The Pimp once again has the defending ACC champs playing the type of game they can win, my expectations are raised.

While I agree that Pimp is exceeding expectations this year, the ACC is down as a conference. Put Iowa St, Michigan St/OSU, Arizona in the ACC there is a good chance they run the table. UNC being a traditional power would be a big win, bottom line is it would be a road win vs an unranked opponent. ACC get 5 in this year, 6 if lucky. It'll be tough for the canes to make that cut.

Next year though, watch out!

antcane

Ditto ogv. Brown can't foul out.

antcane

He should punch his azz in the tunnel

LOL! He playing for Larranaga next year too??

Swoope is playing the game of his life tonight.

Now back to your regularly scheduled hand wringing over where Alverage Slogan and his career 49-49 record will be next season dressed like a mope.

Ohio_Cane

Swoope ate his wheaties today

Must hit free throws.

raizecane

Good win by the Canes over UNC…...

raizecane

UM = 63 UNC = 57

Hey, WHAT WAS THAT? Did I actually just have FUN watching a UM sporting event again?

GO CANES!!!

BEERicane

Solid win. Bad job of protecting the ball down the stretch, too many TOs (though the over and back and that travel call on swoope were horrible calls) the U will win another ACC title in BBall before it even sniffs one in football. The U is a basketball school, not a football school.

Coach L was named ACC and National Coach of the Year for a reason.

Impressive!

"I expect the basketball team to upset UNC today.

My expectations have been raised (not raized, though) after their last loss and UNC is as bipolar as a name brand there is this year.

No, I never get tired of always being proved right. Thanks for asking though.

Well, for the first time since October, it really is great to be a Miami Hurricane!

Jekiri was a warrior tonight. Rion Brown had it going, Lecomette played his best all around game of his short career but still has some room to improve, Reed didn't have it tonight but Swoope made up for it, Kirk brought it in the first half until foul trouble cut him off in the second. Thought Adams played well except at the charity stripe or this could have been a blowout all night long for UM, in fact the entire team tried to match UNC miss for miss there which kept them hanging around in the Dean Dome, but let's face it, beating UNC in basketball never gets old and the defending ACC champs aren't going to just throw in the towel right out of the gate due to some tough breaks their first two games!

Also, the fact that career man-to-man successful elsewhere coach The Pimp decided TO FIT HIS COACHING STRATEGY TO THE PLAYERS HE HAD ON HAND AND THEIR STRENGTHS by going 2-3 match up zone this year in a rebuilding year just to try and squeeze as many wins as he can out instead of pointing to some 300 page binder to nowhere and nothing while choking away any chance at a followup to the best season in school history is just icing on the cake being offered up by the willful ignorance infestation brigade that's showed up the last few months here. Keep spinning that 49-49 Alverage Slogan fat boy propaganda, it's getting funnier by the day as Pederast State University continues to interview candidates.

OGV, does Swoope look like He can make that Jimmy Graham transition to football? Kid has a football body to me...

If Shannon was still the coach? Definitely.

With Alverage Slogan, $neaky Pete's kid and company as the coaches? Definitely not.

The difference between the two that I see are Jimmy was very quick on his feet and had great change of direction ability to go with surprising ups. Swoope is more ground based, a little less mobile and more a bulldozer. He'd be better in a pro set where he's employed as a run blocker half the time rather than a pure pass catcher like Graham I think.

Swoope would help the football team out more than Blake Ayles did though I bet.

Jimmy Graham ‏@TheJimmyGraham 21m
My Miami boys battled tonight up at UNC and deserves that big win. Congrats. []_[]

OGV you have just been hired to find and evaluate the next football coaching staff at UM...We need 9 pimps.

When Manu learns how to finish his shots h's going to be very good. Kid is growing up fast.

Coach L is just a damned good coach. He maximizes his talent like noone can. Love watching him work with the kids.

Next year could be another special year after this group gets some seasoning this year, This team could surprisingly make it to the NIT.

Since then, though, a Philadelphia NBC affiliate station posted Tuesday night in a tweet that it had learned Penn State still considers Golden in play for its job.

South Florida sports talk shows were active Wednesday with Al Golden speculation. Sports radio host Marc Eisenberg of WMEN 640 AM began posting tweets Tuesday night about receiving a phone call from an unnamed source that Golden would be leaving for Penn State. Among his posts on Twitter, Eisenberg said Wednesday morning, “A little birdie told me that Al Golden MAY be leaving #Canes Friday for #PennState. I can not confirm nor deny that phone call.”

At about 6 p.m. Wednesday, Blue White Illustrated, an affiliate of rivals.com, reported “there will be an announcement [Thursday]” regarding the naming of Penn State’s next coach. The publication also said the next coach was on his way to Penn State, but did not name him.

Don't worry about those reports about Goldie. James Franklin has a home in Destin and The Herb sees him as the Nitty Kitty's next coach.

FOR THOSE YOUNGSTERS THIS AS A GREAT SKIT

"LOWERED EXPECTATIONS"

The world is upside down.

At Mediocre U we preach that it is OKAY to be OKAY!! No longer do you need to strive to be a 5 star recruit, you no longer have to "Maximumize" your talent. Here are M.U we believe LESS is MORE nad MORE is LESS. Sunlife=Less but it is really MORE then the OB. 500 years per game is More YPG then any Miami team ever but it is really LESS.
It is ok if you can't make the tackle as long as you "try hard" and we all know you can't Coach Effort!!! Actually we Can't Coadh that is why we are proud to be M.U Mediocre U. At M.U we believe that not only can you be Transgender but you can be Transsports. You play Tennis but you "feel" like you are a football player? Come on down we will let you start at Safety.
