@GoldenAl: Our 2015 Captains - Kaaya, Kirby & Crawford. Leadership is deep on #OurTeam --> We'll name a 4th captain weekly. http://t.co/buqjQAqvG1

thirstybuzzardcane

Deon Bush?

thirstybuzzardcane

Tracy Howard?

Lur-ker

Right between the eyes with the article, Soup. My first laugh tonight.

Well done.

laquinton

No problems with the captains, should be Brad, we have heard raves about his leadership all year, Raphael is the heir apparent on defense, Dallas is a team guy, offense, defense and holder on special teams

86Cane

OK, Terrance I changed it to 40 PPG. Are U happy now? I just thought that since the ACC was the WORST conference ever invented it might have been fity, but forty is cool?

thirstybuzzardcane

40/20 would be a perfect!!!! I like how you think Terrence!!!!

86Cane

YES or NO?

Terrance Sullivan

Yesss.

Terrance Sullivan

Our Goal should definitely be 40/20. 86 I am ecstatic. I would like to figure out what our record would be if we had the 40/20 ratio. TBC U welcome. 86 U know U Rule Boss!

86Cane

Thirsty...do not take it personally, I am deleting your comments. Simply put, it is a YES or NO question. Is it YES or NO?

thirstybuzzardcane

Yes, sir!

Go Canes

Yes

Miami vs ACC Coastal

Under Al Golden (4 years)
3-1 Duke
3-1 Georgia Tech
3-1 North Carolina
1-1 Pittsburgh
1-3 Virginia
2-2 Virginia Tech

Under Randy Shannon (4 years)
4-0 Duke
3-1 Georgia Tech
1-3 North Carolina
2-2 Virginia
1-3 Virginia Tech

Under Larry Coker (3 years)
3-0 Duke
1-2 Georgia Tech
2-1 North Carolina
2-1 Virginia
1-2 Virginia Tech

As for division winners, anything more than two losses in the ACC will generally disqualify you from winning the coastal.

Coastal Division Winners:
2004: 6-2 (Virginia Tech) Miami finishes 3rd
2005: 7-1 (Virginia Tech) Miami finishes 2nd
2006: 6-2 (Georgia Tech) Miami finishes 4th
2007: 7-1 (Virginia Tech) Miami finishes 5th
2008: 5-3 (Virginia Tech) Miami finishes 4th
2009: 7-1 (Georgia Tech) Miami finishes 3rd
2010: 8-0 (Virginia Tech) Miami finishes 2nd
2011: 7-1 (Virginia Tech) Miami finishes 4th
2012: 5-3 (Georgia Tech) Miami tied for 1st
2013: 6-2 (Duke) Miami finishes tied for 2nd
2014: 6-2 (Georgia Tech) Miami finishes 5th

Didn't realize that Sam Bruce is the nephew of Isaac Bruce. STA leads Booker 28-3. Bruce just scored and threw up the U!!!......Nice!!!

Ohio_Cane

thirstybuzzardcane

I would rather see St. Thomas vs Central. This is a slaughter...

Booker T will be back next year though.

Ohio_Cane

Damn it, Thirsty!

Go Canes

That QB at BT has serious skills.

Two years from now he'll be a big time recruit

Here is a simple concept let the damn Season play out and then by November 28th we can all speculate who the head coach could be for 2016. We are a week away from the 2015 Season Opener Kickoff and all this hot air about 2016 is tired and nauseating. Give it a freaking rest. For Pete Sake. Geez.

Terrance Sullivan

BOL hahaha.

Terrance Sullivan

7 days until Season Opener Kickoff. It's officially Game Week Peeps! Go Canes!

Terrance Sullivan

We better beat BCU by 50.

CaneRock

To answer SOUP's question...no. I think 35-38 will suffice.

CaneRock

If the pass protection can consistently give Kaaya 3/+ seconds to throw, then 40/+ is feasible.

Terrance Sullivan

Great blogging Peeps.

IraqiCane

HAIL YEAH!!! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

@CanesWarning: Miami Hurricanes Use Technology to Improve Performance & Safety: During this yearโ€™s โ€œCanes Campโ€, le... http://t.co/mvq3ZWE08h #TheU #UM

86Cane

Miami scored more than 40 points in only 5 games last year. IF the Canes improve to score 40 or more in 7 games this year then that would likely lead to 2 more wins in 2015.

Ironically, The UM defense also held opponents to 20 or fewer points 5 times last season. IF the defense improves to hold opponents to under 20 points 7 times this season then that may also likely result in 2 more wins.

FOUR more wins would be nice, huh?

Don't forget the UNC and Cincy games that were 44-6 and 41-13 when we emptied the benches for the fourth.

Nine to ten wins, barring a catastrophic rash of injuries, and build from there.

86Cane

Go...when we "empty the benches" those players HAVE to perform also and help hold the opponent to under 20 PPG. If it was 44-6 then give up just 10 points for 16 total. If it was 41-13 hold them to to FGs and under 20 points at 19.

Terrance Sullivan

Great stuff 86. Yesss Sir
2015 the Goal is 40/20 Baby.

Go Canes

Good point.

Really just referencing those games to offset the constant references back to our worst performance as the indicator of what we really were on D last year.

You know, 5 times under 20, two more given up during garbage time, S. Carolina with only 17 and us with the ball in our hands late...Yeah but THE NEBRASKA GAME!!!!
