden Glades station. From there, riders will board a shuttle bus to arrive at the Wal-Mart bus drop-off and pick-up location across the street from the stadium. Shuttle buses will begin operating the loop between the train station and the bus stop at 1 p.m.

According to UM and the NCAA, U are considered or classified as a "BOOSTER" if, among other things like make a donation:

1. Your have bought tickets to any game.
2. If you promote UM athletics in anyway.

I thought U called that a "FAN"?

Steeler...yeah I found that VERY odd. I mean it's not like by going to The White House U have to vote for the current President or support or promote him IF U don't want to, you're just going to get recognition for what U accomplished (17-0).

But to each his own I guess?

SOUP

I am NOT saying that it isn't $5 like in 2010 I am saying that your plan is INSANE!

U go ahead, I'll be at the tailgate while U are trying to get Tri-Rail at 5 AM on a Saturday, taking that to Golden Glades and then standing there in the dark until the shuttles bus comes along to drag U, your cooler, grill, tent and chair to the stadium only to do it all over again after the game.

THAT is insane U silly rabbit!

As far as game. I can stay anywhere. I was just trying to stay close to airport or Sunlife. GAME is the big thing. I can rent car but I don't have parking pass and want to be there at first light.

This is a Canes thing and you WOULD understand. Bringing my son for his first Canes game!!!! He is born and raised Green & Orange in the state of Maryland!

So I can claim I'm not a UM booster because I bought tickets for the opponent they are playing, not because they play the Hurricanes, and everybody who has no clue will tell you I hate Al Golden so I can't be considered as promoting the guy with a 13-11 record at the school?

Sweet. I'm going to go ruin some eligibility and narc to the NCAA to grease the wheels this year for the team I don't promote, be back in a little bit.

Tail gate with "U" fans before the game and AFTER the stompping! Just have to figure out if I should rent car or take taxi. Traveling light with throw away backpacks and plenty of Canes colors!

CoCane

CR,

I agree. I saw the rs FR Jontavious Carter in action at the spring game. He'll be a good one. Reminded me of Hankerson with better hands. As players leave, he'll rise up the depth charts. By his rs JR year he'll be helping Waters, Lewis & Coley do damage. I look for him to be the #1 WR his rs SR year.

I wonder why there isn't any reports on how the defense did in friday night's scrimmage? Lol! Uh oh...

mountain cane

Why do Canes fans have a view on whether some Non-Canes who played for the Dolphins 40 years ago go to the White House or not?

mountain cane

CoCane,

If your crystal ball can forecast the performance of an 18 year old 5 years into the future, can it predict stocks too?

Canesfan_1

Some people are optimists, some are pessimists, some have an agenda.

Anybody that continues to bang on this team, and even make up stories about our best or 2nd best player not caring about winning and partying too much, well that's just an agenda.

Insisting that our rivals UF/FSU go 50/50 or outnumber us at the stadium, well maybe that's just a pessimistic attitude, since past history shows a 70/30 split.

In any event, attitude is a choice. You can choose to be a bitter and miserable person and choose to ignore what's around you or take a positive approach and hope for the best.

CoCane

First of all. I don't have a crystal ball. I have 2 round, heavy azz, giant black pearls (nuts). & they don't do stocks. It can predict that Jontavious Carter is 19, not 18 want to be smart azz...

It can also predict your verbal lashing if you don't tip toe carefully on the thin ice you're standing on. When grown folks are talking, watch your mouth...

Pebble Cane. smh. My late great uncle told me just before I started my 1st major beef when I was 14: "Be careful who you fukk wit. You never know what the next man is thinking or capable of. So if you gon start some shit, be ready to go to any level necessary". Obviously, you've never had the privelage of learning this life lesson.

But you gon learn tody...

I've been peeping your lame azz attempts to check posts with a weak sarcastic vibe. That shyt don't make you seem smart or cool. Obviously you think it does but you're lying to yourself. Here's the true vibe that you give off...

Your posts are like a mosquito. You latch on to a comment & try to suck the blood from it to survive. You think you're making an intellegent point but you're just that annoying zipping sound that a mosquito makes when they fly by someones ear. I swiped at you to warn you but your so hungry for attention you bit me on the ankle. Now here comes my hand to swat & splat your little azz.

Obviously my post meant based on Carter's performance in the spring game, combined with his physical attributes, he has the goods to be a playmaker by his JR & SR years. As long as he doesn't get a career ending injury or has discipline problems that ends his time at the "U". If you went to or saw the spring game & have any type of football knowledge it obvious he has the goods. I shouldn't have to break it down for you this in this literal manner but you are without a doubt one DUM FUKK ON A EPIC LEVEL. I promise everyone else in the Legion understood this but you...

Dawg, you need to let your brain catch an adult growth spurt before you post any more of your dum shyt on here.

Also, go back to elemantary school for math. If he's a redshirt freshman now, it won't be 5 years before my prediction comes true. In only 2 years he'll be a redshirt junior. Your dum ass was 3 years off.

This is me wiping up your mosquito remains off of my floor with a napkin & dumping your trash azz in the garbage. COKALICIOUS

I'll leave you too to your Texas cage death match, but I have to be honest and say up until today, I didn't even know Carter existed. We are just so damn deep at WR, and add 4 legit TE's to boot.

Think about it: Hurns, Dorsett, Lewis Scott, Waters, Coley, + others and niw you guys are talking about Caeter.

We need to RS a couple of these guys to spread them out, don't you think?

Funny I just spoke to Lance by phone, says he feels the punishment is WAY too harsh, does NOT approve. Told me: "Amphetamines are the breakfast of Champions! Well, that and Budweiser."

Then he hung up.

I love the variety here on Canespace. One minute the mood is like "Win one for the Gipper", the next it's like "The Ultimate Fighting Championship"!

By the way there's a great UFC card tonight from the Boston Garden on the new FOX Sports channel. Shogun vs Chael should be awesome! My buddy at work who knows more about the UFC than anyone I know likes Chael. Any thoughts?

Go 'canes!

CoCane

Canesfan1,

Naw, the ones that need the redshirt got it. I think Lewis got the redshirt last year. He played in too many games. If I'm wrong, someone correct me. This is how the WR position breaks down:

Seniors Allen Hurns
Juniors Phil Dorsett, Reshawn Scott
Sophomores Herb Waters, Malcolm Lewis
Freshmen Jontavious Carter(rs), D'Mauri Jones(rs), Stacy Coley

They're spaced out nicely between classes. Imo

CoCane

Correction: I "don't" think Lewis got the redshirt last year.

I know you probably knew what I meant but I have to be precise for the dum fukks like Pebble Cane. Lol!

Montreal-Cane

CoCane i just watched a couple of episodes of Canes report...Jontavious Carter good frame and good hands...
