I don't know, but I do know I saw Morris go through progressions on Saturday. He may not do it on every play, but I saw him progress through at least 3 reads on different plays.

They can say what they want. But Miami has a shot to win this game. This isn't going to be a gimmie lay down for FSU like Clemson was, they are a good team. Playing all three fazes very good. Jameis is playing great, got a three headed monster at RB. 4 recievers. ..and a great TE. But this game on Saturday is what we have been waiting for. Nobody said we would be 7-0 ranked #7 in the country. Let's go canes. Put JBoo on his ass

Posted by: laquinton | October 28, 2013 at 08:50 AM

I agree 100%. That is why they play the games. Winners and loosers are determined every Saturday, and UM is perfect so far this year. If UM does not turn the ball over, they can win this game.

I love those stats posted by Ohio Cane. I like the fact that UM feels it can line up and run the ball on anyone when it has to. That is how championships are built, and that is how football is meant to be played. Unless the Canes get behind in this game, I think we will see more ball control and less hurry up as we saw against Wake. I think Morris and Coley have been playing a little possum, and you will see a few additional wrinkles that we have not seen. Most of all, the Canes have the ability to at least shut down the running game and make FSU one dimensional.

I feel really good about the Canes chances, but most importantly, I would like to see them come out on Saturday and play like real Hurricanes - from start to the four zeros don't back down, execute at a high level and play like true winners. Go Canes!

The Road to Charlotte:

1. Miami
Record: 7-0
Conference Record: 3-0
Remaining Conference Games: 5
Vs. Conference Teams with >.500%: 3
- at #3 FSU *
- vs. Va. Tech *
- at Duke *
- vs. UVA
- at Pitt

Notes: Miami has played the LEAST amount of conference games than anyone on the Coastal (Syracuse also only has three). Therefore, it is critical to win these remaining games and for the teams behind them to lose, especially Va. Tech. They also have the toughest remaining schedule in the road to Charlotte.

2. Virginia Tech
Record: 6-2
Conference Record: 3-1
Remaining Conference Games: 4
Vs. Conference Teams >.500%: 2
- at B.C.
- at #7 UM *
- vs. Maryland *
- at UVA

Notes: Maryland isn't as good as advertised. B.C. can be sneaky. UVA is a joke. UM MUST win vs. the Hokies. to secure a spot in Charlotte.

3. Georgia Tech
Record: 5-3
Conference Record: 4-2
Remaining Conference Games: 2
Vs. Conference Teams >.500%: 2
- vs. Pitt
- at #8 Clemson
- vs. Alabama A&M
- vs. Georgia
Notes: They've won two in a row. Pitt is weird, and Clemson is a top ten team. Winning both conference games seems like a tall order.

4 (T). Duke
Record: 6-2
Conference Record: 2-2
Remaining Conference Games: 4
Vs. Conference Teams >.500%: 2
- vs. N.C. State
- vs. #7 UM
- at Wake
- at N.C.

Notes:
These guys have won four in a row, including two conference games. They're bowl eligible and have an outside shot at the title game. Duke gets a week off, N.C. State, then UM.

4 (T). Pittsburgh
Record: 4-3
Conference Record: 2-2
Remaining Conference Games: 4
Vs. Conference Teams >.500%: 2
- at Ga. Tech
- vs. #25 Notre Dame
- vs. N.C.
- at Syracuse
- vs. #7 UM

Notes: Though they've underachieved, they're still in the hunt... kind of. They own a tiebreaker over Duke. They're the weirdest team in the ACC, and the last team on UM's schedule.

5. North Carolina
Record: 2-5
Conference Record: 1-3
Remaining Conference Games: 4
Vs. Conference Teams >.500%: 2
- at N.C. State
- vs. UVA
- at Pitt
- vs. Old Dominion
- vs. Duke

Notes: They're not making the ACC Title Game, as UM, Va. Tech, and Georgia Tech have all beaten them. But the effort vs. UM may have inspired them to a bowl game and many of the remaining games look winnable.

6. Virginia
Record: 2-6
Conference Record: 0-4
Remaining Conference Games: 4
Vs. Conference Teams >.500%: 3
- vs. #8 Clemson
- at N. Carolina
- at #7 UM
- vs. Va. Tech

Notes: They've owned UM the past three years, but this team is different. They've lost five in a row, and Clemson is next. They get a bye week before UM. If the Canes should lose here... it would be absolutely shameful.

IMHO anything less than the Chik-Fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta would be a serious letdown. I mean my preference would be 1. BCS National Title Game in LA. 2. BCS Orange Bowl in Miami. 3. BCS Sugar Bowl in New Orleans(At Large BCS Team aka the 2nd ACC team because I feel either us or Clemson or Florida State gets this game we better win the Coastal which means we better beat those castrated turkeys). 4. Chik Fil A Peach Bowl in Atlanta. 5. I wont be happy with but will settle for Russell Athletic Bowl in Orlando. the rest of the bowls would truly be pissin wind scenarios.

Golden had interviews with Joe this morning and just got off with Cowherd about ten minutes ago.

Didn't say much except for the sanctions stuff with Cowherd..

Mentioned Morris ankle looks the best it has in a month after a game. Hopefully that is true.

Also discussed the NCAA announcement became a distraction along with the talk of FSU week.

Well deserved for Perryman. From the first time he put on a Canes uniform, you could see the potential. Perryman is the best LB in the ACC, and should be a sure fire ACC first teamer, even though other ACC LBs get all the hype. Its great to see the Canes put a LB on that finalist list.

So what are the commentators that make fun at THE U being #7 going to say when we beat the lil noles? let me take a guess...

Excuse 1. The noles played down to their opponents and beat themselves.

Excuse 2. The refs had some real questionable calls and missed a few calls that screwed fswhoos drives.

Excuse 3. The U paid off the officials, the fswhoo players, and everyone else in order to get the W and they should be given the Death penalty.

F*** everyone and anyone who doesn't stand by the U goddammitt!!!

WR R. Scott? Is he going to play Saturday?

I've been disappointed in Porter, who had a great start and a terrific game against Florida. he's never made it this long into the season without an injury, so maybe he is worn down.

Not getting any meaningful push on pass plays.

Maybe slowed with minor injuries??

Pretty good article on how to twerk the gas pump. Good tips for you road warriors headed to Tallahassee this weekend:

TIPS ON SAVING GAS.

March 20, 2011 at 5:38pm

TIPS ON PUMPING GAS (SOME PEOPLE WERE
SENDING THIS IN EMAIL I FIGURED IT WOULD BE MORE EFFECTIVE ON HERE. REPOST ON YOUR PROFRILE AS A NOTE):

I don't know what you guys are paying for
gasoline.... but here in California we are paying up to $3.75 to $4.10 per
gallon. My line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are
some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon:

Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose, CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the
pipeline.. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of

16,800,000 gallons.

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying
in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon.

In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode If you look you will see that the trigger has
three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. You should be pumping on low mode, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL. The reason for this is the more gas you have in
your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof.

This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up;
most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered,
and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.

CGNC

Canerock - that is cool! I need to get gas in the a.m.

Ohio_Cane

I've read before that early morning pumping has no bearing on anything since the tanks are buried underground and the tanks stay at basically the same temp at night and during the day.
