Lurker...agree with you on LBJ trying to play the coach & GM.

But I have to disagree with you on Love...if He plays, I think it's a different series. IMO, He was the one player that could pace their offense, much like Bosh & Wade did in Miami.

Ohio_Cane

I'll have to disagree on this statement.....remember they had Kyrie the first game and lost!!!

Kyrie also put up 23 points and was only about 60% healthy. I said if Love and Kyrie were HEALTHY.

Lur-ker

I hear ya, CR, but look back at Love's entire season with Cleveland. They were having a hell of a hard time trying to find how he actually fit in the offense, and the defense. Plus he is a huge liability on defense. He can rebound, but is otherwise a defensive liability.

Love is the type of player that can thrive, but it has to be in a specific offense geared to his strengths and weaknesses. When he was THE man in Minnesota he had outrageous almost-MVP type numbers. Gets to Cleveland and has a hard time fitting in.

Proof is in this pudding: supposedly Bron and Cleveland can take him or leave him now, especially if he wants max, or close to max, money. That sure doesn't sound like somebody that would've made that huge of a difference. Not to me, anyway.

Ohio_Cane

I know Cleveland is your team, and LeBron is your boy, but don't fall for the hype.

Cavs aren't my team. Miami is. Lebron is my boy, though, so I always root for him after Miami. Always have.

JCane

CWS has seen an awful lot of great pitching without a lot of hitting displays thus far, except maybe for the first FU-UM game. UM's pitching hasn't exactly been lights out or consistent, dodging the bullet a few times vs. Arkansas. We need to see better pitching and hitting, although I suppose every baseball team needs this, to continue to advance.

JCane

The hitting especially needs to be there in clutch situations. Thankfully Heyward was playing vs. Arkansas, or the season would have been done. The top of the order was great all season long. Hope they come back to form tonight.

Ohio_Cane, that was me yesterday

TonyCane

Lurker...question. Would you let Wade (to Cleveland) walk if it meant replacing him with Love?

Go Canes

Huh?

@DavidFurones90: Plantation American Heritage WR and former Hurricane commit Dredrick Snelson announces he will be transferring to Flanagan. @AndreMHsports

CaneRock

TonyCane...Miami could've actually drafted Love or Westbrook in 2008...drafted Beasley instead SMDH! The 2010 lineup could've consisted of Wade,James,Bosh,Love or Westbrook...and Westbrook or Love would've still been on their rookie contracts.

CaneRock

Gets to Cleveland and has a hard time fitting in.

Lurker...from what I've heard, Bosh had the same problem in Miami...He didn't want to be a spot up 3 point guy. Heard there was major tension between Him & James.

Ring,ring,ring...

Pat Riley...Hello...

D.Wade...Yoooo, Pat, this D.Wade.

Pat Riley...Hey D.Wade, what's goin' on...

D.Wade...You saw that game last night?

Pat Riley...LMAO! Yeah.

D.Wade...He thought...He thought...He thought He could put the Heat & Knicks together and win a Championship...BWAAAAAAAAHAAAAHAAAAA!

Pat Riley...IKR...BWAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAA!

doubt Wade is getting on the phone with Riley anytime soon. $36M for 3 years is the right money but not as Wade sees it.

Cavs without Irving and Love were about as bad as I've seen in the finals. James was a 1 man team.

Last year's heat beat Warriors.

VA CANE

I cannot see paying Wade 12 mil a year for 17 ppg.
He has been a fine player but that's too much.
Enjoyed the games.....but lets get on to the game of games football. We are doing fundamentals and riding bikes....very hot so we are very careful. We train to go 8 quarters to be in shape....and be fundamentally sound. ...trademark. We have some serious speed and talent....fundamentals matter most. Ready for a breakout year for AlPa and Co...really need to go for it. Steele does like us...might be a little high at 21....but fast start and strong fundamentals and win couple big games and we can take off and compete. Go Canes!

CaneRock

Don't know about max money, but Wade deserves His. Carried the team to their 1st 'Ship...orchestrated the Big 3 of Him,Ray Allen, & Chris Bosh coming together...PAY DAT' MAN!

Actually Wade is at the end of his pro career, much as I love and appreciate what he's done for the Heat. Love has bigger upside for the future, because he's younger, but he's also injury prone, and I don't know how hard he is on the inside, if you know what I mean. There's no question about the heart and hardness of D Wade.

Also it's not a question of letting D Wade go anywhere, it's if whether he will accept the type of money Riley wants to give him or not. Then it's his choice to go wherever he wants, but in Cleveland he's not going to get anywhere near what Riley would offer, because of the cap, so he's looking at minimum or close to minimum money in Cleveland right now, and supposedly it's going to be very hard if not impossible for them to make cap space to pay him more.

So to answer your question if I knew that Wade was going to be good for about 70% of the games, I'd still keep him. Especially at a reduced rate. I just don't know what Love has to offer. He has gaudy statistics from his time in Minnesota but can he go balls to the wall like Wade.
