Boom. Our Canes escaped by the hair of our collective chinny chinny chin. Once again had a great time with my Canesspace Family. Mad Props to Soup for his 3rd job as Photographer. U got mad skillz Money!

WWIN

Soup... I think you got a typo

Hurricanes improved to 12-1 against non conference opponents "against" Al Golden???

Lurker

I've been so depressed all weekend.

It sucks so bad being 2-1

ML Alumni1970.

It's 2:30 a.m. and time to get some sleep. I still think GOLDEN needs to go. Too much drama and trauma.
Thanks Tom for all that you do for all of us.Are you still wanting him gone?

VA Cane

Onto prep for next game, would suggest use time wisely to improve in all areas. We are doing some things well, but there are glaring inconsistencies in other fundamental areas. 2 weeks is long time, so hope we focus on addressing these things. Keep at it guys workvhard you can do this.

canezilla

GOOD SEEING U SOUP,GREAT PICS!!! CICNCY IS A PASS HAPPY TEAM,HOPE WE CAN HOLD THEM OFF THE FIRST HALF WITH 2 OF OUR SAFTIES OUT

Go Canes

Biggest mistake we can make is something Tony referenced yesterday. I hope they don't go into a ball control mindset against Cincy in the first half.

Run the aggressive offense we saw against Nebraska, where two very questionable penalties and Kaaya's only real mistake stopped us from dropping 50 on them and winning by the 20 points we should have.

Last season we scored at will on them. Let's not change a thing and let the chips fall where they may with the short handed D.

4-0 on the horizon.

Go Canes!

VA Cane

I was very impressed with Kaaya, he moves when needed, he stands tall in the pocket, and his form is nice. Joe Yearby also impressed me, he is very good. Love his north south attitude, that's how you run it. This reflects positively on the OL. They did a pretty good job, better than I thought they might given they have not had a lot of time together. They lined up too far back a couple times, resulting in penalties, couple holds.....but they did a nice job.

Punting and FG units also did well.....coverage was poor, shit that kid from NU was tough on returns and our open field tackling was bad.

Back to square 1 with this D. There are some issues with line, backers, and dbs...will not bore you or crucify NoDPa....he is a nice man in this position based on misguided loyalty from HC, he just does not know defense. This is truth sorry if you don't agree.

30CINCO

3-0!!!

MALIBU, Calif. – Senior Stephanie Wagner of the University of Miami women’s tennis team defeated two top-20 opponents Saturday at the Oracle/ITA Masters, but that far from her only accomplishment.
Wagner’s first victory of the day at the Malibu Racquet Club made her the eighth player in program history to reach 100 career wins.

Congratulations young lady

If I had to call it right now, I'd say OSU vs ND for the NC, and Ole' Miss & either Baylor or TCU in the POs.

Did I mention how flawed pre-season rankings are?

Go Canes

We may or may not deserve to be in the top 25, but seeing Auburn and Missouri in there is a freaking JOKE

CaneRock

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Agreed Go Canes.

Woohoo.
Miami leads the nation in bench penalties.
We're on track to smash the record.

What did you think about your coach jumping up and down and waving his arms like a sissy girl on the sidelines??? He musta been doing that for the cameras? Lol

VA Cane

3-0 still acceptable, its what you want as bottom line. Got time expand and stress what is working, fix the issues on ST coverage....and D.
Get prepared for next game, learn from mistakes.

Ohio_Cane

The good news is, we don't play until next Thursday, so we have 1.5 weeks to clean this stuff up before going up against a very mediocre Cincy team.

Lurker

WWIN he's not "my coach", he's the coach of my team, the Miami Hurricanes.

Whose your team? Is it the gators? Cause you sure love pimping their coach.

Go Canes

Posted by: Ohio_Cane | September 21, 2015 at 09:36 AM

The one thing this team, coaches and players alike, is the ability to focus and play their best for 60 minutes.

We've started strong and ended strong. Now we have to put those things together consistently.

Go Canes

Players are at least making aggressive mistakes, which is a positive. Coaches are not taking the foot off the gas either.

Just have to get it to where we eliminate the mistakes that go with that aggression.

That's on the coaches.

4-0 then on to Tally.

Waited too long, can't even find a room in the city. May end up being an RV road trip.

And is this even a real post or just an attempt to be funny?

Lurker

Also, I know everyone's upset because we're 2-1 now, but if you get a chance, rewatch the game.

I was there so I missed a lot of these live, but if you rewatch, in addition to ghost calls that brought back 2 touchdowns, watch when Nebraska lined up, how many times they should have been flagged for ineligible receiver (TE lining up on the line), how many times Nebraska held/tackled linemen/pulled down linemen when they were getting beat, and all the other obviously missed calls by the BigTen crew.

Worst officiated game I've ever seen or been a part of.

No wonder we're 2-1

WWIN

And is this even a real post or just an attempt to be funny?

Why is it that you only respond to my post if you consider it to be negative... but if I give you credit or agree with you crickets??? You a hater! If I say something about Golden you'll respond back in 30sec!

