Your Miami Hurricanes beat the USF Bulls 49-21 on a sunny and sweltering Saturday at Raymond James Stadium. The game was close for the first part of the first quarter. And after that, well, not so much.
As a result, Miami is 4-0 for first time since 2004 because so many Canes fans showed up in Tampa like Native, Raize and 86Cane (L to right R)
Miami has won six straight games in convincing fashion dating back to 2012 .
And speaking of fashion, well here is some right here if U get my drift.
So what I am really saying is dig those boots!
Miami has not trailed in a game for the last 357 minutes of game time.
They may never trail again if Al Golden keeps this team on its current pace.
We came, we saw, and then as previously planned, we took their women.
So, is there really any more to say?

Has anybody here ever heard of a coach being fired in a less dignified fashion? I sure haven't.
I mean, I guess they didn't take him into the showers and shoot him, but wow.

No, the question is: Who cares? LOL
He will sit out a year or two with his salary package from USC and still make millions at home watching ESPN. After that who knows but some lower profile school?

Had a great time at the game yesterday.......and YES, it was a little warm to say the least. It was great seeing Mr and Mr 86, Canezilla and meeting Native and his lovely family. Thanks for the tasty treats as well.
Also ran into a couple of former bloggers (Rashad aka Playa, and Mr. Canez1 himself). Great seeing these folks as well.

Looks like it really doesn't matter if you lose in the SEC, you do not drop anywhere as long as you play another SEC team. There are 4 1-loss SEC teams ahead of Miami.

Otis Anderson
It is truly satisfying to see the CANES finally doing what they're supposed to again - winning! Beating bad teams by enough points to play the 3rd string instead of barely holding on for a lucky win. It is obvious that this team is loaded with talent and the future looks even brighter.
My only note of caution...we've played one decent team, at home. The mental errors we saw yesterday will be addressed and hopefully fixed. It is a long tough conference schedule from here on out. Every play and every game won't be picture-perfect. But it sure looks like the Program is on the right track and very very close to being nationally relevant again - win the Coastal & break into the top 10.
Good times Legion!

Canes have a new commit Mark Walton has all the makings of the next great SoFla RB. 2016 prospect but will be recruiting for Miami for 3 years
Posted by: Montreal-Cane | September 29, 2013 at 06:24 PM
Every game matters not just GT. A good football team takes it game at a time. You never look ahead, you plan for your next game. That's how you lose games by saying this game matters that game we can win etc........they all matter!!!! JMO
Posted by: VA Cane | September 29, 2013 at 06:40 PM
Man..good day for Miami..Walton is a future 5-Star top RB! Keeping them home!
VA, I agree. I do think GT is a legitimate "trap game", although I think Golden will have them ready.
Posted by: UMike | September 29, 2013 at 06:50 PM
How is GTech the game? We are going to win hands down. It may be a little back in forth in the first half, just because we haven't played anyone since Florida. But in the 3rd we will be clearly ahead. GTech is at a disadvantage cuz they can't gear up for comebacks. Up by 17 and its over. They do not have an answer for our WRs, TE, or Duke. Plus our ST returners are fantastic. Defense will shut them down. The only team that can beat Miami on Saturday is Miami, by not showing up. Miami will show up. This group has never been as focused as they are right now. They know. They know.

Surprised Walton pulled the trigger already. Said he wanted to wait till his bday in march
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | September 29, 2013 at 07:46 PM
I think it's great Walton decided to pull the triggerand not play any drawn out hat tricks. I saw him play a couple of times and he is fast, shifty and has good instincts. It is too early to say he will be as good as Duke, but I am confident that he will be one of the top running backs when he graduates. That BTW team is small, but really fast, talented and well coached. There is enough talent coming out of BTW and the other state of Miami schools to build a solid foundation for years to come.
