Dude on a Pale Horse

That can't be true LB. Blake is a tool but he can't possibly be that dumb. Can he? Lol. I'm speechless.

WWIN

^^^^^^ LB that is pretty sad on UM's part, the new president can't get here fast enough!

1mg of Epi

^^ Yup... Pathetic especially that second pic. Wasn't BJ quoted in the paper yesterday saying signs have always been banned in the BUC?

It's one thing to be bad at your job, it's another thing to be a liar. These morons need a PR agency.

Sweet. Gives me a reason to actually go to a movie theater. Never on release night though. When Dark Knight released I told my wife some one was going to get hurt. Sure enough Aurora. People who attend midnight releases are nuts.

They're going to keep us waiting on Bruce Wayne. Still the Penguin is pretty good.

WWIN

TCU and Baylor are better than OSU and they would have won it too!

WWIN

^^^^^ Who stood out to you Monday night besides Jones and Elliott???

What did Bosa do??? Anything that made you say we definitely need a player like that???

They lost to VA Tech remember, and when Miller and Barrett went down EVERYBODY wrote em off bcuz they didn't have anybody else. But since they beat a OVER rated bama and a weak ass Oregon team, now they're loaded? It was the COACHING!!!

raizecane

Nobody thought OSU was loaded with talent until they just won the ship! And they still don't, the only players that jump out at you was the QB Jones and the RB Elliott, that's it!

Posted by: WWIM | January 14, 2015 at 11:28 PM

****************************************************************************

Not true.....OSU was actually favored to win it all during Meyers first season there. And I dont know what team you have been watching, but they have some ballers on that team. I guess Miller and Barrett don't stand out....Bosa doesn't stand out, not sure of name but WR #9 led all schools with most 40+ yard catches....

WWIN

This. Half of OSU's starters are underclassmen.

They already wrapped filming on VII. It's in post-production now with a Dec 2015 release.

On a lark my wife and I watched The 100 on Netflix a couple of weeks ago. Surprisingly enjoyable series.

Has anyone seen The Ascension miniseries that aired a few weeks ago. The end of the first part had the mother of all plot twists.

I don't really care for rap either. The songs picked for Jamal are really good though. Love T. Howard. Dude is an underrated actor.

What's crazy is besides fsu no one who beat us had less 4/5 stars it's actually not even close

Posted by: Jsy | January 14, 2015 at 09:02 PM

It's also crazy just how far above Alabama and Ohio State are from most of college football, in terms of raw talent. They are not just dominating recruiting, they're hoarding talent.

Montreal-Cane

Pack the BUC next week vs NCST!

Dude on a Pale Horse

So even with the "cloud" Miami ranks 21 in numbers of 4 and 5 star guys. Hmm. 6-7, what a joke. I think his team tunes him out.

SinisterCane

We could have FSU stars total and Faildon would still lose Big. This list is worthless, 7 teams on that list with less stars have already beaten Faildon sorry ass like a FAMU drum

TonyCane | January 07, 2015 at 09:41 PM

I'd be curious to see how many of those 4 stars were part of the 17 redshirts we had.

We lose a lot in Duke, Clive and Denzel, but we're hopefully going to be deeper overall.

Posted by: Go Canes | January 07, 2015 at 10:07 PM

We had four 4-star players that redshirted:

Jelani Hamilton
Al-Quadin Muhammad
Demetrius Jackson
KC McDermott

SinisterCane

6-7 is the only stat that matters

TonyCane

Might be just draftable players WW. Not counting Sophs and Fresh.

One thing thing about Myer, he has been absolutely dominant in recruiting. He outrecruited everyone else in the entire country over the last four years, except for Nick Saban. Now the numbers would change if you factor out failures to qualify, transfers in and out, and early departures for the NFL, but overall you can see the clear advantage that Meyers enjoyed.

Coach L and staff can design a scheme and a process around the talent he has. Golden and staff of idiots have a static process; the talent he has on hand is meaningless. The talent either conforms to his cookie cutter process or they fail.

As a result Golden will fail too.

What do U expect from a CARPETBAGGER! SMH

Again, the bottom line is Miami, Florida will be OBSOLETE in major college football. As long as the Golden FARCE and Tonto D'Onofrio are hanging around Coral Gables.

In the mean time the men's hoops squad gets a ROAD win over a legitimate Top 5 team. Go figure.

TheeMackJones

At least Mr. Mann's cash donation was worth it and what not. Seeing that the men's basketball and baseball teams are proven winners.

Too bad the football program is in such bad times with Golden and D'Onofrio!

I'm not knocking Coach L. He is an awesome, awesome teacher and motivator. I agree 100% with the tweet I posted that he's the best coach at any level in any sport in S. Florida.

