Willie..lol
Unbeaten going into a rivalry game, ill take it.
But if we are what we've shown the last 2 weeks, it will be ugly.

That was a td no doubt, but you cant leave it in the hands of the refs --esp at home, and esp when we are a 3 td favorite.

D4-Cane

BEERicane, this is the Miami-FSU game. Anything can happen. If our boys play to their level we will do what I stated. Never give up, watch some Miami-FSU games of history. I am not saying I'd bet a lot of money on my Canes, but rule them out like they're a speed bump, I gotta problem with that sentiment.

Sarasota 'cane

We are who we are! 1-2 years away from what we all consider "back"!

Sarasota 'cane

And that's if all of our recruits pan out.

Sarasota 'cane

The noles will have more points than UM halfway through the 1st!!

BEERicane

I agree this is a rivalry game and all, but I honestly think we are playing like our true identity right now. We are not that good. Period.

I've seen every single FSU-Miami game for the past 30 years. This is easily the widest gap in both talent and execution in the history of the series. Unfortunately, We are on the receiving end of it. We are talking bad NFL vs good college team gap here. (yup I think FSU would Jacksonville a run)

I don't want to see it, nor so I necessarily think it will happen, but the game could be over by the second quarter.

Terrance Sullivan

LOL I wil take being not good and being 7-0! Go Canes!

TriangleCane

duke going blow for blow with vt.. Miami has no easy games left.

AfriCane

I hate the fringing ACC! There r no gimmies. Every game is a battle.

TriangleCane

fsu has 28 on state in the 1st quarter. LOL.. I ain't scared.

nemo2002

Exciting game. No turnovers for UM. Important win over a determined opponent.

We're not losing games we ought to win - which is a clear sign of progress.
We're winning games in the fourth quarter, which is excellent.

BOTTOM LINE: The Noles ought to be worried. Next week the Canes are coming to town!

BEERicane

Unless you are FSU, Nigerian. All of their games were gimmies. Even in Death Valley

If be worried, too if I just put up 35 in the first quarter in a no-gimmie ACC game. I'd be very worried.

AfriCane

& enough with the -ve talk. Yes Seminoles r good. But they r our blood enemies. I don't give a F how good they r. I don't care where they r ranked. We r the [|_|] & they can kiss the 'pinky ring.'
God forbid any of the players r reading the blog. & u r all crying we r going to get blown out. SHUT UR MOUTH, u wannabe armchair coaches...

Not true.

AfriCane

But in saying that, maybe we need to stop recruiting QB from the state of FL.

Sarasota 'cane

In the modern era of the rivalry I would have to say that Butch Davis was coaching the worst UM team(s) the noles ever faced.
And the only reason it wasn't one of Randy's shyt squads is because the noles were sucking almost as bad as UM during the same time frame.

AfriCane

Beer, u r wrong! Not in talent. Our talent is Preety good. Coaching (co-ordinators) maybe. Not talent!

BEERicane

Tis true, Sota. Tis, true.

BEERicane

You will see come NFL draft time. FSU will have multiple first rounders. We will have nada

BEERicane

I agree for the most part. But that '97 gap was wide and this game has a real chance of being worse than that 40something -0 blowout.

BEERicane

Nigerian, there is a difference between talent (active ability) and potential (ability not yet realized). I'd say we are even in terms of potential, but not talent right now.

Sarasota 'cane

I didn't think FSU had a team like this after watching the UF/FSU game last year. They're having a breakout year, as will UM in 2014-15 if the pieces fall into place.
Can UM beat the noles next week? Yes. Will they? Ask me next Sunday!

Go 'canes!

ARCane

Woohoo espn has us at 8-0

BEERicane

Neither did I but those WRs are grown ass men and that oLine plays really well together.

Sarasota 'cane

We all know what your saying Beer but I'm not going to concede the game until it's been played. UM can win the game, that's all I need to get me through the week!!

Go 'canes!

86Cane

I have to admit, I felt like a rocking chair.

Sarasota 'cane

UM WILL BEAT FSU NEXT WEEK!! VAULT THAT RIGHT NEXT TO THE 12% CREW!!

GO 'CANES!!!!!

BEERicane

Fair enough, Sota. That makes sense. But to me this is like being on death row praying for a pardon.

AfriCane

Beer! U need to chill out man. U r really -ve.

BEERicane

So what do you think the line will be? FSU by 30+?

AfriCane

Nice way to promote your team, FSU, on the blog beer.

Sinistercane

FSU going stack the box and play the deep pass

Sarasota 'cane

I think the line will be FSU -8.5

BEERicane

Every year I've called for a win vs FSU we've lost. Gotta promote the opposite prognostication this year!

Terrance Sullivan

We are 7-0. I will celebrate that I will worry about FSU tomorrow!

Sinistercane

Please NO MORE 3 MAN RUSH

TriangleCane

i am so happy we did not hire bo pelini

Sarasota 'cane

Look at the BC/UNC Score at the half. UNC is better than their record, and BC had FSU down 17 early.
That's "Sarasota Logic" right there!!

UM WILL BEAT FSU NEXT SATURDAY NIGHT!!

Go 'canes!

AfriCane

Our O line is better than FSU's.

dg

Coaching is the difference between the Noles and Canes! Simply put Jimbo is better. Golden and company suck at in game aadjustments. Expect a Noles route and just maybe D'No will be gone. Gotta be a realist.

Canesteeler

We still are in need of talent especially at QB and the DL. However we are far far away from being a well coached team. Every fukking week we are out schemed! I hope Morris receives his degree because the only way he sees the NFL on Sundays is if he purchases a ticket.

AfriCane

If I hear Jamie's Winston give another interview, I'll puke. He sounds like Scooby Doo. Goofy ass!

360Cane

Morris is still gimpy on that ankle. It's definitely still messing with his head and I think Coley's starting to lose confidence in him with the play calling. The O was very vanilla today. Not sure what the gameplan was but I'm not cool with the holding the dogs back because we have FSwho coming up. These past few weeks were a perfect opportunity for Williams to make a name for himself but I guess he didn't.

Our Dline just isn't fast. Wake had a great gameplan. You see how far they were spreading our defense? Spreading out a slow defense is the way to do it. Takes forever for those linemen to get to the QB. No rush on the QB, there is absolutely no reason to press on the outside. We need some speed on that DL.

Sarasota 'cane

The Cardiac 'canes!!

360Cane

But ultimately, we're 7-0 going into FSwho. Still an over achievement this year if you ask me.

BEERicane

FG,

One thing this staff does very well is making in-game adjustments. It's our initial game plans that need a ton of work. We are a horrendous first half team. This is why we've been down 10+ out the shoot the last 3 games. This is also evidence of the staff'a ability to make adjustments. That much I will give them credit for.

BEERicane

VT sucks! Down 6 to Duke at home in the 3rd. I know their D is good but I do not think they can score on UM.

Go 'canes!
