Some things HAVE to be done. This is ONE.

Sota...I GOT THIS.

There is gonna be some HELL to pay until we win our next game by 30 or MORE!

Oregon gets throttled, Missouri gets beat by Kentucky, TAMU needs OT to beat a crappy Arkansas team, Auburn is a train wreck.

Anyone can beat anyone in today's college football.

It's fun.

I think we might hop in the top 25. A lot of top 25 teams lost. Oregon got hammered today....I would think they will drop out?

MISSU, GT, Oregon and BYU will drop out for sure. Think Canes will still be on the outside looking in this week. Michigan will be top 25.

I'd rather have us earning that top 25 spot, which IMO we haven't done at this point.
If we're undefeated after playing FSU, VT and Clemson, we'll be in or close to the top 10, and deservedly so.

I'm saying it's Golden's way. It's what he thinks is the right way. A coach that has real clout plays the best and doesn't have to worry as much because recruits jump through hoops to play for them.

To the best of my knowledge, Coley and Grace is a law firm based in Houston, Texas that specializes in personal injury law and civil litigation.

CaneRock

Barry:

### Most pleasant surprises on this UM football team?

Tackle Sunny Odogwu (has gone from unpolished project to competent starter); the fact Joseph Yearby is running better through contact (his 7.6 per carry average ranks 19th in the country); cornerback Corn Elder’s emergence into a dynamic playmaker (20.3 punt return average ranks 12th nationally and his seven pass breakups are second-most in country); and receiver Tyre Brady’s and tight end Chris Herndon’s evolution.

Disappointments? Start with defensive tackle Michael Wyche, who coaches once thought would be an impact starter but is now on the scout team and can barely get on the field in games.

### Poor crowds have hurt UM with some recruits in recent years, including Georgia’s Sony Michel. And some schools use it against Miami, too. “Wow, is anybody at [the] Miami game?” FSU tight ends coach/recruiting coordinator Tim Brewster tweeted during UM-Nebraska.

CaneRock

More Barry:

### Though an NFC scout said junior cornerback Artie Burns could become a high-round pick, draft analyst Tony Pauline said this next potential UM draft class “is weak, very much so,” with Deon Bush a possible fifth-rounder, Ufomba Kamalu a sixth-rounder, junior Rayshawn Jenkins a seventh-rounder and Tyriq McCord, Raphael Kirby, Calvin Heurtelou, Tracy Howard, [juniors] Jamal Carter and Stacy Coley free agents, Pauline said.

“Tracy Howard draws a variety of opinion,” Pauline said. “Most scouts feel he’s free agent material, something I agree with, though I’ve been told he’s also received a few middle-round grades. Howard offers solid ball skills but poor size/speed numbers which I believe will knock him out of the seven rounds.”

### Smart move by UM and new partner Adidas to change the nameplate font style, beginning with UM's next game. The names were difficult to read on the back of the jerseys.

CaneRock

"Ufomba Kamalu a sixth-rounder, junior Rayshawn Jenkins a seventh-rounder and Tyriq McCord, Raphael Kirby, Calvin Heurtelou, Tracy Howard, [juniors] Jamal Carter and Stacy Coley free agents, Pauline said."

^^^^^^^^ I think McCord has draft potential...Carter & Coley most definitely need to stay in College...Heurtelou can latch on somewhere, He looks better as a 1-Gapper...TH3 has a shot...Kirby?, mehhhhh.

That's great! Miami has led 3 teams that are combined for 6-7 records and almost losing one of those by offering up 24 points in 8 minutes. We are making strides not baby steps people. []_[]

360Cane

Oops. My mistake. 6-6. Golden and Butch Jones can take that conservative play calling else where.

24 point monster comeback and we do victory formation to say here, here's your chance.

4 4th down conversions on the last drive then you say here's the ball back. Bet you can't make it 5 for 5. 4th and 14 to a TD to win!!!

Nice guys finish last for a reason especially in football. Is Saban a nice guy? Nope. Heard he's nicknamed Satan.

