There are many types of crab that you can catch, clean, cook and eat. If you love crab, but don't know much about them nor the difference of the various types, you'll find these pages interesting, also with some great tips and crab facts.
You can click in to each one to find more information about each type, view pictures and find where their respective habitat's are and crab season's.
Alaskan King Crab is properly named as it is the biggest crab in the world and the most dangerous crab to catch and probably the most favorable of all the other types of crab.
Alaskan Snow Crab is, too, very large, compared to Blue Crab and Dungeness, however, not as large as the King Crab.
Blue Crab are a high demand, new-found delicacy in the U.S. and are uniquely favored for good reason. Unlike the Red Rock or Dungeness crabs, the blue crab is also eaten in its soft shell state. Transporting these crabs and caring for them can be a challenge. We will help you in this challenge, if you are dealing with Live Crabs.
Dungeness Crab is probably the most abundant crab you will find in the western part of the states. Most abundant, and, second best only to King Crab! And need we mention they are the most sustainable fisheries?
Red Rock Crab are not as commercially sought after because of their thick and hard to break shell, as their cousins, the Dungeness Crab, are. However, they are good eating, but are a much smaller type of crab offering not as much meat.
Stone Crab are interesting creatures! They are very beautiful! And happen to be our featured crab logo! Only their claws are harvested.
The Chinese Mitten Crab are interesting creatures. These types of crab are known for their mitten-like, hairy claws. They could also be known as the "gangsta's of crab," in our opinion, with their bullying and aggressive habits. With all this aside, they are also a much prized delicacy.
We believe that no matter what type of crab you are inquiring about, whether you want to go out and catch the crabs on your own or just simply learn to cook with them, the best kind of crab are Live Crabs.

Duke and GT both won. We have to win out and pull for Clemson and VT next week to win the Coastal. The Canes do not control their own destiny.
I would like for the Canes to make it to Charlotte, but if the Canes can win out (inclufing s bowl win), this will be a successful, 10-win season for Golden and the Canes program, regardless of whether they win the Coastal. That will put the Canes in the top 10 or 15 and bring in some post season recognition for the players. It will also help boost recruiting.

This Date in Hurricanes History...November 8th, 1957...brought to you by the UM Sports Hall of Fame.
In the First Ever matchup in Tallahassee, the Miami Hurricanes defeated the FSU Seminoles 40-13 in front of a less than sold out crowd of 15,712 fans at Doak Campbell Stadium.
It was Miami's 5th consecutive victory over the former Florida State College for Women's football team!
Led by UMSHoF member QB Fran Curci, the Canes overcame a 7-6 Noles halftime lead and sprinted to the victory with the help of halfback Joe Plevel's 3 touchdowns.
Plevel proved a capable replacement for 1956 All American halfback and UMSHoF member Don Bosseler. Coach Andy Gustafson's squad also got touchdowns from Bill Sandie, Phil Geatz and Byron Blasko.
Curci would go on the garner First Team All American honors in 1959, as well as being named an Academic All American. He would return to Miami as an assistant coach, and was the Canes head coach in 1971 and 1972.

Sorry you had to work Soup! This has been one of the best college football Saturday's that I can remember when the canes DIDN'T play!!
Have you been "mining" the expired listings yet?? There's "gold" there buddy and you can "mine" it before the regular work day even begins!!
Posted by: Sarasota 'cane | November 08, 2014 at 09:32 PM
Sota...no, I am NOT doing expireds. I am primarily doing new home construction with buyers and then FSBOs and lakefront/golf course for listings. So far so good, but 10-12 hour days are common. Hopefully, not for long!
Posted by: 86Cane | November 08, 2014 at 09:58 PM
Sota...question for U: Would U work for a new home builder? If so, why, and if not, why not?
Posted by: 86Cane | November 08, 2014 at 10:00 PM
Yeah the 10-12 hour days will lead to 14-16 hour days when you start to "blow up"!! ;-)

Couldn't agree more. I've seen too much of his handiwork. The thing is, he does provide excellent information in between his trolls, but he spends much of his time insulting or condescending his own readers, especially canes fans, and not just the dumb ones.
Personally, I think it's a an insecurity issue about his obesity, or maybe he was bullied, so now he bullies others, or thinks he does.
Posted by: Lurker | November 08, 2014 at 10:06 PM
I can't answer that since I never tried it. I believe you make less per transaction but the builder usually pays for most of the marketing.
The downside is that the builder will usually require that you not take any business outside of the development.
You just have to bust out the calculator to see what makes more sense. Since you are new to the field I would guess that working for a builder would make more sense. Stay in touch with any customer you work with because most of them will be moving again in 5-7 years and you will have a leg up when they decide to pull the trigger.
Remember the 33 "touch" marketing system I told you about! It becomes residual income down the road just like an insurance salesman!!

