Moderators, do something about this before He gets His lil' feelings hurt...

Not a peep from those fake fans. That's what haters do. Clam up when the team wins.

Nope. We been here and excited and loud!! D'no finally called a GOOD game. Well not finally, he did against duke too. But at any rate he obviously reads canespace and got the message from us haters!!

NY Trooper

I would honestly say, outside of a blocked PAT, that was as close to a perfectly played game as I have seen in a long time. Most importantly was securing the rock in ZERO turnovers and no mental mistakes with only TWO penalties the entire game (one late pass interference was extremely questionable). The vision and change of direction of our RB's was impressive. On defense I saw more players dominate, not just DP. Grace was a major contributor last night.

We can beat every team outside of FSU this way. We can beat FSU if we play this way AND BK and our receivers get on the same page and connect with some big plays. Va Tech's line was dominated last night but they have had some injuries. FSU's D-line is a different story. It was an enjoyable game to watch last night and I can't wait til next week. Keep the positive thoughts and Go Canes!

Go Canes

Guys like Carter, Grace, Burns and the rest may have been highly touted but at the end of the day they had no experience to speak of. That's why when you see the number of high star players we have being this or that, it didn't tell the whole story.

I said at the beginning of the season, each one of them replaced a player that wasn't as talented as they are, and that's proven to be true. But even now they still need more time to develop.

Still more bumps in the road to come, but I hope they become smaller and far less frequent. So far that seems to be the case.

We are primed for 2015 in all aspects of this program: building depth, increasing experience and most importantly, continuing to have better players replacing the ones who leave at most positions.

That's building a winner. In my opinion we are well on our way.

Lurker

Just as an FYI, the plane didn't fly last night because of weather, or it was too dark, or something.

I hope the bannerbois, or the brainless dolts that contributed, lose all their money and don't get a penny back.

If for some reason they pull this stunt for NC, then they'll definitely be outed as nothing but pure haters, attention whores, and not real fans.

Can you imagine disrespecting #KellyTough and cancer survivors like that.

Go Canes

What a colossal dumbass banner guy looks like today.

He's probably creating a whole new Facebook page of himself with Gator gear on and is planning on flying a plane over Gainesville next week.

Anything to get attention for himself.

BK really played a helluva game last night. The stats might not reflect it, but he did all the little things so well. Throwing the ball away when he had to, no int or sacks, converting 3rd down when he's about to get leveled. True Frosh... Kids a baller!!

Lurker

Unless you're the guy behind the banner, which you're not, CR I wasn't talking about you or anybody else on this site. Settle down. End of discussion.

CaneRock

Grace is just another example that SPEED KILLS!...BIGGER DON'T MEAN BETTER! Don't know if the staff is doing it already, but they need to diversify their prototypes. I saw somewhere, where Ole Miss has a 250+ NT that's causing havoc. Same with that Whitlock kid from WF last season.

Lurker

BK was large and in charge last night. Not gaudy statistics, but commanded like a field general.

Is it it too early to talk about Duke as a possible GOAT?

Also, LOVE Duke getting a few snaps and running the read option last night. I'd like to see that again!!!

CaneRock

Lurker...yeah, Kaaya showed Bernie-esque poise on those throws to Edwards & Duke. He threw the ball with a DLmen inches from His face both times.

UMike

I wonder who is making he calls on D to be more aggressive and to play Grace more etc? Wonder if its Golden or D'No. I cant tell you how happy I was to see a fast LB blow up a screen pass.

UMike

That pass to TD pass to Duke at the end of the half was brilliant. Duke didnt even have his head around yet and he put it on the money where he would be. Kid definitely has the goods.

Am I the only one that thinks maybe some other guys besides Coley need to get touches on returns?

1mg of Epi

Yup... Loved the DukeCat. Coaching on both sides of the ball seemed to be, dare I say... Good!

30CINCO

Ahhhh! That was pretty satisfying!

Good, convincing win in a tough environment.

Helmet stickers: Duke, Grace, the entire Oline and the pass by Kaaya to Duke off his back foot.

Lurker

Coley3 is a mental issue like a pitcher that is great, but loses his confidence and can't throw strikes.

I'm not badmouthing him at all. But he is in serious need of a sports psychologists to get his head on straight. They exist and that's what they're for. He looks completely lost and indecisive on returns. Unless it's a lingering injury that we don't know about, it's definetely an issue where he needs help.

I think his play on the field as he's gained more experience and trust from his coaches is what's dictating his playing time.

I just think he's overthinking things, trying to make a huge play every time he touches the ball. I understand that's a playmakers mentality, but he has to understand not every touch is going to the house and not get taken out of his game when it doesn't happen.

30CINCO

How bout that Wildcat? Liketededit, a lot!

Guys serious question here...

Im younger then most of you but i was lucky enough to see portis, najeh, gore, and mcgahee.

But I'm calling it now that DUKE WILLIAMS is the best one we've ever had!!!

Go Canes

I can't agree with that, but he is really special!

UMike

UpNorth.. I am not ready to go there just yet.

CaneRock

I wouldn't say anybody was the GOAT, just that they were all different...but I think Duke's running style is closer to Portis. In my mind, nothing was better than Edge's 300 yard performance against UCLA.

UMike

As far as RB instincts, Gore was truly special when healthy.

CaneRock

UMike...hell yeah, I'd say Gore was the most exciting RB to ever come through UM.

Go Canes

There's only one indisputable greatest talent we've ever had here at RB and that's Frank Gore. The guys having an NFL hall of fame career after blowing out both knees for goodness sake.

He was Duke on steroids. But unfortunately, we never got to see a full season of it because he was decimated by injuries here.

As far as best career, lots of qualified applicants.

UMike

Gore got playing time as a true freshman on a team with McGahee and Portis

Go Canes

You read my mind UMike. Yours posted as I was typing.

Thought this exact thing to myself last night. Something's up with him. Injury or mental? No idea, but there's something there.

UMike

Portis was a burner, and McGahee was a rare combo of size and speed. But as far as RB skills, vision, patience, explosiveness throw a hole etc Gore beats them all imo.. we were all robbed of seeing how great he could of been at UM.

If Gore didn't get hurt in 2002, we would've won that NC. Nothing against Payton, as He was serviceable, but He wasn't Gore.

CaneRock

Another guy I liked to watch, though I don't think He's on any of the UM career #s lists, was Leonard Conley...that was a quick lil' dude.

CaneRock

But it's crazy to think we had Gore,McGahee, & Portis sharing the same backfield. McGahee was a helluva FB when He had to play that role.

Couldn't watch the game, out of the country. I'm glad they won in a hostile environment but I'll reserved judgment until next week when they play UNC,until then Canes....stay hungry

Ohio_Cane

So happy for Grace. Kid went off last night with 4 tackles, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 sack.

Its great, to be....

Coley?...from what I've read, His shoulder is/was still bothering Him. But like I've said, He needs to master the route tree. He can run the long, developing routes, but it's the short & intermediate stuff He needs to work on.

Whose the fine looking couple pimping those canespace tees on a rainy day at Animal Kingdom?

My friends from Clermomt!

I was scared to death of Duke Johnson and he proved why tonight," said longtime Hokies defensive coordinator Bud Foster. "He's just a great football player."

This means alot to me !! Wow

I am actiually starting to think this is true? And he covered the center too!
