The Dolphin defense had not one but TWO pick six TD's today!

Tannehill had at least 10 passes batted down today which would of been the talking point if they didn't step on Jacksonville's neck! They need to fix that pronto!

Great team win!

Go Dolphins!

Dude on a Pale Horse

Steeler unis should have little stingers coming off their bums. Horrible unis.

WWIN

Well they are stinging da hell out of the Colts!!!!

WWIN

Best the Steelers have played all year! Get us some of those uniforms pronto!

Bumblebee Steelers want to know what the record is for points in a game. Lol, 72 by the way.

Dwayne Lawson...Lawson reminds me of Xavier Lee:

Dude on a Pale Horse

Has a Cane scored this week?

WWIN

I like watching the Steelers play, gives me a good perspective of what we're trying to do on defense.

Dude on a Pale Horse

Steelers blitz way more than us.

canesteeler

This is the best my Steelers have played all season.

Dude on a Pale Horse

Thats a pretty good comparison CR. I think Lawson has the strongest arm in HS. Kid can wing it, NFL arm strength. Kind of reminds me a little of Joe Flacco too.

canesteeler

They have to blitz because the secondary is not very good.

Dude on a Pale Horse

This is the best my Steelers have played all season.

I knew it was only a matter of time before we got a canesteeler sighting. My father-in-law is a HUGE Steelers fan. I'm sure he's loving the scoring and hating the last Colts drive.

Go Canes

@ByTimReynolds: The Miami Hurricanes haven't allowed a rushing TD in back-to-back weeks. Last time that happened? 2011.

Go Canes

@tomdangelo44: #FSU favored by 7 over Louisville. First time this season not a double digit favorite.

SOUP

Pitt better run out this clock or Luck will burn them.

WWIN

Soup, only we run out the clock in the 3rd qtr! Lol

CaneRock

Is it me, or does Andrew Luck favor Marino.

Lurker

Favor Marino? Uh, no. He looks like an Amish settler in a covered wagon.

Dude on a Pale Horse

If Steelers QB#7 isnt having the best day in NFL history, I'd have to wonder what is?

LOL! Right

John Brown with the GWing 75 yard TD catch for Arizona. For those who don't know, Brown came outta Homestead HS in 2008, and took a circuitous path to Pittsburg State, and now He's ballin' for Arizona...who woulda thought.

CaneRock

LMAO! @ Lurker, good one.

BigWindyCane1

If the Canes finish strong, the draft eligible Canes will see their draft stock rise and we may break that first-round drought we have had since 2009 might get broken. I think Chick could move up significantly if he continues to play the way he did against VT. Perhaps, Armbrister, Gunter, McDermott and Feliciano might make it into the fifth-sixth round. Pierre also has a shot at getting drafted.

Go Canes

Got to put Flowers up there as this year's guy who'd likely move way up the draft if he returned.

Great talent but still makes a lot of mental errors. Think he'd benefit greatly by another year of seasoning.

Go Canes

Think Feliciano has had a heck of a year. He dominated Thursday night.

He can be one of those guys who stays in the league a long time on toughness alone.

Dude on a Pale Horse

I think Feliciano should move to center in the NFL.

Go Canes

He's definitely today tough enough Dude. Takes a special breed to play that position.

IDK SOUP, with a helmet on, them boys kinda look alike.

AeroCane

Sarasota - the fins win was all defense; the O forgot to show up!
Regarding the steelers - my daughter said, dad, those uniforms are a total embarrassment! Lol

I think Feliciano is better at G, I think that's part of the reason we only threw the ball 15 times.

I think we've done a good job of keeping Kaaya's jersey pretty clean this season.

As its progressed we've shown if the game plan is to throw we can and if it's to run we can do that too.

Soup, your question about when was the last time we scored on special teams? I believe it was last year at unc.

My question that I've been asking is... Why don't we ever attempt to block a punt?

CaneRock

I think if we put Duke on KOR, we'd have a STs TD by now.

