I kinda like this Heat squad...everybody's playing, what they're supposed to be playing. Now don't get me wrong, Le? is the best player on the planet, but the games where you saw offensive synergy, the type that you saw with the Spurs night in & night out, were few & far in between when LeYawn Blame played in Miami.

On good nights we literally play ball for hours and crack jokes on each other lol... we got bad nights also, but there all good kids in bad situations, but so far Ive got to bond with them all in one way or another, even if just through crakin jokes about how ugly we are lol

I kind of line this Heat team too. They can play more traditionally now. Don't get me wrong we'll miss James, but if Granger and Deng can be the players the are capable of being we'll be fine. Need Wade to play like he's six years younger.

This one kid was quiet and some staff just couldn't get to him, come to find out all I had to do was crack a joke on him and we been friends since lol.. I call him "big ugly", and when he call me ugly I just say "I know im ugly, buy my lady fine".. so he always goes "man thats my lady" haha.. kids a trip...16 and his mom just gave him to the staff basically, she had her first kid at 12..like I said most are good kids just in bad situations. But I try to keep them busy and entertained and talk to them when I can and help make it easier for them and maybe for a minute they forget their in a group home.

I was at the game last night. With a one game sample size to reference I'd say DWade looked really old, Bosh looked really agressive and Mario looked really Mario.
I think we will win 48-50 games this year, mostly using the formula from last night. Play even with most teams then use our experience at winning to pull out a bunch of them late.

@Bischoff_Scott: Take a peek at Miami RB Duke Johnson here at the 4:39 mark. http://t.co/KNULSV4ntx
@Bischoff_Scott: Re: Duke Johnson. He has the following elite/rare traits. Changing direction, cutting ability, elusiveness, explosiveness, short area quicks
@Bischoff_Scott: Johnson can get to top speed instantly, and he can also change direction without slowing down. He has great vision for a small back.

TBT:
Miami Piles It On Houston
Hurricane Defense Stifles Qb Klingler
September 13, 1991|By Ed Sherman, Chicago Tribune.
MIAMI — College football`s bullies, Houston, strayed into the wrong neighborhood Thursday.
Houston discovered that Miami isn`t Eastern Washington or Louisiana Tech, teams it made a reputation on by running up the scores. And America discovered that the Cougars aren`t ready for prime time.
The No. 2 Hurricanes blitzed to a 40-10 victory over No. 10 Houston, which learned what it`s like to be on the other side of a rout. Throughout the country, coaches who loathe coach John Jenkins` pile-it-on tactics had to delight in watching him twist for a change.
Nobody hurt more than Houston`s David Klingler. The quarterback saw his Heisman Trophy chances take a severe jolt, as Miami had him running for cover. Klingler has run up his stats against also-rans (1,798 yards and 27 touchdowns in his last three games). But if you can`t do it against the best, you probably don`t deserve to be called the best. Or at least the thinking goes.
Miami led 30-3 at halftime, and what was supposed to be a dream matchup turned out to be a fraud. The real thing probably will occur Oct. 12 when Penn State visits Miami.
Miami almost was Houston`s best offense in the first half. The Hurricanes picked up 74 yards in penalties, while the Cougars gained only 76 yards of total offense.
Houston`s run-and-shoot offense became run-and-duck for Klingler. The Cougars have only one returning starter on their offensive line.
The Hurricanes constantly was in Klingler`s face, as he barely had time to look downfield. Consequently, a downfield pass became a rarity for Houston. The supposed greatest quarterback in college football had to resort to attempting embarrassing short shovel passes to try to keep the Hurricanes off- balance. It didn`t work.
In the first half, Klingler completed 12 of 25 passes for 71 yards. Wishbone numbers, not run-and-shoot.
If anyone looked like a Heisman player Thursday, it was Miami quarterback Gino Torretta. However, he had an edge over Klingler in that he got to face Houston`s defense. The Cougars ranked 103rd out of 106 Division I teams in total defense last year. Despite returning nine of 11 starters, Houston obviously still has a long way to go.
Jenkins likes to gamble on defense, too, and the Hurricanes broke him easily. Torretta picked up blitz after blitz, leaving the Cougars cornerbacks constantly exposed in one-on-one situations. Miami exploited the mismatches to the fullest, as Torretta threw for 263 yards and three touchdowns in the first half.
Before the game, Jenkins put a muzzle on his players because the talk was getting out of hand.
``This is not a World Wrestling Federation match,`` Jenkins said. ``This is going to be for real.``
Fantasy would have been better. At least in the WWF they keep the matches close.
The game got off to a relatively slow start. Miami punted on its first possession, and Houston followed suit. Houston did pick up a first down in its first series. Little did the Cougars know that it would be their only first down in the quarter.
Miami assumed control of the game in its second series. Torretta hit Lamar Thomas over the middle for 15 yards, and then Stephen McGuire ran 25 yards on a screen to the Houston 2. Fullback Martin Patton ran it in from there for the game`s first score.
Houston`s offense continued to sputter, as Klingler was sacked on the next series.
Torretta then went to work again. Reading the blitz, he hit Horace Copeland on one-on-one coverage for a 35-yard bomb. Three plays later, Torretta launched a rainbow from the two-yard line. Thomas, acting like a center-fielder, caught it for the touchdown.
Miami held Houston again on the next series. On first down, Miami defensive tackle Mark Caesar hit Klingler for a four-yard loss before the quarterback took his second step back from center.
Offensively, it was more of the same for Miami. As the second quarter began, Torretta found Kevin Williams behind the secondary, hitting him for a 33-yard touchdown pass.
Suddenly, Klingler was down 21-0 and looking very much like Eastern Washington. On Houston`s next series, Klingler threw three straight incomplete passes. He went seven in a row before hitting Fred Gilbert with a three-yard swing pass.
Houston finally showed some signs of offense midway through the second half. Klingler moved the Cougars downfield with series of short passes. Houston drove down to the Miami 7, but it stopped there. On third down, Klingler scrambled for his life before throwing the ball out of the endzone. Roman Anderson salvaged the drive with a 25-yard field goal.
But it didn`t take long for Miami to show Klingler how it should be done. Torretta hit Thomas on a fly pattern for 71 yards. It was the same old story. Houston blitzed, leaving Thomas isolated on cornerback Jerry Parks. The touchdown gave Miami a 28-3 lead.
Houston then hit its lowpoint on its next series. Not only did Miami swamp them again, but in punting from the endzone, Charles Langston saw the snap sail over his head for a safety. That sent the Hurricanes into the lockerroom with a 30-3 lead.

