LMAO!
Posted by: CaneRock | September 21, 2015 at 02:59 PM
In all my time here I don't think I've ever harped on the officiating. Don't remember Golden ever getting flagged for bitching about it either.
It was lopsided at best, horrific at worst.
Observing and commenting on that is just that, observing and commenting.
The reason I know this to be true is 3-0 requires no excuses. We've played three and won three. Additionally, during that 3-0 we are only one of a handful of teams that hasn't trailed one second of their season.
The 4-0 record we will have after next Thursday will also require nothing but excitement heading into FSU week.
Can't wait.

TheeMackJones, I thought you were referring to that former Alabama quarterback. You are on Hurricanes blog and expect us to wear a #15 jersey because it was the same as a former Crimson Tide quarterback?
You must be out of your mind!

We need to simplify the defense. If your at the game live, there are way too many times where you see the players yelling at one another about their assignments (mostly zone D) they missed! Everyone has to be on the same page or this defense isn't going to work. This defensive scheme is made for NFL players, not college!
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | September 21, 2015 at 03:08 PM
Exactly no excuses.....focus on what needs to be fixed. 3rd down conversions are critical....showing up and playing Defense tends to help one win as well.
I like a lot of things; we stepped up in some areas like the OL I thought might be a problem...punting and FG ST have done well. St coverage, Defense in general.....need work....that D has got to play better.

We got a unsportsmanlike penalty because Golden complained on the roughing the punter call. It was called a 5 yard penalty instead of what it was, a 15 yard penalty and automatic 1st down.
Posted by: 30CINCO | September 21, 2015 at 02:54 PM
If U were there it was CLEARLY A ROUGHING call not a running into call. It was just ONE of 10 calls that went against us. U would expect SOME calls to go against U but 10 in a flipping ROW???

But Charlie ain't going nowhere anyway.

I think Go Canes, Lur-ker, and 30Cinco rolling with me on the 10-11% Ford Mustang 5.0 Orange and Green Drop Top Convertibles with Hooters, Twin Peaks, Tilted Kilt, Cheerleaders and Sensations rolling with us departing from Hurricane Drive on September 5th headed to Sun Life Stadium and throughout the Season at Various Stadiums whether it's FAU Stadium, Doak Campbell Stadium, Nippert Stadium, Wallace Wade Stadium, Keenan Memorial Stadium, and Heinz Field. We rolling to a ACC Coastal title, Bowl Win and a Win total of 10 or 11 wins. Go Canes!

Posted by: Lurker | September 21, 2015 at 09:06 PM
Sounds like a beautiful ride T sully.....if the things we do good improve to 60 minutes of consistency, we get the STs issues of coverage and tackling straight, and our D gets better I think you have a great case. Sure would be nice; one game at a time keep getting better as a team, believe in each other and that each guy will do their job.
Hope guys have good break learn and adjust so we are ready for UC. One game at a time work hard.

3-0! The Canes are the only undefeated team in the ACC Coastal. The Canes have the ACC player of the week! Team loaded with NFL talent. The Canes have depth. Real good chance to go 4-0; FSU looks very beatable! Coaches are learning and developing.
Go Canes!

Remember when WWIN said Elder would've been better on O? Ha!
That boy is a natural defender and is the best evaluation (and position change/assignment) they've EVER had. Not saying he's no good with the ball in his hands, but there's no way DB isn't where he's supposed to be.
Gonna be a 1st or 2nd round DB in the NFL
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | September 21, 2015 at 11:13 PM
Lot of good here Windy.....talent is better....and learning...we really must keep learning and improving our fundamentals...block tackle we must play smart. ..avoid stupid penalties...convert those thirds very very important.....run game, BK12 look good...keep doing what works. ...OL has been pleasant surprise...good job Art...kicking game also pleasant surprise. Get st coverage tackling right get the D playing better...good chance in every game, we can play with our opponents. We must develop these kids, give them big plays dynamic aggressive schemes...play to win! Make adjustments....and lead them where you want them to go. AlPa staffPa got to step up too.
Remember its a team game...everybody contribute we go far!

It's a young team. Strong removed around 9 or so players from the team last year, and is starting six freshmen this year (including two on the o-line). They should make a big leap next year after a full year of strength and conditioning. The QB Heard should do wonders for them next year as they construct the offense around him.