TonyCane

LMAO! It's hard to be a Colt, and not laugh at the uniform at the guy across from you. Damn those Steeler throwbacks are AWEFUL!

Because Corn Elder is too slow?

Or just because he will vs UNC?

LB

Update:

Getting to the ACC Title game got a little easier this weekend.

- We won.
- Pitt and UVA both lost.

But it's still going to be very difficult to get in, even by winning out. Here's why:

Winning out (including FSU):
- Duke must lose again. They are a top 25 team and their only loss is to us. Granted, they have five games remaining and all are conference games... but they look much better since we beat them.
- Ga. Tech must lose again. They have three conference games remaining, but the only seeming test left is vs. Clemson. Weird things happen with Clemson at the end of the year.

Should those chips fall, we're in. If, however, we lose another conference game (the most logical choice being FSU):

- Duke must lose twice. That looks like a very tall order.
- Ga. Tech must lose twice in conference. An even taller order.
- N. Carolina, Pitt, and UVA must lose again. This has a pretty good chance of happening, since the Heels and the Panthers play each other, UVA gets FSU and Va. Tech, Pitt plays Duke, and N. Carolina plays Duke.

So, who to root for in the next couple of weeks (save the obvious):

Week 10:
* Pitt over Duke (unlikely)
* UVA over Ga. Tech (unlikely)

Week 11:
* N.C. State over Ga. Tech (unlikely)
Syracuse over Duke (unlikely)
FSU over UVA (likely)

Week 12:
* Clemson over Ga. Tech (likely)
* Va. Tech over Duke (toss-up)
Pitt over N. Carolina (toss-up)

Week 13:
* N. Carolina over Duke (unlikely)
Syracuse over Pittsburgh (toss-up)

Week 14:
* Va. Tech over UVA (likely)
* Wake over Duke (unlikely)
N.C. State over N. Carolina (unlikely)

So winning out is a must if we want to even smell the ACC Title Game.

Dude on a Pale Horse

He's definitely today tough enough Dude. Takes a special breed to play that position.

Posted by: Go Canes | October 26, 2014 at 08:28 PM

Yeah, I mean you gotta be tough and wicked smart. Feliciano seems like he's got both things going for him. My Chargers could use a center. Dang, now I got my Chargers taking Duke, Perryman & Feliciano. Next I'll have them taking Dorsett, we could use him too.

Dude on a Pale Horse

I'll tell you who looks alike, Hunter Pence and Matthew McConaughy.

canesteeler

How high does Dorsett go in the draft? 3rd round?

Dude on a Pale Horse

Depends on team need. He will probably run the fastest 40 at the combine so there's a chance the Raiders will take him in the first round.

Terrance Sullivan

Dorsett is going no lower than 2nd round.

Go Canes

He doesn't even look like the same player he was a few years ago.

His technique, route running, concentration and hands are much better.

He's really matured and developed into a heck of a player.

He'll be a tough one to replace. His skill set is pretty unique on this team.

BigWindyCane1

There is speed and there is SPEED! Dorset looks faster this year than he was the first three years in Coral Gables. Dorset is an example of a player who benefited from U-Tough and the S&C under Golden and Swasey. Dorset was a S.Fla. 3-star recruit that has been developed.

Dorset might threaten Chris Johnson's all-time 40 record at the combine. If he does that, I agree with TSully that we are looking at a first or second rounder.

SOUP

So winning out is a must if we want to even smell the ACC Title Game.

Posted by: LB | October 26, 2014 at 09:46 PM

Nothing less is acceptable, correct?

SOUP

Dorset might threaten Chris Johnson's all-time 40 record at the combine.

Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | October 26, 2014 at 10:25 PM

He will BREAK it.

Go Canes

Nothing less is acceptable, correct?

Posted by: SOUP | October 26, 2014 at 10:30 PM

I'll take a 5-1 finish, a top 10 recruiting class and a preseason Top 20 ranking in 2015.

SOUP

Would U like a soft ice cream cone with that?

Go Canes

With sprinkles.

