This blog is to announce that Willie Will In Missouri (also know here commonly as WWIM), and formerly as Willie Will In Nashville (WWIN), has officially been fired as my agent. Simply put, the time has come to move on.
Now, let it be known that WWIN/WWIM represents many, many famous and popular bloggers here on Canespace. His ability to represent them in contract negotiations and defending them in difficult times cannot be questioned.
However, after taking a recent trip to the 305 and the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables, I have to formally announce that I have a new, and much better agent, to represent me at Canespace.
This particular agent has a much better history and reputation in representing high profile athletes (much like myself in the blogging world) and he definitely offered better perks that WWIM could never match.
So with that I introduce my new agent, and to let you know former UM DE Allen Bailey approved it, my new agent is the one and only...Drew Rosenhaus!
We threw up "The U", then did some other business, and then walked away very happy. But that is what happens when U follow the traditional Canespace rules:
U show up, U stay until the end, and then very good things are going to happen!
Man, that boy got big.

From the looks of it, that was a SOS (7 on 7) drill. Seriously doubt we'll see DJ lined up as a MLB when the bullets start flying.

JICYDK, UM vs NCC at 7 on ESPN2.
Posted by: CaneRock | March 17, 2015 at 06:11 PM
I could live with the U's missing the NCAA tnmt., as they had some bad losses, way more easily if the team that finished just behind them in the ACC and got beaten by them didn't make the tnmt. However, NC State opens with LSU. Oh, well.
As for the U, 11 point lead with just under 8 min. left in the game. Let's see a nice run in the NIT for what it's worth, and a move toward building for next year with what should be a very good team with a year of playing together under its belt.

ugly win
Posted by: KYcane | March 17, 2015 at 09:36 PM
Of course. That's what we do - win ugly (or lose pretty).
P.S. GW ousts PITT. Also, it looks like UM will play Alabama in the next game. ACC v. SEC. It should be interesting.

Nice! A blog post which mentions both RACE and RELIGION. Why not interject POLITICS too? After all, the BYU players are most likely registered Republicans (like everyone else in Utah, I guess).
Posted by: nemo2002 | March 17, 2015 at 10:37 PM
Definitely Republicans also, lol. I think Dems get excommunicated from the Mormon church.

Yes, they're on a mission . . . to win the NIT. . . or the NCAA . . . or the NBA . . . or whatever. It's all part of a "higher" calling. With clean living and the right "connections" ALL things are possible.

BTW I wanted to congratulate NC Central on such a great game today. Those guys were very, very good. I was impressed. I was looking at our guards pinned against the outer half of the corners of our offensive end for all of the second half. And we had no plan for it through the end of the game. They had 4 seniors who had played 100 games for them in 4 years and won 75 of those games. Props to them.

Those NCC cheerleaders though...DAMN!

Beason is a smart man:
“This year, [Golden] took crap from all of the alumni,” Blustein said. “Jon Beason put it the best when he said that by knocking Al Golden down, what you are doing is hurting your school. If you tell kids don’t go there, you are hurting your alma mater. So why would you do that? You have to back your guy as long as he’s employed by the school. Once he’s not, then we will back the next person. A lot of people took heed to that and took a couple of steps back and realized that he had a point.”
Posted by: 30CINCO | March 18, 2015 at 11:23 AM
Man does that statement by Beason sound incredibly familiar.
I wonder if Beason will be accused of loving Golden more than the Canes. Or be told he's part of the problem if he renews his season tickets. Or be 100% certain he'll disappear if Golden gets fired. Or be told he must-defend-Golden at all costs.
I'll stop at those greatest hits and not get into the names he deserves to be called.
Posted by: Go Canes | March 18, 2015 at 11:43 AM
Beason like the playmaker are canes. they can say whatever they want.
but D Smith45 and Winston and PB31 .... are also canes and they can say what they feel.
As far as defending golden at all costs --that position is taken and you're doing a solid job.

Posted by: The Dude | March 18, 2015 at 12:30 PM
There's a gigantic gap between defending at all cost, which I don't do, and supporting a coach while he is still our coach.
That would be like me saying someone who thinks Golden should have been fired is the same person who mocks and hates on everything about everything having to do with this program only because Golden is coach.

UM football gets key players back in preparation for spring game
After enjoying a stretch of more than 11 days off for spring break, the Miami Hurricanes resumed spring football practice Tuesday with a couple players fully healed from injuries (offensive tackle Kc McDermott and cornerback Tracy Howard), a new face in a red noncontact jersey (linebacker Tyriq McCord) and a new depth chart.
Here’s what was noteworthy from the first of five remaining practices before the March 28 spring game at Fort Lauderdale’s Lockhart Stadium:
▪ No one on the team, it appears, got themselves into trouble over the break. “Did you hear anything,” coach Al Golden responded when asked if the break ended without any surprises. “It was awesome.”

One thing has absolutely nothing to do with the other.
Beason taking $100 from that lowlife scumbag for a game of pool is a zero indicator of his intelligence, obviously.
Trying to correlate the two things simply ridiculous.
Posted by: Go Canes | March 18, 2015 at 01:25 PM
"$100"?...LMAO!
Posted by: CaneRock | March 18, 2015 at 01:31 PM
"$100"?
Jon Beason
•$400 for eight tackles in Miami's 31-21 against Virginia on Nov. 13, 2004
•$250 for a sack in that same game
•$500 for a hit on Colorado's quarterback during the return of a fumbled snap in a game on Sept. 24, 2005
Posted by: CaneRock | March 18, 2015 at 01:44 PM
Does the amount of money increase or decrease your intelligence?

Didn't ya'll say that the reason kids weren't coming here was because of the cloud?...wasn't Beason partly responsible for that cloud?...but now all of a sudden ya'll are in full agreement when Beason makes this gem of a comment..."If you tell kids don’t go there, you are hurting your alma mater."

How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
Really guys, we've been through this about a hundred and fifty times already. Time to move on and see what's over the next hurdle. Be grateful we have a good class, be hopeful we actually keep these commits, and be thankful if we're not having the same argument next year.
