Is it coincidence that I received this from a customer and later that day Jaquan commits? I THINK NOT!

NICE!

Manny Navarro ‏@Manny_Navarro 5m

Jaquan Johnson to me is basically another Lamarcus Joyner. His coach at Killian coached both and basically said as much #UM

Dude on a Pale Horse

I've been saying the last few weeks my friends. The storm is here. If you can't feel the wind by now... something's wrong with you. In 2014 we compete for a title. We compete for titles from now on.

Dude on a Pale Horse

Two blogs in one day 86, how are you feeling? Drink a glass of iced tea and put your feet up. Have Mrs. 86 make you your favorite snack.

Killian Cougars in the House!!! Soup where you at?

I've long said getting JJ to commit early would be gigantic and I'm sticking by that. I was worried when he had said he was examining all of his options that he would wait until after his season, to all star games, or worse, NSD.

BUT, that didn't happen and he committed in august. 5 1/2 months before NSD. The flood gates shall open, be it tomorrow or next month, but they shall open. Tyrek Cole will flip from FSU because of this, Tim Irvin will choose us because of this, I don't doubt Devante Peete commits because of this, and there will be others, especially during/after his season.

Dude on a Pale Horse

When we beat FSU EVERYONE will want on the bus and all the recruits will want to come to Miami.

Dude on a Pale Horse

O_C,

Hit me w/ your wish list now, and who you think we'll get.

OC...U forgot Ridley from Bama to UM?

Ohio_Cane

Ridley can't qualify at UM. He gone.

Now, his friend Burgess-Becker? He could, but will he leave his BFF? Doubtful, but possible

Dude on a Pale Horse

O_C,

Here's what I want to know... who's still on the table at

TE: ?
LB: ?
CB: ?

Dude on a Pale Horse

And DT: ? Sorry

Dude on a Pale Horse

The Dude's realistic wishlist:

TE: Clairington
LB: Coney
CB: Cole
DT: Gallimore

Ohio_Cane

I suppose I should clarify and say I have no inside info into Ridley's academics. However, any kid who is almost 20 years old as a senior, can NOT qualify at UM. IMO

Ohio_Cane

Dude, realistic or wish list?

Dude on a Pale Horse

Realistic in a way which addresses our remaining needs. Maybe a range like at best this guy... no worse than this guy.

Ohio_Cane

Remind me at 9 am tomorrow? Going to bed now

Dude on a Pale Horse

In my opinion remaining needs are:

Another very good TE.
Another very good LB.
An elite CB.
An elite DT or 2 very good DTs.

They good to ride!!

RCCF, I was gon say they could too, so it's all good for now lol. But man this bus is getting kinda crowded, we running out of elbow room dog!! I liked riding comfortable!

86Cane

WWIN...I regret to inform U that Mrs. 86 has declined her ride on da 12% bus as official photographer and bus behavior monitor (can U imagine?) so we have another seat on the bus.

She is still riding to the games but she wants to go limo-style with 8-9%ers UMike and RaizeCane. But before U guys get your hopes up there are some serious DEMANDS though!

That can wait for tomorrow...

WWIN

^^^^^^^^^^^^
Dammit! Did you explain to her how bad that limo sucks??

@KynonCodrington: #GoGators want Michael Irvin's nephew, Tim Irvin, to be the next Matt Elam. Can Florida land the #Canes legacy? http://t.co/5l4cl7RgAT

Not with another 4-8 season like last. I really dont see Florida winning more than 8 games this year!

Ohio_Cane

DJ, he's the most respected player (by other players AND coaches) in SFLA and everyone wants to be on his team

They will certainly have their work cut out. The games at Alabama and FSU look like sure losses, and LSU, South Carolina, Georgia and Missouri all look challenging. Throw in some random SEC churn like a possible Tennessee win, and the Gators have legitimate worries that they're going to have yet another coaching staff soon.

For Orgeron, there is a physical profile players need to meet, and it depends on the size of NFL players at the position.

“There’s a certain criteria for each position that we set,” he said. “Those were called profiles. I’ll give you an example. For quarterback, we would take the NFL average height, weight and speed and put it up on the board and see where we would want our college quarterbacks to be. Our height on a quarterback was 6-foot-3 1/2, 227 (pounds), his 40 speed was 4.89, his hand size was 9.5 1/8 (inches), and his arm length was 31 3/4. If we went out and were looking at a quarterback who was 5-foot-11, he probably didn’t fit into our profile.”

But the evaluation process includes more than just physical ability.

“Some of the critical factors we look for in a quarterback: Toughness, football IQ, awareness, his mechanics, his release, his footwork, his judgment, his touchdown/interception ratio, his intangibles,” Orgeron said. “Every time I recruited a quarterback, I wanted to know if he was as tough as (former New Orleans Saints quarterback) Bobby Hebert. He was my roommate in college, he was my teammate in high school.

“Every time I went out, I said, ‘Matt Lienart, does he have the intangibles of Bobby Hebert?’ My experiences being around great football players brought us a lot great quarterbacks at USC and at Miami. Every time we won a national championship, we had a great quarterback.”

So it's jumping from 23K to 31K? That's a freaking huge increase.

Now the stadium will only be 1/3 empty when we're not playing FSU.

UMike

HUGE HUGE pick up for the Canes. If we manage to win most out games and compete in the tough games, the 2015 and especially 2016 classes will be stacked. The DB picture is about to get a lot more clear. Cole will flip and Irvin will join and maybe a chance Davis flips, IF, there is even a spot for him then.

86Cane

The haters and trolls are still out there. U should see some of the stuff I deleted from the spam filter this AM. Some folks are even upset that Canespace is apparently a "homer" blog.

Uh, let's see, it's called "Canespace" and it is run "For the fans, By the fans", so yeah we are kinda partial to the Miami Hurricanes. Why that makes some people angry I have no idea?

Cane Since 1982

I come here for all NCAA football news and some NIA.

Ohio_Cane

Here's my realistic wish list of who I think/hope we finish this class out with:

TE: Devonaire Clarington (Can he qualify?)
LB: Tevon Coney
DB: Tyrek Cole, Carlton Davis
DT: Joseph Wicker and/or Neville Gallimore
OL: Bar Milo, Jalen Merrick
WR: Devante Peete
ATH: Shawn Burgess-Becker

That's off the top of my head.

Cane Since 1982

Hoyer will be the starter of Manziel

I think we get Ledbetter at DT.

And isn't Clarington at BTW now?

Jaquan is an EE, so Golden needs to get that Grant-in-aid agreement signed ASAP! Then he can speak publicly about him too!