Dude on a Pale Horse

I think that's wildly optimistic, but I'll take it. I still can't trust Mark yet, too many bad examples of his ability.

I've been saying it for a while now, Dorsett & Perryman are the two guys we will really miss. We have no one committed with Dorsett's kind of speed. Only Coley is in his class. I'd like to see us get at least 1 guy every year that can run like that at WR.

Dude on a Pale Horse

We'll miss Perryman & Armbrister. Two All ACC caliber LBs aren't easy to replace. Denzel should be an All American when its all said and done. I know I haven't seen a better MLB than him this year. I think Grace is a stud already and Kirby is okay. After that there's some guys that need to step up and have great Springs. No one on the D can rest. One great game doesn't make us.

SOUP

One great game doesn't make us.

Posted by: The Dude | October 26, 2014 at 11:01 PM

That's true, maybe we should just quit the season now while we are ahead?

jcane

BTW, Cinci defeated USF by 17 over the weekend. Granted, USF is no power, but the U toyed with a Cinci team that isn't FAMU either. This team shows glimmers, and lately has had several VERY good games. Unfortunately the earlier season poor showings makes every game practically a must win, although a good performance with a loss vs. FSU probably wouldn't upset the masses like losing any other game. The bottom line is that this team can't afford to lose games with poor showings (ie looking completely manhandled on D).

I don't care about how the ACC season finishes. I just want to see the U win out and actually finish this season going uphill instead of downhill like last year. It's all about hope for the future.

SOUP

Or maybe, just MAYBE, we could win two great games in a row? No, of course that could NEVER happen, right?

jcane

Hadn't been to CS in a few weeks, so needed my fix...and have to relay congrats to Soup for making a sale. I hope it all keeps picking up for you.

Go Canes

A 5-1 finish absolutely attainable with three of four remaining games At home.

We beat UVA, who granted is playing much better this season, and Pitt handily last year. We have UNC at home with 10 days to rest, get healthier and prepare.

Nov 1 UNC
Nov 15 FSU
Nov 22 @UVA
Nov 29 PITT

Don't see that prediction as wildly optimistic.

raizecane

FYI - I have an extra ticket for the UNC game if anyone is interested. No Charge.....

SOUP

Raize...I'll check with my brother in Kendall.

SJMPARMAN

I have a feeling that we win out. NC is allowing over 200 yards a game on the ground and over 300 yards a game through the air. FSU is 48th ranked defense against the run and 62nd in passing yards allowed. They don't have the killer running back like last year. They rank 101st in rushing offense. Statistically, our strength is pass defense, 9th in passing yards allowed. So I give us a decent shot at home if the fans show up and get loud. UVA has two killer games before us GT and then FSU. They could be bloodied and sitting on a 4-6 record at that point. Plus Mike London is on his way out. Everyone knows it. Just a matter of timing. Pitt is a good team but we get them at home this year and I think we take it.

raizecane

Raize...I'll check with my brother in Kendall.

SJMPARMAN

5 and 1/2 percent but yeah. I think this is very doable. I just ain't skeered of FS Who this year. Somebody is going to beat them. They have been on the edge of losing all year. Why not to us? The other games I am more confident about of course.

WWIN

We WILL beat fsu! Vault it!!!!

They are overrated just cuz they won it last year

Dude on a Pale Horse

Dude on a Pale Horse

If we play FSU like we played VT then watch out, FSU will be in for a surprise. Would be so nice to knock them off their tower. That'd be some real momentum. Cant look past UNC though.

Dude on a Pale Horse

Anyone know how to make a CS app?

Go Canes

FSU is just two plays from having two losses and neither are positive ones, just mistakes made by the other team.

Clemson had 1st and goal at the one and snapped the ball 15 yds over the QBs head. A clean snap and FSU never gets to OT. And of course the very questionable pass interference against the Irish.

They can be beat.

When the score was tied with around a minute left, Clemson had the ball and would of had a easy FG for the win but their RB fumbles the ball. FSU has dodge a lot of bullets this year. Hope we smack them in the mouth!!!
