The next head coach...the right head coach...can get this program back to a 10 win level by year two easily.
If Golden were to leave tomorrow and the right candidate came aboard, he would not find a team bereft of talent.
In fact, it would be far from it. And people like you and others with actual coaching experience (VACane) can speak to the fact that it is not being coached up. I say year two because many of the notable coaches achieved great success in year two as they took over programs that already had good talent waiting for them:
Pete Carroll, USC (Trojans 5-7 year before)
2001: 6-6
2002: 11-1
Bob Stoops, Oklahoma (Sooners 5-6 year before)
1999: 6-5
2000: 13-0 (NC)
Nick Saban, LSU (Tigers are 3-8 year before)
2000: 8-4
2001: 10-3
Nick Saban, Alabama (Tide is 6-7 year before)
2007: 6-6
2008: 12-2
Urban Meyer, Florida (Gators 7-5 year before)
2005: 9-3
2006: 13-1 (National Championship)
Granted other coaches like Harbaugh or Briles took longer than two years, but they inherited programs that were more bereft of talent.
That is NOT the case of Miami next year.
Coley aint leaving especially if golden is indeed staying.
I want a new DC at least that will slap al golden in the face lol

@ByTimReynolds: Ran into a Miami football player on campus this evening. "Twitter is dumb," he said, then asked if Miami can play Gators in bowl game.

With regards to Golden, they're just not going to saddle his remaining five years on a new President. He'll have next year, like it or not.

Can we make a deal...after Al is fired, this off-season (hope to God) or after another miserable failure of a season next, I won't post crap about Al if you don't post you're normal Al is great stuff.

Based on their bios I'm going to venture a guess they expend less than 1% of their time deciding whether or not they're on board with Golden.

opening presser, hugging Malcom as he broke his ankle, stepping up and not leaving for other jobs UCLA,Penn St, Tennessee (hhad interviews) the whole NCAA debacle. But his negatives out weigh those moments . Playing favorites, not getting better on special teams.. not coaching up either Tracy or Stacy.. not playing Chocolate on kickoff returns. Fattening up Chick,Denzel just go Al.. just go

You actually think he had a chance to leave for another job? LMAO
Only place he was leaving for was the bank after conning UM out of more money for that contract extension!
