Yes we are aware and for me, I am glad Ohio State won and here is why..............
Yes, the Ducks have great uni's, wonderful shoes and state of the art facilities that was all paid for by Mr. Knight who has given at least 300 million dollars to the program. 300 Million can buy alot but I am glad it can't buy you a championship.
If recruits want to win, the really need to focus on something other than sexy uniforms and high end facilities. I mean if the Ducks cant win a championship with a Heisman winning QB and 4 turnovers by the other team, I cant see them ever winning the whole thing.

So that's what highly paid coaches with proven records get []_[].
86, you're not declining freedom of speech here, too, right? Lol
Posted by: 360Cane | January 13, 2015 at 08:20 AM
I meant to say, highly paid, proven, no excuses, head coach will get you.
Posted by: 360Cane | January 13, 2015 at 08:22 AM
In 2011 we beat OSU. Both finish 6-6 on the regular season. We’re 22-16 since. They’re 38-3. What a difference a head coach makes.
They just won a national championship and went undefeated in 2012.. and due to their own NCAA investigation and sanctions sat out the conference championship and bowl game.
COACHING MATTERS!!!!!

Raize.. I was thinking about that as well. I know we cant get a guy like Meyer, but we dont have to stand still either.

OSU young? Yes.
OSU have ncaa sanctions? Yes.
OSU injuries affect depth? Yes.
OSU excuse machine? Only exists with []_[].
This will be my last OSU comment cause I'm getting sick to my stomach.
Posted by: 360Cane | January 13, 2015 at 08:42 AM
Of course coaching matters.
We have a HC who needs the wind to blow a certain way...the game has to be played at a certain part of the day...social media has a greater influence on His team than He has...IOWs, EVERYTHING has to be PERFECT for em'.
While Urban Meyer says.."I gotta play with a 3rd string QB?...nooooooo problem...LET'S WIN ANYWAY!"

Crossing my fingers...hope this isn't the OSU that pissed CINCO off:
A year later? Duh -- half of the Buckeyes' starters are sophomore or freshmen. You don't send 19-year-olds onto the field to play 22-year-olds in a sport as physical as football.
"Long story short," Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones said, "we weren't supposed to be here."
A year later is now. The Buckeyes won the College Football Playoff on Monday night, smashing Oregon 42-20 with the combination of toughness and speed that has been the signature of Meyer's teams in a 13-year career that has produced three national champions.
That was a sophomore, Ohio State tailback Ezekiel Elliott, who rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns and won Offensive Player of the Game. But here's the stat that tells you the story of the game: Elliott had 36 carries and lost yards on just one.
That was a sophomore, safety Tyvis Powell, named Defensive Player of the Game, who led the Buckeyes with nine tackles. That was another sophomore, defensive end Joey Bosa, who spent the second half in the Oregon backfield and sent the Heisman Trophy winner, Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota, to the bench for a play in the fourth quarter.