Is Meyer a nice guy? Nope. Didn't give a flip about a certain football program and faked health issues to land his dream job. Lost almost all his QBs but dos he make any excuses? Nope. Win the title.

360, in all seriousness, are you watching what's going on all over college football?

Just yesterday Notre Dame was up 21-20 against UMass near halftime. Michigan State led Central Michigan 17-10 in the 4th. Without Fournette LSU likely loses to Syracuse. Auburn, Arizona, Arkansas and Oregon among others are a train wreck.

It's a win and move on game man. Plain and simple. One week's result has nothing to do with the next game played.

We're 3-0 with 4-0 and extra prep time for FSU on the horizon.

USAFCane

From a scheduling perspective, this week off leading to Thursday's game then followed by a 10 day break to the FSU game works out very well.

I'm a cane supporter, not a personal Golden supporter. Golden just happens to be our coach right now. I don't wish Golden ill, in fact, personally, I wish him and his family the best, but, professionally, I could care less about him other than what can he do for us for the remaining of the season. Since he is our coach, I support the team, including the coach, until they are no longer there.

Hope is the only thing we have right now. Nobody can predict the future. If you want me to throw my hands up and say, that's it, we're f---ed, it's not going to happen. You could fast forward 5 games, and we could be 3-8, and I would still have hope for the next game, and hope we would win out. No matter who was coaching.

But there are people out there who I believe love to wallow in misery, and secretly and not so secretly, hope we lose. That's how they're built. I'm not built that way. It's a choice.

Terrance Sullivan

Exactly Lur-ker. My feelings Exactly. I couldn't say it or type it any better.

VA Cane

I tend to agree with you GC....and Al
Davis...just win baby, and stop talking about ifs whats and buts.

That does not mean you forgive and forget....as mistakes are teaching, coaching, development opportunities....and all can learn; AlPa and staffPa included. They have go to know how poorly the last quarter was managed, the TO's were wasted, the intensity went to 0, and their tightness was reflected in the players. You tgo for a kill, not back into a win. So lets learn, fix it and move to Cincy. They are down; QB should not have played and will not....backup is good...got a buddy who's up there...so we need to prepare hard!!!! I see a lot of good things....but 60 minutes of intensity, passion, aggression got to happen....you play to kill not just win!!!!

We have won 66-0, 38-0, 32-0 and 26-12.....we gave up 2 tds by lack of communication and did not execute fundamentals....you know me about that. so 40.5 a game avg vs 4 for opponents...you win a lot of them; but the point is we gave up points....if a team earns it thats one thing....I do not give except to charity!!!!

We have a tough final 4 weeks, and the scores will not be like these...we got 4 tough ones coming; we move onto next Sat and learn from our errors...our...I must be part of the solution.

I do hope the D will pick it up....it was intense at the beginning, but the hitting went away....I love those kill moments....knock receivers out concuss em..hard clean low fast...you got to keep hitting; NoDPa does not seem to understand this concept, he needs to wordship it!

finally I think S Coley is done; fact is he got the PHUCK knocked out of him by Burgess....there is a neat highlight film on him I saw....and that hit is on it.....SC does not have that heart to come back angry....he has gone away with his blankey and bear bear for nap time in the corner....dont count on him...Berrios is a tough kid, we need him back.

VA Cane

It's a choice.

Absolutely and I choose win forever....I hate to lose....and do not want us to lose this year. We are 3-0, not the best competition, but hey look at CFB.....its a crazy train!!!!! Win and keep winning; I want AlPa and guys to win every time out. I may not agree with all that is done, but screw me I am only a voice in the wilderness. Until it changes or if it does, i am all behind AG and Co....MD Art ....all of them. They are doing what they are paid to do right now WIN!!!!!
So lets whip the shit out of Cincy....knock this qb out for them, pound their AZZES!!!!!!!!

We have to come to play hard, relentless, aggressive, angry. Stay on attack on O, D, ST....execute fundamentals be smart....avoid the stupid penalties.....get good win!

