That was about the dirtiest football game ive seen in quite awhile. Fake forest is a dirty team. Those acc officials were bias against the Canes. The acc needs to study their officials calls along with the film. They purposely mark the ball short against the Canes. They refused to bring out the chains on one of our drives and then reversed the call and gave us a first down. Obviously they are making it up as the game progresses.
I heard that FSU was telling recruits that we were gonna get the death penalty. What difference is this new regime from Urban Cryer. I had respect for Bowden but im ready to hate the Criminals like I hate the Turds.
CANEZ fans we have a serious issue at QB right now but even more serious next year, think about if Ryan Williams is no better then a turnover prone/anti-accuracy QB, we're screwed in 2015
BEERicane, you are acting as if FSU will beat Miami 76-0 next week. This is the same FSU team that a freshmen-laden Miami team hung with for most of the game.
Sure, FSU adds another good recruiting class to the 2012 edition. But so did Miami. So why the fear?
Losing today would've put us in the passenger seat of the coastal race. Now, no matter the score, we're in the drivers seat. Much better than what it could've been.
We've played poorly the last couple weeks and should've lost 2 in a row to inferior teams. But we didn't. Shows tons of grit.
Like I said, this team isn't "THERE" yet, but we're a LOT closer than we were last year. Feels great to be undefeated.
Beericane, in game adjustments means after a series or two. Wide line splits..come on saw that in middle school. Line up on inside shoulder of lineman and shoot gaps, linebackers clean up the rest. Or just blitz..a damn car could drive thru those gaps. As others have said, make them adjust to you. We are a passive team and Noles are an aggressive team..aggressor normally wins!
soup, thanks for the awesome shirt! I will sport it proud around the U.P! My daughter thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread! Canespace is the where it is! Go Canes!
Nothing personal against SM17, but truth be told he's not getting it done! And its OBVIOUS that our playcalling is set to babysit him. Its not all his fault neither, he needs to know that his play can get him benched, he has no fear of that right now
Yes, plays are called to babysit SM... But we have a QB that has a rocket of an arm, but no soft touch...so our game plan is to run the ball to set up for a play action to throw long. If the o-line breaks or if the opposing d has some real good pass rushers, then SM lands on his back. We don't run the option and SM is not very capable of lofting a ball to neutralize a blitz... We weren't able to establish a consistent run in the first half...to me that's on the o-line. We are also really run oriented this year. Maybe if we need to go to the air more, we would need to have better protection.

I am not sure how you come to that conclusion. Players improve over time unless they are morons. Did SM throw an INT today? Many? Ryan Williams might not have a rocket arm, but I think he might be able to utilize the TEs better than Morris...I don't think we can say how Ryan will work out next year until next year comes along.
LOL I guess I was wrong about VT, that being said we better beat them and other Coastal division opponents coming up. Charlotte or Bust. Go Canes! Really Happy our Canes are 7-0! That Is all.
Based off of the fact he has looked good against scrubs (and scrub teams). He hasn't seen a single legit defensive play. You can't say how Williams is based upon anything he has done so far. It is laughable that people think Williams is the next starting QB. He is a solid backup but does not have the moxy you need to be a success at QB.

Watching that game, too, Sora. VT offense has me scratching my head. They have some issues

Duke has 3 TOs, too.

If we played Clemson, who would be favored? I suspect it would be Clemson. The pounding they took vs FSU was not a fluke.

Duke (the team) is looking strong

Duke throws 4 picks, didn't convert a single 3rd down and eeks out a win in Blacksburg. I sure hope they are calling for Boone's head in Durham!
I thought our only problem was turnovers!
