^^^^^^^^ Changing the narrative again, you see. Answer the question!

What coverage GIVES you that throw...NOT takes away, but GIVES?

Lur-ker

You're the one changing the narrative. The narrative being Kayaa's arm and deep sideline outs (and the fact that there are at least several starting NFL QB's that can't make that specific throw reliably)

All this started by your contempt for Kaaya and what he's accomplished.

You literally changed the narrative yourself and then accused me of it. That's pretty audacious. I'll give you credit for the headfake, but I ain't buying it.

LOL. Makes no difference to the subject, and you know it. Like I said before, I'm not falling into your trap. It's an easy answer but I'm not answering because that's not the point.

Irrelevant to the subject at hand. You're changing the narrative. Not me. It's painful watching you do this.

Read my last post if you forgot the topic.

CaneRock

^^^^^^^ You see.... Did I not tell you guys that. You see the complete narrative and hostile call out for the discourse to change? So now I hate Kaaya...answer the question:

What coverage GIVES you that throw...NOT takes away, but GIVES?

1mg of Epi

I don't think CR changed the narrative. You implied he did not have a basic knowledge of football based on not using a just about washed up PM as an example of a weak arm... Turn about is fair play.

CaneRock

You notice He refuses to answer the question...a lot of dismounts, somersaults, & cartwheels. OF COURSE I didn't change the narrative Epi, but Lurker won't say that LMAO!

Jsy

Something that can not be argued is golden loses more games that he should win then win games he should lose... Sad but true

UMike

Ohhhh, that can and has been argued here lol

UMike

After reading the article over at the herald about our front 7, I realized we still have no good DT's lol...People have talked about the lack of talent and/or depth...that is on Golden. If this was the NFL it would on the GM, but in college ball it falls on the coach.

Seems to me like we have a army of talent pass rushers at DE but just bodies at DT.

The Dude

^^^ Jenkins has talent.

The Dude

Great blogging today CR, SC, Demons, Epi. :)

CaneRock

UMike, I don't think the DTs are world-beaters, but it's the most quality group we've had in a minute. I wanna see what this kid Norton can do.

SinisterCane

ACC Champions or BUST

UMike

CR...I will give you probably the best group we have had, but doesnt make them a good group lol. IMO Jenkins is the best DT we have, which isnt saying much.

Anyone know why Bostwick didnt get in at Florida or left program?

How could we realistically expect that in Goldens second year??

Jsy

I always hope and pray for 12-0 but with night games it's too tough.

Lur-ker

This is hilarious.

Careful. You're walking into agenda territory. Lol.

CaneRock

UMike...I don't know what the deal with Bostwick is.

I didn't read about em' having any conduct or academic issues.

The only 3 things I can surmise, is either He didn't want to be part of a staff change...He fell down the depth chart...or He got homesick.

IDK.

UMike

CR...IDK, but its seems like it was a clean release and he wont have to sit out or anything. Normally theres restrictions. I could be wrong on that though.

Found this..

Florida defensive tackle Jay-nard Bostwick has sought and received a release to transfer from Florida, according to Thomas Goldkamp of 247Sports.

Update, 1:40 p.m.: Florida has confirmed Goldkamp's report.

Bostwick had been away from the team since the end of the 2014 season while dealing with what Jim McElwain termed "personal issues," so his decision to transfer is no shock. And he wasn't expected to do much in 2015 after a relatively quiet beginning to his career as a Gator: Bostwick redshirted in 2013, and played sparingly in 2014, appearing in five games and recording just three tackles on the year.

Bostwick's most prominent moment as a Gator, in fact, may have come for his cameo role in a saga revolving around something he didn't do. After outlets including The Palm Beach Post and Gator Country erroneously reported before Florida's 2013 opener that Bostwick had been suspended for a violation of team rules (along with four other players who were, in fact, suspended for violations of team rules), then-Florida coach Will Muschamp laid into those reporters in his infamous "church mice in here" diatribe.

Bostwick was later suspended for Florida's 2014 opener against Idaho.

Florida's unlikely to put much in the way of transfer restrictions on Bostwick. McElwain has been open about wanting to help players who want to transfer move on, saying "If they don't want to be here, I don't want to keep them here" to reporters prior to meeting with a booster club in April.

And despite what Bostwick's father is saying...

UMike

I think he will have to sit out a year.

Interesting how all the pundits put Golden on the hot seat. At $10mm+ to push him out of that seat after this season, I'm not sure how hot the seat is.

