I forgot the Edge in that list..

But i agree on this Duke and Gore my two favorites of all time. Seeing duke run, cut, and stiff arm the shit outta his opponents is a thing of beauty!!! and that quote he had after yesterdays game in which he said something like "before we get into what i did great, lets talk about the oline, the wrs, the Qb and the coaches and what they did right" that = leader

SOUP

Tonight Hokies are hurting and Canes are celebrating. Not just a win, a great win.

There IT is right there.

I am actiually starting to think this is true? And he covered the center too!

Posted by: SOUP | October 24, 2014 at 10:25 AM

I think so to, SOUP. That 1st TD that Duke scored on, the SWING formation, just how I drew it up LMAO!

SOUP

nothing was better than Edge's 300 yard performance against UCLA.

Posted by: CaneRock | October 24, 2014 at 09:42 AM

AMEN!

SOUP

Canes beat VT CONVINCINGLY!

SOUP

My head hurts.

#OUCH

Go Canes

Mr McGahee's six TDs against VT on the OB.

CaneRock

LMAO! Did anybody see the exchange on that TO between Coley & Golden...

I guess Coley wanted to get in Kaaya's grill, and Al was trying to restrain em', and Coley gave Al that "305 Look" like..."If you don't get yo' @$$ from round me..."

Same thing happened in the Cincy game, and Coley was like..."I know He ain't just try me like that..."

LMAO!

> Led by Duke Johnson and Gus Edwards the Hurricanes ran for a season-high 364 yards against a Hokies run defense that ranked 29th nationally coming in (123.29). Last year, the Hokies held UM to 28 yards on 24 carries with Johnson hurt and lost for the season. Consider this: UM has run for 699 yards over its last eight quarters. The Canes had 800 total over their first six games.

CR, the announcers noticed and pointed it out. Was hilarious.

Looks like Mark reads Canespace O_C. I think Mark might have become... a Hater!!!

We cant revert back to the vanilla d against UNC. We got to create havoc in between the tackles.....we got the quickness to disrupt their passing game..get to the qb..for gawd sakes we cant let him stand back there for 7 seconds and throw the ball..

I think uncs d line is also smallesh like vts. So we should be able run the ball.

UMike

Coley was like "look homie... it was your conservative azz that got us in trouble early on... I got this big dawg".. Golden, in his Denzel training day voice looked and said "my n......" hahahahahahaha

YES! But I will say, the NG & DTs should've shifted 1 man over. It's an unbalanced line, the LG (#51) is really the Center. But who cares, I think DB2 ripped the ball away from the RB on that play.

mi@mic@ne

What about Otis Anderson? I think he was the first really good back that started all of this history of good backs.

Nick Linder is looking good for a true freshman. I just hope we call D like this from here on out. It still worries me because the history of stubbornness from this staff, they they will just resort back. When they let these kids loose they make plays.

mi@mic@ne

I forgot about Chucky Foreman...lol

Who sez we can't coach? LOL

CaneRock

miamicane...I was just gonna say before OJ Anderson, their was Chuck Foreman.

But if UM would've kept those kids home back in the day, we would've had a RB dynasty going back to the 60s. Elvis Peacock came outta Central...and there was another guy outta MNW named Hershey that went elsewhere.

mi@mic@ne

I remember Chuck Foreman playing for the Vikings when they had the front four...people eaters... Marshal, Eller ,Page, and Larsen...the best d line in the 70s ...wow ...bringing back those old memories..

mi@mic@ne

It was great to be a Dolphin fan in the 70s...the first taste of what it was to be a dynasty... then we go into the eighties ..the Canes and Danny boy Marino...no better sports city in america

Bossler!, that's the name. They say He was a pretty good RB in the 50s. Fran, was He the one that went to Coral Gables HS?

Lurker

Hershey?

The Dude

As far as best RB ever goes, its take your pick of about 5 guys. Its all a choice of style at this point. I like McGahee the most, didnt have the wiggle of the other guys, but man could he cut with incredible force in the open field. He was a load to bring down, couldn't arm tackle him and he'd light up a blitzer. Portis could block too. Duke isnt the blocker that Portis and McGahee were, I think Gore was a really good blocker too.

The Dude

And Edge could block also.

The Dude

Wow, we've had some wonderful RBs. And the future is bright with Yearby, Gus and Gray.

The Dude

Gore - Duke
Portis - Yearby
Najeh - Gus
McGahee - Gray

The Dude

Anyone notice how many more plays the safeties made? Up until last night I wasn't sure if they were contact players.

This was a huge play in a close game against FSU classic McGahee... i think of this play when i hear his name.

Frank Gore... I remember Gore coming in to supposedly do mop of work as a red shirt freshman...took the ball up the tackle and no one could catch him... im like who is this rb? lol

You said we was gon lose last night!

How negative is that!!!!

mi@mic@ne

We got to get used to our opponents underlining the game against the Canes....especially when we start to get to the next level...like last nite...we changed the way college football is played in the 80s..started the chest pumping etc.. so its part of the culture that we got bring our a game every week.

WWIN

I wonder who is making he calls on D to be more aggressive and to play Grace more etc? Wonder if its Golden or D'No. I cant tell you how happy I was to see a fast LB blow up a screen pass.

Posted by: UMike | October 24, 2014 at 09:16 AM

C'mon now, you know this is the same defense we've ran all season. Do we have to go over this again! Lol

Lol

Cola Cane

I saw CaneRock's post on when Coley was getting on Kaaya for that timeout, from what I saw BK was trying to get the ball hiked, and the REF was standing over the ball and clock was STILL running, so hence the TO. BK then went to the sidelines trying to tell Coley 'hey the ref was in the damn way', lol. That's what it looked like to me.

mi@mic@ne

I was puzzled when their qb was in the endzone and between the tackles ..he throws the ball away on the sidelines.. why wasnt that a safety? Freakin Cherry is a cheater.

Miami is finally getting somewhere. Virginia Tech is not.

Great win last night. I'll give it to the coaching staff. They were very prepared . Duke had a great game. The OL dominated . Brad didn't have a good dame Stat wise but had Dorsett looked for the ball that's 98 yards.

CaneRock

Posted by: Cola Cane | October 24, 2014 at 12:40 PM

Good catch, didn't notice the ref standing over the ball. Kaaya's usually pretty good with managing the play-clock.

CaneRock

WWIM...I don't see where Melo fits in this Triangle, do you?

UMike

The only place Melo fits is a game of 21

WELL, WELL, WELL...LOOKY HERE:

I really don't see how Golden can finish 5-1. No way this team wins @VT.
