I agree Raize. Its not a recipe for winning football games. But I'll take it and shut my mouth while this bus rolls on. 3rd down is really the glaring stat. We have sucked on 3rd down. Need to feed the TE on 3rd and Hagens on 3rd and short. Hagens is underused on short distances. The one good push and run we got up the middle was Hagens.

If it comes to that Montresl i think that they will make a play for Al Golden. Golden is in many ways a younger Mack brown. But i dont thonk Goldeb would take it.

Texas has enough talent to win the Big 12, so Mack may no be going anywhere.

Yo 5* coach is on the ropes again! LMAO

If Mack stays a few more years I think Applewhite succeeds him.

The Dude

Chris Petersen, Art Briles and Gary Patterson would all have to turn it down first. Al ain't done til he wins a championship at Miami.

It was an Ugly W. but a W is a W.the box score will show a W so who cares...

My hats off to the defense.

Watched it with one of my best friends who is a diehard Gator Alum. He even praised Miami's D. He did not have kind words for Muschamp after the game.

Gotta say, Golden has been preparing for this moment since he got here. The team has more experience, deeper in certain positions, plus they are stronger and better conditioned than in years past. All this showed today...

Agree 100% and i hope Kehoe, Coley and Al are upset about the OL...Congrats to coach D the game ball should be yours.

A win's a win, and one over FU is even more sweet! Had all day activities with the kids today, so catching up with you all now. Great showing from the Defensive front 7 again, very impressed with how far they've come. My pick for LOF Waters is looking great as well. Morris was OK, great first Q, not much after that. Duke looked good when given room to run, and I'll give D'Onofrio credit here, he really played to his strengths. But my star coaching unit goes to the Conditioning staff, man our guys are in shape.
Disappointments after two games: the OL, the DB, and Coley. Not sure what happened to that dominant OL that we thought we were getting, and I thought the DB's would be the strength of the D, not its Achilles Heel. Anyone else saying "well, we know that isn't going to work" repeatedly during the second and third Q on offense?
But those concerns seem correctible. The OL may have to sit Seantrel and give someone else a shot. The DBs get a key piece back, and I think we'll see all of them get better. Coley needs to loosen the reigns, I know Dorsett and our TE aren't inspiring a lot of confidence right now, but I still think the horses are there if we need to pass in order to open up the run.
Just my thoughts, I'm ecstatic about the 2-0 start, looks like we're in the top 25 to stay for a few years now!

j.w.

As for Texas head coach next year: Larry Coker! Wouldn't that be funny.

WWIN

j.w., it wuznt Seantrel's fault for the O-line and they did give somebody else a chance last week that's why #77 started today. The passing problems have been on Morris not Dorsett and the TE's. 3 passes total have been someone besides Morris' fault so far this season

Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas lineman Anthony Moten, a former UF commitment who is currently uncommitted, was hanging out with high school teammate and UM commitment Nick Linder during the game, and also joked around with UM commitment Travonte Valentine of Hialeah Champagnat Catholic.

“[Saturday’s win] showed me that Miami is coming back,” Moten said. “I think it’s time to come to decision, [but] I’m going to wait. I’m just in the moment right now, but it was a good game and great experience.”

Nice article CaneRock! Over 100 recruits and 350 H.S. coaches were at the game! In 1 more year our defense will look like UF's and then the team will know that they are truly "back"!

NEW BLOG IS UP!

I was pretty unhappy about the empty seats. I blame the UM ticket office. I called last month to buy 6 tickets and the ticket office told me they were sold out and to go to StubHub. What the *&^!
