SJMPARMAN

Looks like fun was had by all. The initial fears that the game would be a melt down as a noon game never materialized but the Canes laid some serious smack down heat on the Heels in the first half.

SOUP

SJM...we rocked the life out of Sun Life!

Am I the only one who thinks kayaa's arm is fine. The 2nd td to Wolford was a bullet, bomb to Dorsett was right there. He is the best QB since Dorsey, He's only scratching the surface this year. Canes will win a lot of games with him a QB.

canesteelers

Two complete games in a row!

laquinton

Great great win. Rest up cause in two weeks Miami is taking down FSU

WWIN

Soup, you going soft, CONVINCINGLY? Is that all? We beat Duke CONVINCINGLY!

SOUP

WWIM...if you saw me in action today then U would know I ain't soft. I am a hard driving Canes fan who thinks Corn Elder is the bomb. If he played OFFENSE.

On defense, well not so much.

That is all.

Lurker

Kaaya's arm is fine, he just puts a lot of air under the ball in the longer throws, most times that's ok, because its a real easy catch and he's accurate. My only point is on longer throws in windy conditions, longer passes are less likely to hang if you whistle them with a little less arc, and some even great NFL QB's can't do that. I think his arm is pretty live, but I totally agree with Hassan that hitting the weights will help this offseason.

SOUP

The weather was PERFECT! We had such as good time at the game and the tailgate. Winning is FUN again!!!

NativeCane and his lovely wife Becky made a last minute decision to drive over this AM from Plant City near Tampa. She brought some tasty treats with her too.

Zilla and friends were there also.

WWIN

On defense, well not so much.

That is all.

You a HATER!!!!

Usagainsttheworld

Nicely done.

CaneRock

I think they're compensating for Kaaya's arm by the horizontal position of the ball. It seems to me, that most of His long throws, are either from the middle of the field, or from the near hash.

I was watching the 83 UM-NU game, and MAN! Kosar had a whip. I know defenses of those days weren't exactly geared to stop a pass heavy attack, but Kosar was SLINGIN' IT! Same thing with Kelly in His day.

Great Win, I feel really good about the Canes against FSU. It looks like they are finally coming together as a unit. This very well could be the upset we need, maybe.....just maybe.

A very nice and convincing win.

But 20 points is still 20 points.

Duke needs to lose. Now.

Dude on a Pale Horse

SOUP,

When we win I don't just skip over the articles, lol. Well done sir.

CaneRock

Now watch Ole Miss still stay in the top 10. As long as these top ranked SEC teams lose to each other, they can't lose.

Canezitis

You really complaining about 20 points when 14 of was in garbage time? 14 points to a very good offense? I'll take that all day. It was a great win and it was NEVER in doubt after that fumble recovery for a TD. In my Arnold voice" Stop whining!"

Sarasota 'cane

I thought Kelly was in better shape. I had no idea he was still dealing with so many issues!! That sucks!!!

Dude on a Pale Horse

F*ck cancer. Seriously.

Canezitis

Yup, brother has stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to liver. 45 y/o with 2 little girls. Life can be cruel. Be thankful for today as tomorrow is never promised. It shouldn't be as expensive as it is for treatment either. Big pharm sickens me.

The only score when the game was in doubt came on a single OFFENSIVE play. Until MIami had an extra 31 points in the bank, it didn't let UNC have nothin' on offense.

I'll probably have lots of bad things to say about D'Onofrio in the future, so I don't see any reason to go inventing problems with yesterday's performance.

Go Canes

Great time with everyone yesterday, good to finally put faces to a lot of the names. 86 it was good to see you again. Also, really appreciate Raize and KY for coming down to enjoy the game with me and my guys.

We're playing very good football right now but we have more work to do.

Lots of explosive plays against UNC but we're still not executing enough sustained drives. FSU is going to limit those huge plays, we need to control clock and limit possessions if we're going to take it.

Think we can do that, FSU has looked soft on D all season, so let's get ready for the big one!!!

Go Canes

This D hasn't given up a TD in a meaningful part of the game since about the first quarter of the Cincy game.

