So far, it looks like we'll be facing the Gators unless the Noles show some comeback qualities. They are down 8-2 after 4 innings.

Virginia is the second team to qualify for the CWS; they scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th being down 4-2 against Maryland to win 5-4 after winning 5-3 on Friday.

The series between Missouri St. and Arkansas is tied. The other four matchups have game #2 scheduled for tomorrow, so no one will advance today.

Finally the canes have come back to Omaha! Just what The Rock would have said.

Which colleges have the most eligible students and alumni in the US?

Hinge curated its list of the most desirable universities using two criteria: attractiveness (the alumni from these universities have high "swipe right" rates on their profiles) and academic ranking, using US News & World Report's competitive ranking of national universities, which doesn't include liberal arts colleges.

7. University of Miami

Beauty: These alumni are swiped right on 15.8% more than the average Hinge user.

Brains: US News & World Report ranking: No. 48.

@pbpsports: #Gators are 3 outs away from meeting Miami in the opener at the College World Series

FU has knocked the crap out of FSU pitching the last two days, and now goes to Omaha to face the U. It should be exciting. I don't expect an outing like Woodrey had today would have still had us tied vs. a better hitting team though. Abrams was a monster coming in with the based loaded, nobody out, and getting us out of the 3rd unscathed.

UVa, not looking like a great ACC team, along with conference foe, UM, will be in pool A, along with FU, while still having the Arkansas MoSt superregional knotted. Props to Missou St. for taking game 2 after getting destroyed in game 1 and not getting to have their own superregional at home as a host, as should have been.

In the other pool, ACC rival and overall #3 Louisville was beaten in the 10th by perennial powerhouse Cal State Fullerton, wasting the 9th inning comeback run that tied the game.

There will be more Omaha invites determined tomorrow. It's all fun when the U is back in the promised land. Hope to put the fighting turds in the loser bracket quickly.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict the U plays CSF in the championship, although CSF still has to get another game in Louisville first.

JCane

Meant to say UVa wasn't looking like a great ACC baseball team during the season. During the postseason they've been great.

JCane

Also, UVa played UM tough all season long, taking the regular season series. However, they were the low team on the totem pole in the UM ACC tnmt pool. Worked out okay for them though...

Go Canes

Any time we can show a Wannabe their place in the natural order it's a good day.

To quote Keoiki...F the Turds!!!!

Go Canes!!!!
