We interrupt our normal blogging on this Memorial Day 2014 to offer a very sincere THANK U to all of the men and women who defend freedom!
For all of those incredibly brave men and women who have served in the U.S armed forces and who have literally put their lives on the line to protect and defend the United States of America this blog is for U.
For all of the courageous men and women who recognized that freedom isn't free and found it necessary to put themselves in harms way we thank U.
For all of those Army soldiers who have fearlessly risked their lives to defend our Country in World Wars, regional conflicts and in other military battles against terrorists we honor U.
For all of those Navy sailors, who save the free world on the open seas, without concern for their own safety to defend the world's oceans we recognize U.
For all of those highly skilled Air Force pilots and their support crews who defend our airspace with their incredible talent and ability we salute U.
And for all of those who served as a Marine like my father who faught in Koreaand served as a Staff Sargent in Camp LeJune, NC may God bless you and keep you safe and well. It's not easy being first in and last out.
We wish all American defense personnel and all U.S. citizens across our great Nation the peace, freedom and security that all sovereign Nations deserve.
We would like to take this opporuntity to wish all of our armed forces and all of our Canespace Nation family and friends a safe, happy and fun Memorial Day.
Miami Hurricane fans salute U and ask that God Bless America!
If more people went it would be nice. If we ever get on track and get back to the top on a regular basis, we may pack the joint.

It was no different at the OB in terms of people showing up. UM always had trouble drawing fans to the games unless a big game, although a bit less when top 10, but it still happened. Still, wherever they're playing at, I'd like to see them in the top 10 again, and in a legit. fashion. I loved the days when just being in the top 10 wasn't even close to being good enough.
Happy to throw some baseball at the blog when time permits. I love U baseball. Fell in love with it back in the 70s when RF was coaching and had to listen to games on the radio (pre cable and playing teams like the Maine Black Bears in the CWS).

I don't think they do.....my guys would kill for me they listen.....and have had incredible success. I have captured tbeir attention pride heart imagination respect. They want to win they refuse to lose. AlPa and staffPa have not made that type of inroads....and along with schmes and attack that do not work, the result is limited success.
Howard Jimmy Erickson had that relationship with the players....that idea that losing is not an option, that we will win no matter what.

As for Cane baseball, it was announced that the U, along with Louisville and FSU, will be hosting a regional, as the 3 ACC hosts. Tomorrow at noon we'll have the whole field of 64 announced, including who will be at the Coral Gables regional and what the tnmt. seeding is (ie if the U is in the top 8, as anticipated, especially by not blowing the game to NDU). I think it will be televised on ESPNU. Clearly it's not even close to being as big as football or baseball.
Nothing like having sports radio spend all day talking about the NFL extra point change the other day, meaning they talked more about the NFL during its offseason then the NBA in the middle of the playoffs. Clearly, nothing touches the NFL in this country.

It is developed taught acquired via repetition....and it is one of those fundamentals that are found in consistent winning dominant teams.
I have worked hard to develop it in my team...I hope we develop it here....again.