What does that say about are defensive coaches that most of the Sr's on defense aren't anything more than potential free agents in next years draft.
If we do indeed lose Burns & Elder also in the draft, what we have left as far as talent and depth is not very good and what we are bringing in, so far is nothing more than average. If we are going to continue this trend, then they need to get rid of DENO, sooner than later and find someone who can develop the DEE-talent.
As far as Golden goes, he is a little above average as a recruiter. No doubt he is tireless, but at the end of the day you are graded on results and he has lost out on 2 many guys, that should be playing here, instead of somewhere else. The closer he is not!

I agree Epi with you both....3-0 means people are doing something right, just keep working and improving, stay aggressive, play to destroy and never be nice.

Go Canes,
Do U see any star power coming in, or any that came in last year? Elder, was highly rated coming in but then again so was Howard.
Look no further than the teams that are constantly at the top of the recruiting heap and you'll why they are up there in the rankings. Being mediocre isn't a good selling point and being poorly coached isn't a desired recipe for success. I hate FSU and they have done less with a whole lot more but just think if we had a couple Jalen Ramsey's back there in our secondary how good we would be but that being said, at the end of the day if you can't rush the passer, it doesn't matter who you have in the secondary, they will get toasted.
I've seen DENO's work for a little over 4 years and I ain't impressed and the sad thing is we do have some talent on that side of the ball.

Except what you just said is not true.

I rarely come to Golden's defense, and I certainly don't come to "Golden's defense about EVERYTHING". I have many issues with our performance and coaching, I just don't dwell on them, because that's already done everywhere, ad nauseam.

I think some people's obsessive and relentless hate alters their reality, and they see people who are are not constantly bitching and moaning as slurp ears, or defenders, when in reality, they're not.

But you think what you want, knock yourself out. I know the truth about my posts. I'm not a Golden "defender" I'm a canes fan that doesn't post Golden hate 24/7, which to you is a "defender"

USAFCane

why do I get the feeling all is not well with the Dolphins?

TonyCane

Dolphins should do what they did in 1991 and trade their first round selection. If you are going to have DeVante Parker on your roster and not use him, why not trade him for another offensive lineman?

Go Canes

I can't believe I spent my hard earned money to sit here and watch this disaster of a team.

TonyCane

I can't believe they drafted a potential superstar player in Devante Parker and use Rishard Matthews instead. I think we need to go back to Dave Wannstedt....we can draft offensive linemen in rounds 1-3 each year, and ultimately have an offense that consists of ten offensive linemen and one really big, beefy "quarterback". All he'll do is do QB sneaks.

But seriously, why draft Parker and not use him? If he's that injured, then put him on the inactive list or IR. If he can play, PLAY HIM.

TonyCane

Philbin is gone.

TonyCane

Sad thing is, Miami will rally to win 5 out of their last 8 and pick around 14. But seriously, this is a horribly run franchise whose run of futility is similar to Green Bay and Tampa Bay in the 70s and 80s, Detroit (always), and Arizona through most of their tenure. It's a poorly run, absurdly managed team. Anyone could have looked at Wannstedt's player personnel moves in Chicago and see that these would not translate to Miami. Or spending a valuable second round draft choice on a wildcat quarterback.

WWIN

Posted by: Lurker | September 27, 2015 at 05:20 PM

I've never heard of any issues that you have with the coaches. But fair enough

I'm not a Golden hater... I hope he can get things turned around for him, the program, the players, and his family. I'm not wishing for him to get fired. But when he does something wrong ima call him on it and I'll also give him his due credit for when he does good, that's just keeping it real. So far I would say he's doing a decent job for 2015

CaneRock

TonyCane...the Dolphins should've hired Todd Bowles when they had the chance. How Philbin was a better candidate than Him at the time...IDK.

VA Cane

Dolphins have been horrible since Marino.....how could you have him as a QB and not build around him a winner? I wish Oakland would have drafted him if he had gone to Oakland they had great talent minus a real qb.....they might have won 3 or 4 SBS....sure he partied in college.....knew good friend of suitemate.....he loved weed and powder.....but who cares? Great great qb. Hated to see him toil in Miami. Al Davis loved renegades ....was too involved in lawsuit vs NFL missed getting Dano.....I know with the talent they had add Marino....scary!

