Have we offered D'Anfernee McGriff?

CR.. according to Rivals, No. Seems like everyone else has though lol

Yeah, we have offered over 200 players but with limited ships we are fast filling up with the NR and 3 star guys. This 2015 class can not have a bunch of misses, if we are going to climb the ladder out of the mediocre tank.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts owner Jim Irsay faces four felony counts after being arrested late Sunday night on preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated.
Irsay was arrested in the northern Indianapolis suburb of Carmel, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. His bond was set at $22,500.
"During the course of the investigation, Irsay subsequently failed several roadside field sobriety tests," Carmel police Lt. Joe Bickel said in a release.
While searching Irsay's vehicle, "multiple prescription drugs were discovered in pill bottles. These Schedule IV prescription drugs were not associated with any prescription bottles found in the vehicle," according to police.
The Colts released a statement late Monday morning.
"We are gathering information at this time regarding last night's incident involving Jim Irsay," the statement said. "The team will issue additional statements when the facts are sorted and we are aware of the next steps to this process. Many fans have reached out to express their concern and we appreciate their support."
Irsay, who frequently interacts with fans on Twitter, wrote in an October tweet that, "I don't drink...haven't in over 15 years."

Florida receiver Andre Debose was thrown through a window during a fight in Gainesville on Saturday night that resulted in another man being arrested.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Debose and three others were eating when he and one of the other men, Victor Watkins, got into an argument and Watkins threw Debose into a window, which shattered. Another man, John Mark Honeycutt, reportedly became angry and ultimately fired a rifle toward Watkins' SUV and yard.
Honeycutt was arrested on an aggravated assault charge, but Debose and the others were interviewed and released.
Initial reports stated Debose had allegedly been the one who threw someone through a window, but that was the result of an error on the incident summary released to the media by the Gainesville Police Department, which apologized to Debose through its Facebook page for the error.
Debose was recently granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA after missing all of last season with a torn ACL. He also missed his freshman year in 2009 after having surgery on a hamstring injury.

Any particular reason we are stockpiling QB's when only one guy can play for at least 2yrs?

Whats going on guys haven't been on in a few days just got back from winning a big pre-season tournament with my u-13 boys team. It was amazing every game was hard fought and a battle couldn't be prouder of these kids. It's crazy how emotionally attached we get to these kids and the games.
As TSULLY said sux to not have the CANES in the tourney but we will be back stronger and better. Shout out to my fellow Colombian catalina perez who is the goalkeeper at UM and will be joining Colombia's national squad.
GO CANES!!!!

So Carmelo Anthony said...
"I'm willing to do whatever," Anthony said after practice Monday. "As long as it's gonna put me in a position to win, I'm willing to do whatever. I'm not sold or stuck on my play."
I bet he was thinking "do whatever...except pass the ball or take less money" haha

The NCAA-Killing Lawsuit Might Finally Be Here:
"Sports labor attorney Jeffrey Kessler has filed suit against the NCAA and five power conferences, alleging that capping player compensation at the cost of a scholarship is an antitrust violation. Unlike previous suits, this one does not seek damages. It wants to tear down the NCAA. "We're looking to change the system," Kessler said. "That's the main goal."

I wonder about that lawsuit O_C. I'm not a lawyer, but the NCAA doesn't seem fair to student athletes that make schools money. However I think the Maurice Clarrett lawsuit was similar except he sued the NFL. Can the NFL help the NCAA as to secure their gravy train?

Per ESPN, Bridgewater's Pro Day wasn't all that.
Posted by: CaneRock | March 17, 2014 at 03:41 PM
Call me crazy CR, but I don't see it in Teddy. He's skinny and he doesn't throw very hard. I think he's a fantastic CF QB, had a lot of success on bottom feeders and overhyped teams. I love Johnny Manziel's skill but in the NFL he's a walking "Doubtful" on the injury report.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | March 17, 2014 at 03:59 PM
I also doubt Johnny's maturity. Brady, Brees, Wilson, Manning all mature QBs. Rogers has his issues with leadership and likes to b!tch and moan to the press, but commands the offense. Even Eli Manning is a mature guy. Manziel has a little Matt Leinart in him, I question what's most important to him. You can't have that out of your QB. He has to be an extension of the coaching staff.

Funny, a year ago A LOT of folks were calling D Jax a project. Then he has a monster year and BOOM!!!
When Allen Hurns signed he was a "project" 3 star, P. Dorsett 3 star and so on, and so on....
Stars are just projections some come through and some don't. Let's not consider anything a "waste" and trust the coahing evalutions.

Posted by: SOUP | March 17, 2014 at 05:13 PM
Yes Stephanie Wagner and Clementina Riobueno were super cool, and Soup is correct I was trying to explain the game of baseball to Stephanie from Germany and Clementina from Venezuela. I promised the ladies that I would go and watch one of their tennis matches. Either when they play FSU on April 11th or since they are playing so well my guess is they will be in the national tournament again and I can either see them play either at home or crossing my fingers the national finals in Athens Georgia in late May. Oh yea and we all witnessed our Canes beat the Gators butt.

Wish I could have been there. Tennis is a great sport.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | March 17, 2014 at 06:30 PM
I'm just not in favor of beating a dead horse a million times over and I also believe that there is always hope and that it's possible that the natural talent deficit on the d side of the ball has had an impact. Now whether the defensive philosophy and the DC will improve remains to be seen, but there is a lot less room for error and major improvements need to be seen over the next year or two, or there will probably be major changes made in coaching personnel.
Very well stated Lurker; I agree. We all do get a little crazy....but I do not think it is hate; we all want to WIN....I think thats what teh game is about. However, with great reapect to your well worded post, I will try to be more respectful. Week put friend.

From our Good Friends @ ESPN-
1. Coastal Division coaches: Virginia coach Mike London is trying to reverse a 2-10 season, while his rival, Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer, is feeling some heat after winning eight games last season. Many Georgia Tech fans have grown weary of coach Paul Johnson, and Miami coach Al Golden knows that even a nine-win season doesn’t cut it in Coral Gables. The entire division yielded criticism last year for its mediocrity, but with a little luck -- and a few good quarterbacks -- that could change.
3. Miami defensive coordinator Mark D’Onofrio: His defense is looking for a pot of gold, but Miami fans can’t even find the rainbow. D’Onofrio has unofficially replaced former Virginia Tech offensive coordinator Bryan Stinespring as the coordinator fans love to hate. In eight conference games, Miami managed 12 sacks and ranked last in total defense, No. 12 in scoring defense and No. 13 in rushing defense. The Hurricanes were statistically worse in scoring defense and rushing defense in ACC play in 2013 and only had three more sacks than a year ago. Mark, “May the road rise up to meet you / May the wind always be at your back / May your defense find the quarterbacks / and remember how to get a sack.”

No need to crash on Debose, his boy Armstrong didn't do anything either. Two 5 star crash and burns.
Speaking on the baseball team, this has got to be a joke. Why they are still in the top 25 is beyond me. Morris and his micro ball have got to go. I've never seen a dam coach love to waste an out bunting like this dude does. I can understand, if you're in a pitchers duel and your are trying to scratch a run across but he's bunting runners over to third in the first inning and what does it say when you have Thompson bunting, as he did early in the season. The bullpen sucks and pitching was supposed to be somewhat of a strong suit.
I saw where they're already dumping on Calvin Hertalou and now it's on to those other 3 heroes we have coming in a DT, to rescue that position. You have to figure when you bring a Jucco in, it's going to take him a year to get use to the speed and quality of players, he will be going up against and then poof he's gone.