VA Cane

Agree GC....
Auburn and Mizzou were bad all game....they are not good.
The aggressive sceme and attack is no option you have to go after people. I thought we went limp dishrag in second half....we got away from aggressive run pass that got us rolling. We have a bad series, and everybody gets scared and curls up in fetal position.....NO!....GO right back at them...start middle finish with a vengence, hit punish hurt do not back down!

Hopefully we learn from it, and get the issues cleaned up....ST coverage tackling.....and a lot of the usual D issues.

As far as calls, fans cry about them. One was a nice hold, the other he might have had him a little, maybe not. You could call it every play.....obvious calls you make. I teach my guys to hold....bump and run guys always do.....I did for years and was great at it. That stuff had nothing to do with the highs and lows on Sat.

Lol! I just keep it 💯 I don't care who's team it is! I don't lie to make anybody look good...not for nobody! You gotta watch what you say...what goes around comes around!

You still haven't answered my question yet that I asked you last week... so who we gon lose to???

I agree!

I really kinda feel bad for Golden... he tried to go for the kill which he never does, although he shoulda went for it on two 4th and 1's, and then it backfired on him...poor guy can't catch a break! I don't think he really did a bad job this time it was just one of those games that seems to always to always doom him... just a lot of bad circumstances lol! After Re watching the game we were guilty of those penalties tho

WWIN

NO ONE.

Posted by: Ohio_Cane | September 21, 2015 at 10:17 AM

EXACTLY! That's what I like to hear!

Why predict YOUR TEAM to lose before the game is even played?

12%

Gin & Tonic (with a twist of lime and what not, hold the chit)

It is always better to have correctable mistakes in a win than in a loss.

The Heat that the team put on themselves in the last 9 minutes of this game should be enough to keep them focused and hungry during this 10 day layoff.

This team better come out on fire against Cincy.

Ohio_Cane

Canes - 45
Cincy - 9

That catch Brady made over the shoulder was GREAT!! When Kaaya threw it, I initially thought there was no way it would be caught, looked like a over throw, but Brady made a great adjustment mid stride and made the play.

CaneRock

Besides STs, that pass rush is gonna have to improve. Yeah Armstrong was elusive, but there were times where He stood in the pocket with ample enough time to throw. We had em' where we wanted em', pinning our ears back, but we let em' off the hook waaaaaay too many times.

CaneRock

And I hope our Safeties can hold up that 1st half againt Cincy, because they spread you out from hell to high water.

Holy shyt! We actually agree!!!!....lol. I have a feeling Golden will tell Coley to be conservative when we have the lead. That's the best game I've seen this offense play! Kudos on Coley's play calling!!!

No need to fear... Dallas Crawford is here!!!

I would like to see Artie Burns play safety tho... I think he's better suited for that!

Hey watch yo mouf!!!

TheeMackJones

" Credit Brad Kaaya, Miami's sophomore quarterback. He made good decisions. He threw some nice passes off play-action. Did a good job of isolating certain matchups. The outside receivers' double moves did plenty of damage.

But Nebraska often made Kaaya look better than he is ( EMPHASIS on THIS statement!! ). " Steven M. Sipple, Journal Star, Hayseed Cornhusker beat writer

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comments like the one above is one of the REASONS, among millions of others, is why I DISPISE those Herbie Cornhusker HAYSEEDS! And that includes the epic Universe's greatest college football fans and their Hayseed Nebraska football hacks!

That Herbie Cornhusker defense made # 15 look like a very good quarterback. SMH in disbelief. In other words, Sipple is cleverly insinuating that Kaaya is average and what not.

By the way, that Nebraska college football PROPAGANDA shill also said the Cornhuskers would defeat the Hurricanes in the 2002 Rose Bowl game. Steve said his beloved Nebraska would defeat Miami, Florida by a touchdown. LMFAO

All in all I have to give Steve a break because he's a graduate of the University of Nebraska and was born and raised in that dull, bland, bleak Herbie Hayseed Netherlands.

thirstybuzzardcane

I am concern about how open the Nebraska receivers were all game. The defensive line did a good job putting some pressure on the QB, but when you have LB's that are slower than molasses it does you no good. We look to slow out there on defense, we need to get faster!!

TheeMackJones

Hurricane defensive line was being HELD on numerous occasions. Especially in the anxiety ridden fourth-quarter. Matter of fact, McCord was held at least THREE times and Kamala was held once. All those HOLDS were on Nebraska TD's.

Again, that bogus, CORRUPT Big 10 was giving Herbie Cornhusker a helping hand and what not in the 4th quarter!!

If Cane fan has access to ESPN3, he can review the game again.

I've never claimed to always be right... everybody makes mistakes... only fools claim to always be right!

But anyways... based on Lur-ker's life philosophy, not mine, you said a person has the choice of being negative or positive on a future outcome so you rather choose to be positive. Right or wrong? I agree with this philosophy! So aren't you contradicting yourself when you predict we'll lose before the game is even played? You have the choice every game to say your team will win or lose...so why not believe YOUR team will win? Or do you predict loses for the sake of trying to be RIGHT???
