The current head coach of the Miami Hurricanes faces his first MUST win game. Al Golden must find a way to beat Virginia Tech to have the possibility of reaching the ACC title game for the first time since UM joined the ACC.

Failure, or losing, to most Miami Hurricane fans is simply not an option today at home as it was last week on the road against highly ranked FSU.

The Miami Hurricanes under head coach Al Golden MUST win this game.

Anything less would be totally unacceptable.

I don't know how it failed to sink in, but OMG -- UM hasn't beaten VT since 2008! This game isn't a 'must win' for getting to the ACCCG; it's 'must win' to salvage some sense of pride.

We have a solid group. We should be in the game with a chance to win.

Stephen is the key. Here are his numbers from last year. Cmp: 13 Att: 28 Yds: 170 Cmp%: 46.4 Lng: 30 TD: 2 Int: 0 Rat: 121.0. Typical SM17 numbers, (bad.) Need him to be big-time tonight and finish strong for the season.

This game means a good ranking and putting a cherry on top of the season. We should beat UVA, Duke and Pitt. We will get hammered again by FSU in the ACC CG if we get there. A 2 loss season, a return to bowling and a top 5 recruiting class would be major progress for us. We need to have an elite recruiting class year in and out from now on and we will get back eventually. The D will almost always be soft under D'Onofrio. Hopefully he gets better too.

Saw a little high school football last night, and the major college recruiters and coaches were out in force. Need to protect our turf. With Muschamp on the ropes, we should try to flip some of their recruits. I am hearing we have a legitimate shot at Cooke.

Good day guys, back from the field. We advance to conference title, winner to SB. We were sharp and crisp. The other team was a good team, but we had to much run offense. We rolled 28-0 rushed for close to 200 yards, D was awesome. They tried to run and pass, but we were too strong up front. I pretty much ran the ball and played the 46, 4/3 with man all over. Nice win nobody hurt, no turnovers, no penalties.....great day for my kids.

One of their subs dropped a n bomb on my backup QB....he's a non nonsense kid and I saw him get up real quick....I thought oh hell.....he leaned in and said something.....they flagged the other guy....I asked my QB what did you say....he said nice play buddy. He said "I could have kicked him coach, or said look at the scoreboard.....but that's' not what you teach us, so I just said nice play buddy." Now to me, that's coaching discipline, teaching a kid how to go through life as a winner. We whipped them 28-0, and never had to say a word. I think 2 of their guys got...well...shook up. My boys don't play nice....clean and hard the whole game. I ran my 2nd O most of 2nd half....get them some reps and everybody was happy. Wom going to the title game.....that may be my last game at this school. Like I said, I am maybe taking a year off.....or I may go to this other program....once champs, they had an association scandal and people stole a lot of money, then they redrew the school lines and the program almost went under. They won 2 games this year but have a storied history. Maybe old Coach Tom should go over there and help rebuild. I would like to do it just to help those kids have some pride, good kids. We will see.

it worked like a machine today. We came out lined up and pretty much blew them off the ball. Went well...I like no penalties no TOs. Did not like the guys racist BS, but hey when you getting your AZZ kicked I guess losers resort to name calling. My kids dealt with it like I ask; they are so good at so many aspects of this game. They make me look good; I just take them to the water.....they drink often and deeply. Great bunch.

Now how about a UM win guys Go Canes!!!!!!
