WINNER: MIAMI HEAT
Former forward Justise Winslow was expected to be taken within the first six picks. He fell, however, to the 10th selection where the fortunate Heat selected him. Heat president Pat Riley was due for some good luck after losing LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers last offseason – and maybe losing Dwyane Wade this summer.
But with Winslow coming, the Heat might be more attractive for Wade to stay. If Wade and free-agent point guard Goran Dragic re-sign, Miami could have a formidable lineup with those two veteran guards, Winslow, All-Star Chris Bosh and center Hassan Whiteside.
"I feel like we can mesh well," Winslow said about playing with Bosh and Wade. "I feel like we're all so talented and can do so many things on the court that we'll be able to complement each other's skills, and our presence on the court will be great. I'm ready to get down there, meet the guys and I know we'll have a bright future."

Smartest tweet I ever saw was when the Duke dogged LBJ when he left Miami, but without mentioning names and making it in such a way that he could say he was talking about somebody/something else. Slick.
So he ends up in Cleveland but there's no controversy.

Have no idea what did or didn't occur in this case but if this is true then someone will chase the truth down. I think FSU partnership with TPD may well come back and bite them in the ass big time at some point.

While I can appreciate the speech he made, I cannot defend the WH bathed in the colors of the gay pride flag. He called it his house....it is the American peoples house. Therefore, to advocate a particular group by flag or flag colors or representation....cmon people are not that stupid...is choosing a group over the masses. That was the problem here....Fed flying gay pride flag in Richmond...many offended, but they did not care, they saw it as normal or real....just not necessary....nothing on peoples buildings but American flag...and if state building state flag. As many said the confederate flag offends.....so might the gay pride flag.....keep it neutral dude!

No slight of Presidents speech, he wrote and delivered it well...he was very good.
I think we have to get the idea straight that we are all Americans....regardless of black white latino asian african gay straight bi trans north south east west all colors locations religions backgrounds....so we fly our US flag and state flag over govt buildings ...and still display flags we choose away from govt. Perhaps then we learn to love all people. It would be nice huh?

Respectful disagreement is no longer an option in today's society.
That is a big, big problem.
Posted by: Go Canes | June 27, 2015 at 01:01 PM
^I'd love to agree with that statement, but doing so seems a bit contradictory.
Posted by: BEERicane | June 27, 2015 at 02:24 PM
Guys, watch your asses. There's a reason y we keep politics off this blog. While I respect U much VA. But I also respectfully disagree with almost every part of the statement U just made. The thinking is wrong. The logic doesn't compute. Let's start with this, to equate the Pride flag with the confederate flag stinks of homophobia. Here in New York, the Chrysler building is lit with the colour of any holiday been celebrated, including the french's Bastile day, irish flag colors during saint patric's day.. Chrysler building is not the White House, granted. But similar rules apply and U would not see the confederate flag flying over the Chrysler building either.
Again VA, much respect homie. I just disagree with your comment. Remember, It was a widely held And a normal view once that white people were the superior race.

I, for one, am not touching any of this, other than to say I respect the opinions of all, except those that try to tell people what and how they should think, and those that don't tolerate genuine respectful dissent.

Native-Cane off topic but do you know of any good ol cur dogs running around on hogs down that way?
Posted by: fmcane | June 27, 2015 at 06:52 PM
I don't think anyone is saying that the gay pride flag is as offensive as the Confederate flag, but I find it hard to believe that people can't see why it's comparable in the sense that it's offensive to people. The gay pride flag is certainly offensive to many, many, many Christians. The obvious difference is that gay's never seceded to form their own country and oppressed another people, but we could debate this endlessly. I say no flags but state, country, military and other government sponsored flags should be allowed to fly on government ground.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | June 27, 2015 at 08:11 PM
I don't want the gay pride flag on my state capital and I don't want the Ten Commandments there either.

I don't give a damn about LGBTs TEMPORARILY hanging their flags after winning the right to marry. BIG difference between that, and black folks having to look up at a racist flag, after 9 people got killed for BEING BLACK!
Posted by: CaneRock | June 27, 2015 at 10:44 PM
^^^ you don't give a damn, but millions of Americans do.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | June 27, 2015 at 11:53 PM
Millions of Southerners don't think the Confederate flag is racist and don't feel like that murderer represents their culture, hell, lots of blacks would disagree with you CR. The point is that our government should be as secular as possible, so as to make sure it's serving everyone as equally as it can.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | June 27, 2015 at 11:55 PM
Many millions. It's not hate, for the most part. It's religious conviction, or lack of familiarity, or discomfort, or well reasoned logic. But whatever the reason, many many millions of Americans do give a damn.
