Four guys, four days, and four incredible University of Miami sporting events.
When we started out on our journey this year for some "Four Play" in 2015, we thought it could get very complicated. It really turned out that we were wrong.
We though we might be in for some serious logistics and negotiations as we went along. We assumed that we could not agree on everything all the time.
But as it turned out, our adventure fell into the KISS principle: Keep It Simple Stupid. So we followed the saying as our guiding principle as we moved along.
So as we did, we were really glad we did. Things worked out very well.
We traveled smart, we ate well and we slept when necessary (not a lot).
Terrance, as usual was the man on a mission. He would not be denied.
We went to the UM campus and he took it over by familiarity and by force.
There will be a lot more photos and comments to follow in the days to come...
Boom. What a great time mad props to Soup, KYCANE, and Bill for a great time.

And the U takes down Pitt tonight, in spite of missing injured players, 67-63, on the road and overcoming a 4 point halftime deficit. It moves them back to one game over .500 in the ACC, and makes the game of VTech that much bigger in giving them a fighting chance for the tnmt.
Wow, did Duke take it to WFU tonight.
Posted by: JCane | March 04, 2015 at 10:17 PM
For those who think the U has no chance to make it, we still have to keep in mind that they're tied for 6th in the ACC with NCState and Syracuse, are one game up on each in the overall W-L column, have beaten each and Syracuse has already removed itself from postseason contention. All 5 teams ahead in the ACC are ranked, and a win over VTech would get the U to a 20 W season. Main thing is to get the W on 3/7, and to increase the odds of pulling out of the bubble, win at least 1 game, preferably 2, in the conference tnmt.
Posted by: JCane | March 04, 2015 at 10:22 PM
The Canes essentially won a playoff game tonight, and the next two games are also playoff games. Win and the Canes are in. Loose to Va Tech or the first ACC tournament game and they are likely out of the NCAA tournament. Coach L and the players giving Canes fans a lot to cheer for

Lebron didn't make my list the same reason Shaq didn't. Not here long enough. Bosh is spending the second half of his career here...

Just beat VT and get to 20 wins. Not too shabby for a "Football School." At least they used to be.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | March 05, 2015 at 12:32 AM
Congrats to the 3 Horsemen for giving it all this past weekend! Looking at the exhibits from better times, I wondered what realistic expectations nowadays should be.
I came up with this:
10 wins in football
(hasn't happened since '03)
20 wins in basketball
(5 times past 10 years, including 4/5 since 2010)
40 wins in baseball
(5/10 since '05, 2/5 since '10)
What do you think? (I mean, other than the ongoing debate "For X to happen, Coach Y has to go." or "The scheme sucks.")

There IT is right there.
Could only attend two basketball games this year but that is prolly more than most on here? And I live in the 863 not the 305! Orlando.

### UMโs NCAA Tournament chances remain very much alive after tonightโs huge 67-63 win at Pittsburgh. UM led 7-0 early, trailed by four at halftime, but rode Sheldon McClellan late in the game to move to 19-11 and 9-8.
McClellan closed with 20, Davon Reed had 19 and Tonye Jekiri had 10 points and 11 rebounds. And Miami did it without Angel Rodriguez, who was sidelined by a wrist injury. This was a quality win against a team also on the NCAA bubble.
โGreat win for our team,โ assistant coach Chris Caputo told Joe Zagacki on WQAM afterward. โWithout Angel, they banded together. Sheldon made some terrific shots. DeAndre Burnett went 0 of 5 but he was so important for us down the stretch the way he was defending.โ
UM closes Sunday at Virginia Tech and Jim Larranaga believes UM needs to win that game and two in the ACC Tournament in order to be invited to the NCAA Tourney.

LeBron could have eaten Scottie Pippen as a midnight snack back in the 80s and 90s.
If he's unguardable now WTF would have players done against him giving up 60 pounds of muscle and power combined with equal or more speed than they had.
Not to mention that LeBron plays beautiful, fundamentally sound basketball that would have been far more cohesive with that generations players that it is today.
Posted by: Go Canes | March 05, 2015 at 09:48 AM
Let's see...Bird's Celtics...Magic's Lakers...Zeek's Pistons...Michael's Bulls...like I said, DuhBum Lame would've NEVER won an NBAC'ship in the 80's & 90's.

Larry Blustein Recruiting: "That's the best thing about high school football in south Florida. At the start of spring, when baseball and other things should be on the front burner, high school football is dominating the news. IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING: 35 player transfers have happened in Miami-Dade and Broward since December - with at least 100 more to come before we kick things off in late August."

Still holding onto the idea that Wilfork comes back to New England. No one is gonna pay him 8 mill a year it's going to be half of that. It's all up to Blanca his wife at this point....

This is good:
@ChristyChirinos: Brad Kaaya on Stacy Coley's scrimmage performance: "He killed it today." Says Coley had 2 TDs.
Posted by: Go Canes | March 05, 2015 at 11:54 AM
I guess this is too?
@ChristyChirinos: Kaaya also said he had two picks today. Jermaine Grace had one, Dallas Crawford had another one.
Posted by: Go Canes | March 05, 2015 at 11:55 AM
let me guess... he wouldn't have killed it if A. Crawford was still on the team? :-) lol....
Stacey Coley is gonna beast this season i promise that, vault that soup it's going to happen.

@ByTimReynolds: Canes spring scrimmage No. 1 news: Michael Badgley kicked a 57- or 58-yard FG today. School record for real game is 57.

@ChristyChirinos: Stacy Coley: "Since the bowl game, I told myself I was going to work hard...I feel like I'm having fun again." Says he wants 14 TDs this yr.

He can have his 14 TDs, that would be a really good year. I hope to sell twice as many houses this year. IJS

GO...I must hit 2/month or 24 minimum. But 28 would be nice!