Ohio after eight games I think unless you're completely blind, the defense bashing is dead in the water.
There have been zero inexplicable performances and if you're still saying anything with "500 yards, career day" or any of the rest of that rhetoric, you just aren't watching the games.
Posted by: Go Canes | October 30, 2014 at 06:44 PM
I know one thing after 8 games my guys are 8-0 #1 playoff seed. There are 5 undefeated teams in the playoffs, but we scored most and allowed least. We averaged 32.5 per game...257/8....pretty good. Defensively we pitched 3 shutouts gave up 73 all year...9.125 per game 32.5 vs 9.125 pretty damn good.....I am pleased. We have to win 3 to get to the big one....we will see. everyone is gunning for us, but I feel like we will prevail. We play sound, aggressive, fast, quick, low, hard, highly aggressive Apocalypse Now Football. Speed, Strength, Power, Quick, Hostile, Mobile, Agile....FUNDAMENTAL FOOTBALL. We never talk or say a word, we confidently and quietly inside think the sum of our parts are the best....its in our hearts and minds, never in our mouth or on our lips.
This is our time once again. The winds are up, temps dropping....the autumn wind is a Raider!!!!
I do hope for some cold and snow as we are ready to win 6 in 8 years. If so, I retire a man who has done his very best to lead his guys....who get all the credit as they do the work...to success in Life Family School then Football.
We put some new stuff in, some of the very complex parts of the 46....and we are lining up in the Dallas Flex.
PS first game they know we love the run....and a little bird told me our opponent is prepping hard for the run.
We are coming out first 20 plays in Read option spread and Wishbone.....in a no huddle....just to F*@k with them.....I want 3 TDs right off the bat!!

I wouldn't go that far, there were a few questionable games, Louisville, Nebraska and GT, but improvement has followed and IF we beat UNC tomorrow CONVICINGLY, then u can lay claim to that statement. People just choose to believe what they want to believe if it fits their hate/love agenda. That goes for BOTH sides too.
