Larry Blustein is widely recognized as the unquestioned expert on high school football recruiting in South Florida. The talented writer can be found at www.sfhighschoolsports.com and also at the Miami Herald commenting about and promoting local high school athletes at every level.
For decades Blustein has been considered as the "go to" guy when it comes to identifying talent in "The Bottom", a three county area in South Florida that includes the highly fertile recruiting grounds of the 305, 954 and 561 area codes of Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Recently, "Blu" as he is known locally, released his Top 100 rankings for the 2015 class. "We couldn't score runs last year," Morris said. "Every game goes to the ninth inning and it's a 2-1 game or something like that. It's a very tough thing. You'd like to see some offense. We've got some bigger, stronger guys and the balls are jumping off the bats. They're doing a great program, strength and conditioning and we've got to score more runs to take the pressure off."
Miami should also be bolstered by the return of a healthier David Thompson, who was one of the Hurricanes' offensive leaders last season as a freshman hitting .286 with a team-high .462 slugging percentage and 46 RBI. Thompson had off-season surgery but said this week he's feeling better and like his older teammates, he wants Miami back in Omaha.
"It's a spoken thing. I'd say it's unspoken too, but we've got one goal," Thompson said. "I definitely feel like this is the team that can get there."

Derek Jeter did have a great run.
His fingertips should memorialized in the Playa's Hall of Fame along with Warren Beatty, Leo DiCaprio, George Clooney, Jimi Hendrix, Gene Simmons, Clark Gable, Johnny Carson and so on.

From a player safety point, I'd love to se a rule change. Fewer plays = fewer injuries and these kids aren't paid (well, not supposed to be anyways.) Play clock starts at 35 right? So they have to wait 6 seconds. That's still pretty fast. I'd like to see it be around 10 seconds, but I may be in the minority. I do like to watch the hurry up teams like Oregon and Auburn though.

@DemetricDWarren: #Miami is offer #1 for 2015 Stud TE Bry'Kiethon Mouton (Acadiana HS, LA) @VarsityPreps @BoB_typelife @SouthRecruit1 #TheU
There's another TE offer. That's at least 5 I've counted

This staff has been the 1st to offer AT LEAST 8 guys already. That QB Tiano is a real nice prospect too. Coley can identify and attack talented kids before everyone else.