TonyCane

Problem with Miami was their defense started to go south in 1986, just a few years after drafting him. So they spent most of their efforts from 1987-1994 drafting for defense. By the time they tried focusing on upgrading Marinos arsenal they were well into the downside of his career.

USAFCane

Philbin should have been fired 2 seasons ago. The only miami based coach possibly worse than golden. Tied up serious cash in tannehill, tthough I still think he can be good.

As for the Phins hiring Philbin, I was like "who?" kinda like Hocutt hiring Golden. I am so glad they spent so much money fixing the O line and Defense. The phins are playing disjointed. I don't think Tanny is that bad, his O-line has been a sieve since he has been there.

I agree. And the Dolphins would probably be best served by using their first, second, and third round picks next year on their non-existent offensive line. That said, two problems:

1) They have a lot of money tied up already in a non-TD producing position.

2) They've spent A LOT of resources drafting offensive linemen in the last 15 years:

Miami Dolphins offensive Line picks since 2000:
2000: (1) Todd Wade (2nd Rd)
2001: (2) Shawn Draper (6th), Brandon Winey (6th Rd)
2002: (1) Seth McKinney (3rd Rd)
2003: (2) Wade Smith (3rd Rd), Taylor Whitley (3rd Rd)
2004: (3) V Carey (1st) R Hadnot (6th Rd), Pape (7th)
2005: (1) Anthony Alabai (5th Rd)
2006: (1) Joseph Toledo (6th Rd)
2007: (2) Samson Satele (2nd Rd), Drew Mormino (6th)
2008: (3) Jake Long (1st), Murphy (4th), Thomas (6th)
2009: (1) Andrew Gardner (6th)
2010: (1) John Jerry (3rd)
2011: (1) Mike Pouncey (1st)
2012: (1) Jonathan Martin (2nd)
2013: (1) Dallas Thomas (3rd)
2014: (2) Ja'Wuan James (1st), Billy Turner(3rd)
2015: (1) Jamil Douglas (4th)

So in the last five seasons alone, Miami has spent the following on the OL:

1st Round: 2
2nd Round: 1
3rd Round: 3
4th Round: 2

Compare that to the New England Patriots

2000: (2) Adrian Clemm (2nd), Greg Randle (4th)
2001: (2) Matt Lyght (2nd), Kenyatta Jones (4th)
2002: None
2003: (1) Dan Koppen (5th)
2004: None
2005: (2) Logan Mankins (1st Rd), Nick Kazcur (3rd)
2006: (2) Ryan O'Callaghan (5th), Stevenson (6th)
2007: (2) Clint Oldenburg (5th), Mike Elgin (7th Rd)
2008: None
2009: (4) Vollmer (2nd) , Ornberger (4th), Bussey (5th), Ingram (6th)
2010: (2) Ted Larson (6th Rd), Thomas Welch (7th)
2011: (2) Nate Solder (1st Rd), M Cannon (5th)
2012: None
2013: None
2014: Bryan Stork (4th), Cameron Fleming (4th), Jon Halapio (6th)
2015: Tre' Jackson (4th), Shaq Mason (4th)

So in the same time period, New England takes:

1st Round: None
2nd Round: None
3rd Round: None
4th Round: 4
6th Round: 1

I honestly believe any Top 45-50 with a talented offense led by a good QB team can beat any ranked team on a given Saturday.

My Dolphins suck azz because of personel decisions like this...

They traded down to draft a underachieving DT from Oklahoma in the 2nd rd, instead of Denzel Perryman. Even though they needed a LB baaad, DP was the best available and they had already signed Suh.

If that ain't stupid, I don't know what is. Lol

Ok, in all seriousness...

I could really give a rat's you know what about other teams and how they perform week end and week out. The same team never shows up the next week. They either get better, get worse or flop when they should of flipped.

Just win a coastal and I'll shut up. 24 points, 8 minutes. Coaching. []_[]

P.S. Didn't you play the "look around CFB" card last year, too?
