Stanford might have no allowed it?

Ohio_Cane

not* allowed it

CaneRock

Y'know, a kid that played ball at my kids HS, told me that Shaw was an "a-hole", Gibbons must've found that out REAL QUICK!

Go Canes

That sucks, big time.

Thankfully we haven't missed a beat with young Linder or I'd really start worrying.

Next man up needs to perform. My guess is Darling as well.

Lurker

Did somebody say we were recruiting too many OL's? I read someone actually mention that.

This is why.

Offensive linemen, as a unit, get more injuries than any other positions because of the physics of how they play. Easy to figure out.

thirstybuzzardcane

That's what she said?

Wait, that's not right....

Now that's funny!!!!!

WWIN

I am also a bit superstitious and it seems like anytime we mess with the helmet things go wrong on the field. i.e. VT last year, Russell Athletic bowl, UL this year, GT.....

Yeah but what about all the loses that the classic helmets have provided over the last 12yrs tho? Lol

ACC Upset Watch: Week 10

North Carolina (4-4, 2-2) at Miami (5-3, 2-2), 12:30 p.m., ESPN3. Line: Miami by 17. The line in this game seems a bit high considering the Tar Heels are on a bit of a roll after two straight wins. There is no doubt Miami presents many more challenges to a struggling UNC defense -- both from Duke Johnson and its speedy receivers. But the North Carolina offense presents more challenges than Virginia Tech did. Marquise Williams and Mack Hollins are playing at a high level and will force Miami to have a different defensive plan this weekend.

http://espn.go.com/blog/acc/post/_/id/76376/acc-upset-watch-week-10-3

That was then this is now

We'll see if what DENO thinks is, that everyone is starting to grasp the defense and where they are supposed to be is true this coming weekend. UNC's offense is no joke and might be better than FSU's.
Dorsett will be probably a third rounder. Has first rounder speed but disappears to much during games. he should be a guy like Greene from FSU that catches about 5 to 6 balls a game and is a game changer every time he touches the ball. He has moments sort of like Coley this year. With these 2 guys we should be lighting up the score board.

point taken...or for that matter the last thirty or so years.

WWIN

KY, I'm looking for anything to get this last 12yrs taste out of our mouths, I'm not concerned about before then. Lol

Also I liked the uniforms against Louisville and ga tech, I like the all green too. They were bad @$$! I don't like the results tho lol

Sports radio in Nashville is ripping Jimbo Fisher a new one!!

WWIN

Rock, good avatar! Lol

Yesterday you said y'all stayed by a mint field? In Nashville?

CaneRock

WWIM...yes.

And the quest to 5 straight ECFs...
5 STRAIGHT NBAFs...

CONTINUES TO!...NIGHT!...
The Le? era is OVA!

WWIN

You sure y'all was in Nashville? Lol

CaneRock

WWIM...isn't Vandy in Nashville? We stayed with a couple that my wife went to HS with, the husband works at Vandy...and He was telling me that Vandy was 30 minutes away from their house...

Rock, yes Vandy is definitely in Nashville but 30mins away can put you outside lol

Dude on a Pale Horse

I said we have too many OL committed. I don't think it will be 7 when ink hits paper in February. 7 is a pretty large number for OL, injuries or not. Especially when we lose what 3 OL at the end of this year?

CaneRock

WWIM...my wife just told me the name of the town was Nolansville..

CaneRock

FAMU fires Earl Holmes...wouldn't mind having Earl as a LB coach.

WWIN

Okay, I know where that is but I'm not too familiar with it

Lurker

No, I don't think seven is too many at all.

Now that we can agree on!

That was then this is now

We have enough O-Linemen, with only 2 graduating, that I can recall. We graduate 3 interior D-Linemen, now where's the love in that department. That's the side of the ball where Goldie needs to really turn his attention 2 and I'm not talking about just bodies, some real difference makers. If we can one day get that side stocked again, then we can start talking about being a national presence again.

UMZed1313

Shocking thought for sure we would go with the green helmets with the all green unis

Go Canes

@flasportsbuzz: Link: Heat notes: Deng, Granger look to recapture games; PGs, Bosh and more: UM's Golden, D'Onofrio address issues: http://t.co/IvP0zS1vob

Lurker

Not having enough DLinemen, is not a reason to not stockpile OLinemen. There are plenty of recruiting spots we have and can make for the Dline. The two are not mutually exclusive, or has not anyone noticed our OLine right now is basically patchwork.

Facts, people. Check current events. Or check how often OLinemen go down everywhere. We have an elite QB in the making - let's not get him killed.

Go Canes

Another misconception is the thought everyone you have on the roster can play.

If you have adequate numbers but feel some aren't ever going to be good enough, you have to get more, especially at that position.

CaneRock

Didn't McDermott & Gadbois get hurt in the same game (Duke)?

Go Canes

@ESPNStatsInfo: Top 4 teams in College Football Playoff rankings rank in top 6 in FPI, but No. 1 FPI team (Alabama) not among them http://t.co/0KncrC1DyU

Dude on a Pale Horse

There's only so many scholarships though so unless you want to start pulling them I don't think 7 will be the final number.

I believe his uncle is the miramar coach who went to coach at WVU.

@mattyports: Miramar High three-star OG Leeward Brown (6-3, 338) says he decommitted from Miami.

Second de-commitment in as many weeks. Oh well.

Dude on a Pale Horse

Who was the other triangle?

Dude on a Pale Horse

I thought Jaquan Johnson was supposed to be the flood gates opening? We've lost 4 since then?

Ohio_Cane

We stopped recruiting both decommits months before they left. Staff believes we'll be landing bigger fish.

Dude on a Pale Horse

Who was the other O_C? I'm not surprised about Brown as stated before 7 is a large number.

Go Canes

I agree with Ohio. Why would a player like that TE decommit from us, after seeing what Kaaya's doing to go to Wake.

That O lineman will be replaced soon enough too.