But in basketball one or two players completely change a team. In football you need 10 times that many BEFORE injures, which are far, far fewer in basketball.

And as far as the cloud goes, it's completely different. Inarguably the best four players Coach L has had since he's been here are Kadji, Larkin, McLellan and Rodriguez. That's far from patchwork. The last two got here after it's over and the first two were after the focus had turned to the coaches that were here. The football mess was much more sensationalized and affected overall recruiting much more.

Posted by: Go,GoCanes! | January 14, 2015 at 09:03 AM

Voila

And Coach L was a PROVEN winner at some OBSCURE college hoops program prior to his arrival in Coral Gables.

And it's easy to see that you DON'T KNOW crap about major college basketball!

Because it's difficult to coach 29+ games a season. Plus x-number of games in a conference tournament. ESPECIALLY in a rugged conference such as the ACC!!!!!!!!!

But then again, I absolutely FORGIVE you because your nothing but a Golden APOLOGIST, LACKEY or ADVOCATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TheeMackJones

Let's see in a SHORT span of time Coach L has coached the Hurricanes to a Sweet-16 and it's probable that Miami will make another trip to the NCAA Tournament ( Perhaps another Sweet-16 run. ).

In the mean time Golden and D'Onofrio have coached the football team to a LOSING season in SEASON number four! LOL

TheeMackJones

“Our goal was to set at least one if not two or three or four ball screens in every possession,” Miami coach Jim Larrañaga said. “Because our guards are best when they’re on the attack – the ball screens gives them a chance to get them free just a little bit and then attack the big. … We had some success with that and we just tried to keep it going throughout the game.” Coach Larranaga
###########

Imagine that Coach L understands the concept of ATTACK, ATTACK, and ATTACK some more.

And it's a tragedy that Miami football WAS ONCE known for attacking with a nasty attitude on defense. However, the beloved Golden FARCE and TONTO D'Onofiro have INTENTIONALLY handcuffed that nasty, attack mode on defense.

TheeMackJones

First. Congratulations Coach L and a major round of applause for Miami, Florida Hurricane hoops!

Second. I absolutely LOVE when any team defeats that ARROGANT pampered Coach K's DORK Blue Devil squad!!!!!!!!

Third. It's a bloody shame that the Powers That Be bumbled and fumbled away the grand opportunity to hire a PROVEN, successful head football coach!!!!!!!!!!!
Matter of fact, the university elders had TWO opportunities to hire a James Larranaga type of football coach.

And now Cane fandom is paying dearly for the sins of the Powers That Be. SMH

Surfercane

Is there going to be any coaching changes? Golden must be nuts to think we will take this BS!! Phucking kidding me!

Go,GoCanes!

MAGWB,

How about the Miami Hurricanes?

Larranaga's four year record:

20-13, 9-7 and sixth in the ACC-NIT
29-7, 15-3, 1st in the ACC, Sweet Sixteen (Larkin and Kadji)
17-16, 7-11 in the ACC, no tourney
14-4, 2-1 in ACC so far (Rodriguez and McClellan)

And before you turn this into me bashing Coach L, I'll say again he's the best coach of any sport at any level in S. Florida. Substitute him for that dolt Frank Haith and this team does none like what he's accomplished here.

SinisterCane

CoCane

GD,

Give me 1 College hoops team that has been elevated to a contender by the addition of 1 special player. I'll wait...

orange 'n green in the vein

When Jekiri finally rotates his free throw shooting wrist to the outside of his body and then steadies his left hand with that wrist follow through and stance at the stripe, he'll go from a guaranteed 10/10 double-double a game player to a potential 20/10 franchise center every night and it's over.

Duke is the type of defense that Lecomte will either detonate on any given night he's hot or shoot his team out of contention if he can't get to the line and isn't getting the floater to fall. Last night UM was hungrier and got the lion's share of the calls on drives in the lane getting into double bonus time in both halves, so got to love it when a plan comes together like that on game-days.

Hurricane Men's Basketball, the only thing keeping attempted angry troll sockpuppetry in support of 5-7 football. Now with 100% moor self mockery on display with every lint dropping. Where did Charlie Brown leave that burning dumpster picture again?

CaneRock

2 x 10 is 20...right?

Go,GoCanes!

That's your example? A Heisman winner that's going to be the first pick of the draft?

A player of that caliber at the most important position in football can of course elevate an already very good team, like Newton, Tebow and Young did. He can also make plays that determine close games, like he did this season. But since about one school every four or five years has that special a player, forgive me for thinking that's the exception rather than the rule.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here? I'm going off 1mg's info, he says they're the two coaches most likely to be gone, I'm wondering why. Carroll being gone just seems silly, but Williams makes sense. Either way I'm not sure either would be replaced by anyone who could make any kind of difference.