It should be hot, but we have a very cheap admin. Maybe the new guy will change the tone.

UMike

mountain,..I think that was discusses at length after last season. The idea he should be gone, but probably wont cause it could be expensive.

mountain cane

Umike, my point is that 2.5 mm cheaper now since another year has gone by still isn't cheap. The number of stories predicting his departure with a lame season has mushroomed, esp at the national level.

UMike

If we go 6-7 again or close I think he will be gone no matter what. The program would lose more in the long run by keeping him, better to just pay up imo

F@@K that it's year 5 and Golden better win

Lur-ker

Read the interview with BJ prior to the latest one and even the latest one.

If I were an employee, and my boss was making those comments about me, whether publicly or privately, I would consider them a shot across my bow and understand that if I didn't perform, I'd be gone.

It's obvious to me. Even the Coastal championship is mentioned. Just read both interviews closely. Heard it a bunch of times before. It's sports corporate speak for make it happen this year or your gone.

I don't think anything less than 8-9 wins will be accepted.

You'll know he's in real trouble when Blake gives him the dreaded "vote of confidence" during a bad stretch (if that happens)

Remember it's Blake's ass too.

The buyout at this point will NOT be a problem. Assuming it has to happen.

Since your a Booster, have you heard about any potential replacements for Golden should he fail assuming BJ is looking

Lur-ker

No, it doesn't work like that. Even the million dollar boosters have zero say in the matter. They'll be politely listened to, but you don't let a guy from the outside run your business, even if he has contributed millions.

People on the BOT may throw names around among themselves, but the process is similar everywhere. Generally a search firm is hired (not always) and a committee is formed with the AD, president, some BOT members, etc. -- A search committee. It goes from there.

Will you endorse Butch lol

CaneRock

Another theatre attack in Nashville, suspect shot & dead. Attacker had gun, hatchet, & pepper spray. Crazy.

laquinton

Is it LOF time ? Who won last year ?

laquinton

Umike is right, we just have bodies. How crazy would it be for Miami to have transfers from UF TO field a solid line. I believe Chad,Quan,Harris, Tyriq and DJ44 would be very good if Miami had 2 solid guys in the middle. For Golden to be a defensive coordinator he doesn't know much about that position.
Fines has college size but he's a freshman.
Hamilton hasn't done squat
Heurtelou either
Jenkins is the best and that ain't saying much
Kamalu is better at DE to me
Moore is just like Hamilton
Norton is just like Fines.

Willis is out. Bostwick may come, along with that kid from LSU right ?

Lur-ker

Basically, if it happens, it will be Bkake's call, with input from a couple of BOTs. Frenk will stay out of it, imo, but hold the AD accountable. Hiring the HFB as we all know, is the one of the most important decisions an AD can make. It can make or break the AD. In some schools the president can be heavily involved, I think at Ohio State during the Tressel years, and after. Like that.

If it was up to me, I would not go after Butch.

My favorite Candidate would be Rex Ryan, his personality mixed with our Ballers would unleash a next apocalypse

Lur-ker

Even if he were a candidate or even possible, he doesn't seem like a guy that will put up with all the recruiting BS, kissing ass at kids and parents, etc. imo, he's an NFL guy, period. Other than the foot fetish stuff, which I wish I didn't know about, I like his toughness but not crazy about his over the top flamboyance. He's a Ryan, so being tough is in his genes.

My hope is we ball out and don't even have to worry about it.

Lur-ker

But the players would probably love his IDGAF attitude.

The Dude

If we're dreaming about NFL coaches, I'll take Pete Carroll.

laquinton

Oh dreaming of coaches ? I love Rex, he's a great guy that will blitz his ass off if he has too

CaneRock

IF &/or when a coaching search happens, UM needs to think out the box also. I'd like to know what made BG hire Urban Meyer...did ya'll know that He was NEVER a coordinator when they hired em'?

CaneRock

Although I think He'll be a HC candidate further down the road, here's an outside the box name for ya'...Joey Porter.

laquinton

No no no. No outside the box hires. Yes yes Bowling Green gave us Urban. But Miami if Golden was fired right now or at the end of the season needs a guy that knows how to coach and develop talent.

laquinton

Baltimore did that with their coach. He was a special teams coach with the Eagles and they hired him over Rex Ryan, guess they really wanted Dallas coach.. but Jerry said no and paid the man

Then we can rule Ray Lewis as a candidate!