The only time I believed in the "33 Touches" system of sales was when I was trying to get into another...OK, let's leave it at that, OK?
Posted by: 86Cane | November 08, 2014 at 10:48 PM
"33 touches" a year is excessive, but the concept is valid. As long as you are sincere and not trying to "sell" them something every time you make contact they will become your friends and will value your opinion.
You're going to be sooo good at this it's scary!
Posted by: Sarasota 'cane | November 08, 2014 at 10:56 PM
Another advantage of developing a relationship with your customers is that as you see movement trends in the market, you will be able shift your single family homeowners to part time investors if they trust you, as you can show them where they can make money in a fluid market.
This is likely not an option if you are working exclusively for a builder.
I should produce an infomercial!!!

FSU fans around me don't think it will be close and think the U will be easy prey. I so hope the last two games are indicative of real improvement and the U takes down FSU. All would be right with the world again!
Meanwhile, LSU is on the verge of knocking off LSU, kicking a field goal for a 3 pt. lead with just under a minute left. Crazy day.
Posted by: jcane | November 08, 2014 at 11:47 PM
Wow. Bama moves right up the field to tie things up with 3 seconds left at 13. Amazing how low-scoring games like this one have two scores in under a minute at the end.
Looks like Oh State is gonna take down Mich State.

LSU defense went to sleep?
Posted by: 86Cane | November 08, 2014 at 11:53 PM
Do you all realize that we get to see the Dolphins play twice before we watch the canes? By far my favorite sports week of the year!!! (Hopefully!)
Posted by: Sarasota 'cane | November 09, 2014 at 12:01 AM
Sometimes things just look too scripted in these games. Yep, Soup, LSU's d went to sleep, and Bama wins in OT. Kinda like Pitt's kicker (with the appropriate name of Chris Blewitt) missed the 26 yarder just before the end of the 4th vs. Duke to lead to Pitt losing last week.
Still, the U takes down FSU and I don't really give a rat's fanny what happened in the rest of college football or the ACC. I'm gonna predict a U win with FSU getting a last minute drive with a FG that goes wide....hmmm, how about right? Truth is, if the O can have good ball control with a good running game and some sprinkled in good and timely passing and avoid the turnover bug, the game could go the U's way. The DL of FSU ain't exactly their strength. Don't let FSU's O or "Crablegs" get any rhythm would I assume be the gameplan, with a touch of trickery and aiming for Dorsett here and there to keep the FSU D honest. Best week of college football coming up.
A U win, and most U fans who weren't convinced of this coaching staff likely will become convinced, while we all start jumping on the bandwagon for the future, including many recruits, most importantly. Please, please, please.....
'night all.

East Coast bias!
Posted by: Sarasota 'cane | November 09, 2014 at 01:20 AM
After watching a ton of college football yesterday, I continue to be amazed at how scoring has gotten completely out of control in today's game.
Top 25 teams giving up 30, 40 and even 50 all over the place is basically being met with a yawn. It's become a try to score every possession, survive and advance game.
Aside from that Bama-LSU game that had two really bad QBs in it, it seemed like every other big game ended with 80 plus points scored.
Posted by: Go Canes | November 09, 2014 at 06:55 AM
FSU looked very beatable again last night. They've become over reliant on one WR and look far less explosive offensively than last year.
Posted by: Go Canes | November 09, 2014 at 06:57 AM
Anyone know the extent of Dalvin Cook's injury? Seems to be a hip but no details.
I hope he's alright so the Canes can smash him but if he can't go I'm cool with that too. []_[]

But since half of the participants in the paper classes were not athletes, the NCAA can plausibly say that athletes got no special treatment.

#TCU is better than #Bama. Not sure the playoff committee can see through the bias, though.

@JoeGoodmanJr The entire SEC has been overvalued. It's a tough league but the ASU team I saw yesterday could play with those guys
Posted by: Go Canes | November 09, 2014 at 09:40 AM
I agree the entire SEC is overvalued. Their top 4 or 5 still might have 2-3 teams in the final four, deserved or not.
They're still the best conference, but other teams are closing the distance. I think their dominance is starting to erode.
