The University of Miami football program signed rising senior quarterback Jack Allison to a grant-in-aid agreement on Saturday.
Allison enters his senior season at Palmetto High School after he tossed 18 touchdowns as a junior in 2014.
He is currently ranked as the No. 6 pocket passer quarterback according to ESPN Recruiting and 247Sports. He also is the No. 72 ranked overall player in the ESPN 300 rankings.
Most recently, Allison was selected as the Most Valuable Quarterback at the 2015 Al Golden Football Camp. He also went to the Elite 11 Semifinals in Los Angeles.
Sweet. Loved seeing the Jack and the 3 other high school student athletes sign grant in aid with us and Hopefully look forward to them signing loi with us in February and believe they plan to early enroll in January and participate in Spring Practice. 34 days until Season Opener Kickoff. Go Canes.

That's mean that he was soo successful at the U that he left as Junior, I'm rooting for this kid

I don't see BK15 leaving early.
Posted by: Terrance Sullivan | August 02, 2015 at 10:55 AM
Hope that prediction comes true!!
Unlike how things have been in the past, we will have a very capable REDSHIRTED freshman waiting to take over.
Posted by: Go Canes | August 02, 2015 at 11:01 AM
You better look at Cook's 2 TDs vs UM, they came outta the same 3 x 1 spread formation. A big back like Gus probably gets 12-15 yards at most on those plays.
And you can call those offenses "silly" all you want, that doesn't change the fact that 2 "silly" offenses played for a NC.
Posted by: CaneRock | August 01, 2015 at 04:19 PM
CR, I have some bullet points re: "spread" offenses and regarding FSU and other teams using it, but too lazy to put my thoughts together now. When I get to it, you'll get what I'm saying

I don't see it either. Only possibly is after his junior year, even then. He still has a lot to learn, and he still needs more physical development.
Posted by: Lur-ker | August 02, 2015 at 11:07 AM
If it's not negativy you won't get much of a response here Ohio.
Posted by: Go Canes | August 02, 2015 at 09:43 AM
See. This is how you start sh*t.

Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | August 02, 2015 at 01:46 PM

It's not true?
Imagine the number of posts on here this weekend if the two had decommited instead of moving forward 100% with their promise to sign here.
100 to 1?
200 to 1?
It is what it is. There are people here who do nothing but look for a way to post something, anything negative every chance they get.
The two jewels of our 2016 class sign their financial agreements?
Virtually nothing.
Posted by: Go Canes | August 03, 2015 at 07:03 AM
It was also the weekend when blogging is traditionally slow. Still no reason to take a shot at people... an unprovoked shot.
Also, that does NOT mean they are "moving forward 100% with their promise to sign here". This increases our chances, but does not make it 100%... see D Cook.
It is a good move though, especially this early. We have a good LB group in this class and Allison looks to be the real deal. How Pinckney is not a universal 4-star is beyond me.
Tyler Byrd will be a name to watch, good chance he flips to TN.
Posted by: UMike | August 03, 2015 at 07:16 AM
To add to that...with Rasul decommited there was barely a peep from the haters.
Posted by: UMike | August 03, 2015 at 07:17 AM
Go Canes...was it you that said you might try to make the UNC game?
Posted by: UMike | August 03, 2015 at 07:20 AM
This is nothing like the Dalvin Cook situation. He was never committed and was always a long shot at best.
These guys from what I read had nothing but singular focus on getting here early and don't appear to be wavering at all.
I've always wanted to get back to a Tar Heels game. I just need to see if my schedule will permit it this year.
Posted by: Go Canes | August 03, 2015 at 07:38 AM
I agree Cook was different and these guys all look solid..just saying that financial agreement is not 100%.
Any tips for a UNC trip, Ive never been there.
Posted by: UMike | August 03, 2015 at 07:43 AM