All, and I mean ALL, of Va Tech and UNC's yards came late in the fourth of their games during total garbage time.

If you're complaining about that, you haven't been watching the games.

canezilla

GOOD SEEING EVERYONE YESTERDAY. SORRY I COULDNT STAY LONGER I HAD BBQ DUTY FOR 15 PEOPLE LOL.. LETS HOPE FOR A 8 PM FSU GAME SO WE CAN PARTY ALLDAY!!!

NativeCane

Go Canes, great to meet you yesterday at the game!

Good article Tom, thanks for tickets, we had a wonderful time!

Great to meet Go Canes, and visit with Raize, Ky, Tim, Kenny, wonder woman, and others!

TSully, missed you Bro!

Glad you all had a great time and got to see the improvements in the team. The last 2 games we have shown a noticeable difference in talent skills athletic ability.....and fundamentals! My fav!
We have executed markedly better; hats off to AlPa and staff. Art K has that line moving hustling picking those feet up....even DnoPa has the D stepping up playing aggressive. I think BK is fine, hey if you can win by running with little passing so be it. TE is looking good. We will have to throw vs FSU no doubt, but if we cannot run we will lose. To win regularly you have to have a ground game, then mix the pass in. We saw FSU run for the first time this year with Cook....we have to stop them. If we can make them 1 dimensional, and punish Crablegs, we can win. I have no problem with going after Winston low hard clean fast....knockout works. You stop the run and punish him into submission you have a great chance to win.

dj moonbat

I wouldn't have believed it until recently, but I think Clive Walford may get drafted in the middle rounds. He actually looks like a pass-catching tight end now.

3 weeks ago I didn't think there was anything D'no could (or maybe would) do to even make me entertain the thought of him deserving to stay. I believe I was wrong! Pressures, mixing coverages, blitzes etc etc etc and this looks like a completely different team. Aside from the more aggressive style they're playing, I gotta say I'm really impressed with this new found ability to tackle! I think the aggressive mindset has em playing more comfortably. There was no bigger hater than me on this blog, but to complain about giving up 20 yesterday is kinda silly. That D played lights out against a very strong O. Also... THANK GOD D'no reads this blog so he was able to figure out was he was doing wrong! Go Canes... Just kidding. I'm quite sure D'no doesn't read this blog. Kehoe I'm not so sure about though lol.

I am not willing to completely eat my words about this staff until after FSU. They don't have to win, but if they come in with an attacking style, try to get to Winston, and avoid going back into their shell.. Then I will eat my words and bury the hatchet.

I think we can beat FSU in 2 weeks.

Yeppers dj, I shook his hand and slapped him on the back, just to make sure he was'nt a Soup induced hologram! LOL

Go Canes is a hard core Canes fan that lives for gameday, his faded old lucky Hurricane cap is older than some of the bloggers on here!

Exactly.

Good meeting you well Native. I usually come in on the turnpike side, which makes it hard to get to you guys. Will try going 27th Ave. again from now on so I can stop by and say hello.

This is a much better post-game quote than anything we'll get from Al Golden or any of the UM players:

“Offensively, there was never a situation where we felt like we were in any kind of rhythm whatsoever,” North Carolina coach Larry Fedora said. “They whipped us. That’s all I can say.”

@CanesWarningFS: Miami's all time leading rusher, Ottis Anderson, played 4 years and 43 games. Duke has played just 29 games and is 251 yards behind him.

Which is awesome and all, except that it'll just be that much harder to keep #8 around for another year if he's already Miami's leading rusher.

Oh, well. At least Yearby's good.

Soup love the pics and article. Glad U all had a great time and cheered our Canes on to a convincing victory over those Tar Heels of North Carolina. Much love to the Canespace FAM of Soup, KYCANE, RaizeCane, Native Cane, Kenny, Monica, Native Cane wife, Go Canes, Zilla, Lurker, etc. I missed U all and love U all. And that's it right there, we whipped em'.

I think they've simplified the defense, resulting in guys playing faster, with more confidence, and more importantly, more intensity.

86Cane

TSully...U ever notice how RaizeCane can't even put down his drink to take a photo? LOL
