Commitment of DL Quentez Johnson to Miami was described by his HS coach as "very, very soft"

The only thing Alabama did last year that we didnt do was win 10 games or more they went 11-2 and we went 9-4. Alabama nor Miami won its Division,Conference, or Bowl Game and was embarrased in the bowl game. LOL Bammer is on a 2 game losing streak but let some recruits, and fans and media tell it they are unstoppable lol.

How anybody could be against the Showtime deal is beyond me. We're talking about a major network creating 12 to 13 30 minute episodes of Cane coverage, from practice to interviews with coaches and players, giving us MAJOR exposure ASIDE from Coley's program changing " TWEETING " yet everyone is against this? That's bout as bad as laughing @ the idea of a 40,000 seat stadium despite the fact UM is currently paying 5 mil year to have 20,000 people show up @ a stadium that's sits 70,000.

Pete Ariz on Trayone Gray (Today, 9:54am): Miami still not expecting him to qualify
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | May 01, 2014 at 01:58 PM
Very sad.
Posted by: Montreal-Cane | May 01, 2014 at 06:00 PM
4-real, when you post I hear the sound of a reptile sloshing through the muck.
Posted by: Lurker | May 01, 2014 at 06:10 PM
I am a realist, and while I think all people, athlete or not, should be treated the same regarding admissions, I feel for Gray. The kid has been in a very bad place for a long time. I would love to see him make it. I hope he can get some guidance, a mentor to get him going towards an opportunity to go to school first then play.
It is sad, and so common in our society. The education system is broken, and does not afford equality to all. This is due to race, location, class, etc. I don't want to make excuses for people, but these are not; they are facts. We must take an interest in the Trayones of our society. If we do not we are turning kids away, and turning them to a life that will end up bad in most cases.
I do not want to give it to people, but I do want to help as many kids as I can reach out and get it together!
Lurker thats directed at you friend. I meet, call, care about, and love my kids. I do not have to, I want to do so. My program is in this order Life Family School Football and success is the only option I give them. Instead on trying to insult me and what I do, and the many mentors on here who are teachers, coaches, mentors and parents, reach out and give of yourself to your community. You may find its a great feeling and you have the guts and talent to do it!!

VA - you called a nighttime meeting of peewee football players during the offseason to discuss current events?
Posted by: Lurker | April 29, 2014 at 09:54 PM
As long as I've known VAC to post here, all He ever talks about is those kids. And for you to minimize what He considers His calling, makes you a DOUCHE! YOU SHOULD APOLOGIZE!

Barry:
UM, trying to find an experienced transfer with size, hosted 6-8 power forward TaShawn Thomas on Wednesday, as ESPN first reported. Thomas would be a huge get if he picks UM.
He averaged 15.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.7 blocks last season and shot 59 percent from the field but just 59.5 percent from the line. Houston granted his release after a coaching change. He has one season of eligibility left.
He also plans to visit Oregon and Alabama.
UM is talented and deep at the wing positions but wants to add another big body, preferably one with college experience.
### UM will host Illinois on Dec. 2 in the ACC/Big 10 challenge. UM beat Illinois in the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

No apologies from me for a one sentence post. I didn't attack him at all. I just questioned something that seemed out of the ordinary, I never said anything about him personally.
I consider coaching kids extremely important, and it should be done by people that are mentally well balanced and not so sensitive that they fly off the handle into irrational rages. I think Ohio coaches, doesn't he? From his posts he sounds like someone I would want coaching my kids.

Settle down. It's a matter of opinion. You pasted my post. Where is the personal attack? Show me.
Posted by: Lurker | May 01, 2014 at 10:08 PM
Oh, so now it's a "matter of opinion"? We were discussing the punishment levied by the NBA on Donald Sterling, and VAC's post was NOT "out of the ordinary". What was "out of the ordinary", was your smart alecky response out of left field.
