This blog is to announce that Willie Will In Missouri (also know here commonly as WWIM), and formerly as Willie Will In Nashville (WWIN), has officially been fired as my agent. Simply put, the time has come to move on.
Now, let it be known that WWIN/WWIM represents many, many famous and popular bloggers here on Canespace. His ability to represent them in contract negotiations and defending them in difficult times cannot be questioned.
However, after taking a recent trip to the 305 and the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables, I have to formally announce that I have a new, and much better agent, to represent me at Canespace.
This particular agent has a much better history and reputation in representing high profile athletes (much like myself in the blogging world) and he definitely offered better perks that WWIM could never match.
So with that I introduce my new agent, and to let you know former UM DE Allen Bailey approved it, my new agent is the one and only...Drew Rosenhaus!
We threw up "The U", then did some other business, and then walked away very happy. But that is what happens when U follow the traditional Canespace rules:
U show up, U stay until the end, and then very good things are going to happen!
FIRST!

U gotta love it!
Posted by: SOUP | March 16, 2015 at 12:19 AM
Boom. Canespace rules!
Soup yep Drew Rosenhaus is also my agent maybe KYCANE also but he has to verify that though. Was great meeting Drew and Allen there. UM campus in the Gables is picturesque and a great time was had by all.
I would encourage Spacers to participate in the next Canespace adventure to the Gables. Go Canes.

The only thing I can see why we didn't make it to the big dance was we had no go to player , a marquee player , we talk about ucla and Indiana making it , but how did okla st make it with a 18-13 record .

Miami was left out as retribution for the tarnishing of the NCAA during the Shapiro Investigation.

UM is "one player" away from being a really good team. If, however, Coach L can't recruit at least one marquee-type player at least once every two or three years this program will be mired in the postseason "second division" (NIT) indefinitely.

Have been listening to a lot of the talking going on , one of the ncaa selection members said one of the reasons it hurt VA not getting a # 1 seed was because of its best player being hurt ,listening to these guys on Espn when they talk about certain teams they always mention a marquee player on those teams.
Posted by: Demons | March 16, 2015 at 07:15 AM
it didn't look like UM was getting in any way we didn't even get a # 1 seed in the NIT, they were a number of teams ahead of us .

Jay Belis on Mike & Mike this morning said NO WAY UCLA should had gotten a bid over Miami.
Miami beat Duke and won 10 road games. UCLA had beaten a bunch of nobodies.
Posted by: raizecane | March 16, 2015 at 07:40 AM
The corrupt, souless, money grubbing NCAA reared it's ugly head again yesterday.
UCLA, Indiana, Oklahoma State and Georgia? Give me a break.

GO CANES, I think the ncaa is like the board of trustees the masters Augusta golf tour, they are not going to give up the ghosts, if it worked in 1886 its still good to work now ,when ever a new president is hired he must abide by the rules and regs and must uphold the laws as they are and never to change anything , when he is on his death bed, he appoints the new pres, the initiation to become the new pres is like the animal house frats .

'Can I have another sir"
Posted by: Demons | March 16, 2015 at 08:06 AM
only changes has been to let a brutha play in the masters, and this year the ncaa decide to have a 4 team playoff, only because the us Prez said so , because they are going to have him on the board next year, lol

Trying to hold things down until the regulars come on board or wakes up.

I've got UK, Arizona, Villanova, and Duke in the final four, UK vs Duke in finals, UK winning it all.
I know, I went out on a pretty big limb with those picks lol
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | March 16, 2015 at 09:37 AM
LOL Ohio Cane smart man.
Posted by: Terrance Sullivan | March 16, 2015 at 09:42 AM
UK vs the field.
YOLO, so going to take the field.
When you lose to GT and that other northeastwestern team at home by 20+, it's hard to blame anyone but yourself. BUT, when you compare us to UCLA and a few others, they have just as bad losses. overall record, more road wins, we have the better resume. it is what it is, win the NIT!
Posted by: 30CINCO | March 16, 2015 at 09:56 AM
UCLA getting in is a horrendous error by the committee.
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | March 16, 2015 at 10:00 AM
This team has talent, it just needs to be developed more, as well as developing more chemistry.
Uceda needs to develop a close-in & mid-range game.
I think Sherman is a 3-4 combo, He needs to put the ball on the floor more and go to the hole.
McClellan can be a top player in the ACC, but He lacks consistency.
I like A-Rod, He just needs to develop His PG skills more.
I feel Lecomte will get better.
Like I said, this team needs to develop chemistry above all, this was really the 1st year of a pieced together team after all.

There's a moral to this story, and Coach L and the men could take a lesson from Golden that he hasn't learned yet: Don't lose to teams you're much better than. The losses to those teams kept us out of the Dance. One more win and we were in.
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | March 15, 2015 at 09:49 PM
I agree, although I'd say 2 more wins and we were in. The GT,Providence, & EKU losses were head scratching to say the least.
Posted by: CaneRock | March 16, 2015 at 11:12 AM
What's good Legion/Canespace; unfortunately, UCLA and Indiana has basketball championships and history, that is why they are in.

Wouldn't it be nice if the College football playoff followed the same principle?
We have plenty of championships and history to offer! (as repeatedly shown here in Soup's pictures from the UM sports HOF).

soup, I know the lack of success of the football team has caused some burn out. But I subscribe to the notion that your success in real estate coupled with said burn-out is the reason for your impending capitulation to keeping the blog running. I also challenge U that u r not letting your entrepreneurial spirit edge out your emotions; u can always sell the blog. U will get something from that and preserve the blog as a home of refuge for cane fans. Better yet. Let one of either umike, Ohio, t-sully, etc run it until u get your cane mojo back, till the canes start winning again, or golden gets fired, whichever comes 1st.
Also, I don't understand y u haven't developed a blog for sale on the App Store for like $2. We will all gladly buy it. And u can have some type of income from this.
Common man!!!!

If Al Golden has a successful season in 2015, Shaquille Quarterman will honor his commitment and sign with the Hurricanes.
If UM struggles and there become major questions in Coral Gables, the four-star linebacker could end up elsewhere.
"I would call my commitment to Miami 95-percent right now," said Quarterman. "I am leaving that 5-percent open because if Miami loses and has a bad season, then I could go to another school.
"Auburn, Florida, Alabama, LSU, and Michigan are all still recruiting me hard and I will be taking my official visits.
Even with the visits, if Miami has a good season, I am signing with them."
The 6-foot-1, 239 pound inside backer out of Oakleaf, Fla. has visited UM many times and he is committed to the Hurricanes for many reasons.
"I really like everything at Miami. I grew up a big Miami fan, so it was my dream to play there. I know I fit in there as a player and a student. I have the opportunity to play early there and it is just right for me there."
Quarterman is planning to graduate early and enroll in college early in January.
Miami The Opening Regional Review: Quarterman was in the best shape I have seen him in. His body is really coming together and he moved well. He is really good when moving north-south and he disects things quickly. He is quiet and he really soaks in the coaching well. I like his strength and ability to stop the run. What stood out most at this event was his frame, his awareness, and just his ability to take coaching.

The three outsiders are coming from a radio station, Montana State and ... Temple.
If OGV ever comes back here again, things might get ugly.
Personally, I couldn't care less whether we promote the bus driver to "director of player transportation" or add a former Indonesian badminton champion to the coaching staff.
We need better results on the field, no matter how.
