THE D looked improved from last year, they seemed sure of themselves, I didn't see a lot hesitation regarding their assignments. At this point this I have nothing to complain about

Stanadrd Shriver

i've told u boys many times: Miami is transitioning to be a basketball centric school. After Larranaga is done here, it will be a foregone conclusion.

This year is the pivot point. Watch what L delivers by tourney time next year after another disappointing football season.

So.....In other words we are going to SUCK this year? Crow and Olsen are not the answer...

Bring in Kaaya!!!

We go 7-5 with Crow or Olsen....

I am not going to give you advice on specific stocks but two areas I would look at are: robotics and natural gas companies.

Google, that right THAT Google, just bought EIGHT robotics companies with all their cash they have just laying around.

http://www.roboticsbusinessreview.com/companies/category/top_50/list

http://robohub.org/tag/robot-stocks,social-aspect-stocks,industrial-robot-stocks/

http://www.dailyfinance.com/2011/10/28/3-robot-stocks-that-could-make-you-rich/

Natural gas is the energy of the NEAR future: clean, abundant and new applications are being developed now.

More on that later.

orange 'n green in the vein

Just when you think they can't ruin the uniforms anymore than they already did ten years ago, they find a way to make them worse with the 'smear' 'logo' on the shoulder and the dumb sweat stain lines becoming even more obnoxious.

Then the defense can barely hold it's own against a putrid vanilla offense in a no-contact the QB scrimmage, which is par for the course under these two idiots from Temple by way of the PSU showers.

Blake James, Butch Davis is interested in the job the second you fire the current butt-clown yucking it up with his college roommate all the way to the bank while stealing their next paycheck from the university. Get your speed dial warmed up.

You misspelled your name and now auto-fill is going to be a nightmare for you posting here but I agree with your general point, if The Pimp can deliver a national title that is.

Now I think he can eventually, but baby steps by that program is acceptable to me under any coach because of the, how shall we say, somewhat raggedy history of said sports program at UM?

Nat Gas is a good call, but I prefer the pipeline companies that simply carry it. Infrastructure is already in place. As demand goes up so does price as do pipeline profits without doing anything. They can just sit back and collect the cash. Hell, they can even jack the costs of carrying it without almost zero investment on their end.

I am a troll who flounced from here, talked mad shit about the owner of the blog and then took my ball from where I flounced to while pretended to begin posting here again for the first time to spread accusations of a personal nature against regular poster's here in between sniffing the twitter handle jocks of underage teenage boys.

But I make really brave stances about how much I don't like the NCAA and think racial slurs aren't OK in between violating Godwin's law in an attempt to supplicate Alverage Slogan so I can feel like I have a high horse to sit on when people make fun of his lame coaching career with his roommate from college still attached at the hip, or maybe 90 degrees toward the back, but attached nonetheless, so you're all the bad people, not me.

Be back around soon, got to go sniff more underage jocks on Twitter so I can be the fifth person on here to repost from one site to this one because that's what I'm here to do, in between pretending to be a new poster here when I'm anything but . . .

With Duke and Yearby out, its hard to tell how good we are. I think we need to give Kaaya a shot. I feel good about Tucker atFB.

Ohio_Cane

A couple things from watching highlights since I missed the scrimmage live.

1. Walter tucker is a MAN. Goes LOOKING for contact and I love that. Something I wish Gus did more.

2. Jamal Carter is just like tucker, only opposite sides of the ball. Looks to hit hard every time.

Ohio_Cane

I'm gonna DVR the whole game and watch it when it replays tomorrow and see what all the fuss is about

CaneRock

Ohio_Cane, I don't think I saw a LB that didn't lay the wood in those HLs...SHEEZ!

The Work 4-13-14

**Huge day for Miami yesterday with two public commitments in Scott Patchan and Dexter Williams and one commitment that will be announced in the summer. Patchan was not a surprise at all if you had been reading the site over the past couple of months. Miami thought it would happen even sooner than it did, but he wanted the whole family there with him to make it official.

**Miami views Williams as an absolutely elite talent with the ball in his hands and see him playing in a Percy Harvin/Tavon Austin type role. Interestingly, this could also help with Jacques Patrick because I am told the two are very close. In my opinion, the running back class will be done before Patrick ultimately makes a decision, but for now that is something to keep an eye on.

**I might sound like a broken record, but Miami is still in very good shape with JaQuan Johnson. I know that some Miami fans have worried about his “silence” recently, but the Canes really believe that he is close to pulling the trigger. I am very confident in this one.

**This class is about half way wrapped up. Although it might not have the star names right now, Miami believes that the ones they have locked in are an extremely solid foundation for the rest of the class. This is a little different from the past couple years where the staff was sending out a good amount of offers during the high school spring ball. I don’t expect many legitimate new offers to go out over the next couple months unless a kid really blows them away. They have set themselves up nicely, but just need to close on these elite kids. The focus is on these names for the most part:
Jaquan Johnson
Tim Irvin
Jordan Cronkrite
Devonaire Clarington
Tyrek Cole
Torrance Gibson
Brandon Wimbush
Jacques Patrick
Shawn Burgess-Becker
Calvin Ridley
Kahlil McKenzie
Marcus Lewis

**Miami continues to lose ground on Burgess-Becker and Ridley, especially Ridley.

**What has Brad Kaaya been doing to prepare for his upcoming chance at the starting quarterback spot? The last three days, Kaaya has been in Arizona working with his quarterback coach Rudy Carpenter. Why is this huge? Carpenter has developed a good relationship with James Coley over the past few months and the learning curve shouldn’t be as steep for him once he gets on campus. As I mentioned last week, Kaaya has been in possession of the playbook and Carpenter has been dissecting it with him. Some fans have expressed their concern about whether or not Kaaya will pick up the playbook quickly enough to make an impact, but I do not see that as an issue. The speed of the game will be an adjustment, but it is a major thing in my eyes that Kaaya won’t need to be cramming the entire playbook in a short amount of time.

This is going to be an extremely interesting recruiting cycle for Miami. The class could be done for the most part by summer's end. #Canes

There was a commitment today that will be announced at a later date. Just be happy, #Canes fans.

Dude on a Pale Horse

I'm really disappointed that Ryan Williams got hurt. It showed during the spring game we aren't ready at QB. So far as we know Ryan was playing better than Kevin so its easy to assume the O would have looked better with Williams at the helm. Positives I took from the highlights: (1) Big backs that are strong and physical. (2) Line on both sides look like they want to get after it this year. If the OL can be really good next year, like REALLY good, like as good as we've seen since Dorsey was under center, then when Duke gets back we can win games with him hitting the long runs more frequently. (3) Denzel will knock you out! I think he made the right choice coming back and will have a great year. I'm really worried if the QB play doesn't get better then we could be staring 7 wins in the face. If these QBs don't get better (which I'm optimistic they will) there's no way we beat FSU, no way we make the ACC CG. These QBs can't overcome No'D's days where he decides to let any scholarship QB rip his D apart. Love him or hate him, Morris could get hot and bail us out from time to time, especially his Jr. year.

Terrance Sullivan

Morris was very good his junior year his senior year not so much. He was beyond awful in North Carolina and Louisville games. The guy didnt win not one game for us this year and as much as peeps craps on the defense they beat Florida when they were at full strength and a top 15 team, overcame Morris crap and kept us in the game against North Carolina and the offensive line and Dallas Crawford won that game for us. Duke won the Wake Forest game for us. Love U The Dude but Stephen Morris pratically crapped the bed his senior season I know all the Morris lovers giving me the stink eye and upset.
