didn't see this game, but read the recaps and stats. Appears once again we plaed down to the level of the opponent.
The improvement on TO's should have helped, and 200 yds rushing is solid. TOP was ok. So why such a close game?
Agree with earlier comments. The O has been toned down to compensate for the SM turnovers. To be fair he has not improved fro last season or emerged as the leader of this team. I doubt this will be much better in the games left as FSU and VT will be much tougher tests.
Clearly the D has improved, and clearly we've come back to win 2 games a year ago we may have lost. But the O is eratic at best, and other than a good ground game has yet to really have a big game. At this point you have ask if this is possible.
I called it 8-4, based on SM as the leader and the D needing help. Now I'd say we're good for 9-3 or maybe 10-2, but its SM that needs the help and the D has come on....
To be honest, I see only a few ways we can beat FSU.
1. Rivalry game - you never know
2. After a super season Winston finally has a terrible game
3. It rains so hard the field becomes a mess....
Good news, given the polls if we lose the drop won't be too bad. The season is really the VT game.....
College Game Day will be in Tallahassee!, the Canes are leading the Coastal Division and the Canes are relevant again. Golden, Morris, Coley and D'No all have accomplished something that the Canes haven't experienced in a decade. I am proud of my Canes and I am sure Golden Will have them ready to represent us well on the national stage.
When Williams played this year he looked WAY more comfortable than Morris. Golden don't wanna stick Williams in cuz he knows he'll have a qb controversy on his hands
No matter what anyone says...two things I know about next week's game....Miami will not quit and they won't get tired!!! I like our odds...12%er...vault it
Sota...I would prefer we fire the guy from the UM ticket office who said UM only had 3700 tickets left for the game. They weere lucky IF there were 37,000 people at the game. It was pathetic, as was the game.
How are we going to make a run in 2015 with a first time starting QB? Williams will be long gone. This is why Olsen or Kaaya will start next yr. They are the future. Not RW!

So this was the year/the game where the trend of sparsely populated canes games was going to correct itself? C'mon man! It's who the fans are! You want more folks in the stands then lower the ticket prices. Give away the upper deck and be happy if they buy a drink or a dog. The locals don't have any reason to drop a $100.00 bill in there, but they may leave $30-50 if you give them the opportunity.
Lower the field and put the students right behind both benches like in Blacksburg or any other college town for that matter. But you know what they'll do? They'll lower the field, put seats right behind both benches and then sell seat licenses and charge $100.00 a game per. F that! They don't know how to market their product. Neither do the Dolphins.
I wanted to be 7-0 heading into next weekend and here we are. It hasn't been pretty, but we're here. I'll be routing for a miracle knowing that's what it will take to beat FSU. They are in my opinion the best team in the country. We need Morris to play his best game ever (which I can't see happening) especially on 3rd down and Goal Line. We need turnovers, probably 3 or 4. We need Goudis. Lastly, we need it to come down to a FSU kick. Wide Right IV! Go Canes!
Why Baylor beat a POS Kansas team that is like 2-5. at least Wake is 4-4. Go Beavers Beat Stanford! Connor Shaw has big onions as he leads Cocky to a comeback win over Truman and Mizzou. College Football baby Just win and advance. Gotta Love It. LOL Sota U cracking me up with the excuses. Love U man.

So I understand you correctly, P17 hasn't played much but when he does...his piss poor play trumps Williams because he RW has played against scrubs?

We're still a year or so away from being a championship team.

said this before the season. not ready yet, and with SM leaving we'll need another to retool at QB and add more depth.
