Are you still wanting him gone?

Posted by: ML Alumni1970. | September 21, 2015 at 02:37 AM

I never wanted him gone. Like everyone I have my doubts and this last game did not exactly help erase them. If he keeps winning this season and beyond I will continue to support him. If not, well then not so much.

WWIN he's not "my coach", he's the coach of my team, the Miami Hurricanes.

Here, let me fix it for you:

WWIN he's not MY coach, he is OUR coach, the coach of OUR team, the Miami Hurricanes.

WWIN...check email.

Every once in a while I'll click on the Twitter profile of a "fire Golden" guy.

Man what a sad and miserable existence.

They take zero joy in any player's success, aren't happy when we win and direct tweet the vilest things imaginable to our coach and former and current players.

I'll never, ever get it.

STRONG ADVICE:

1. Don't click on it.

2. Don't perpetuate the nonsense by talking about it here. Does more harm than good.

Go Canes

Agreed.

A quarter of the season in, so far:

Walton > Scarlett
Walton > Williams
Walton > Powell
Walton > Cronkite

Gin & Tonic (with a twist of lime and what not, hold the chit)

One of my favorite things to do on this blog is to imagine what T-Sully is looking at in all the pics, because he is never looking at the camera.

I know it's probably a girl, or a grill.

Yep, yep, yep and yep!

CaneRock

Watching the game again, we should've scored 50/+ on those suckas.

Kaaya missed an open Yearby on that 3rd drive...and I don't know why we switched out Kaaya for Rosier, Kaaya was hot as hell with His RZ passes, screwed up His flow.

Go Canes

And Yearby = Cook. Maybe better.

He has a higher average per rush and has shown way more in the passing game.

CaneRock

Siiiiiiiigh.

Va Cane

Nice article 3-0 and we move on to UC. I do see improvement, and much more positive team play and good attitudes. I am still suspect of that D....it is not the athletes so much as the philosophy. It is better; did better against the run, but I just am not sold on the leader NoDPa; man has no clue about defending.
But Hey, lets focus on cleaning things up, getting better, healing, focus directly on UC; UN is behind us and is a win. Move forward lets go for 4!!!!

Va Cane

Rosier is a decent player good kid; no way you needed to put him in at all; let him play against the jv teams. If Kaaya is breathing, hes qb. I am not crazy about that rotation crap; you dance with the gal ya brung to da dance!!!!! Rosier is not a pro set guy, not bad qb, but I aint worried about his little feelings....sit and learn....Kaaya is the QB.

5-Star ATH Hardman rates visit 9 out of 10
The wild finish between Miami and Nebraska on Saturday was only part of a positive weekend for Elberton, Georgia, 5-star Mecole Hardman Jr., the nation's top-ranked athlete in the 2016 class.

Hardman took in his first official visit and said he enjoyed his time at Miami, giving the overall experience a "9 out of 10." The Hurricanes are trying to land a player who has had tons of respect for the program since he was a young boy.

"Miami's always been like a dream school to me," Hardman said. "I went there on an unofficial and loved everything about it. I only was able to stay half a day then, but I loved it. It's a place I'm really considering."

Miami helped to set the bar for Hardman, a 5'10", 175-pound athlete with 4.32-second speed in the 40-yard dash and a 40.4-inch vertical. Hardman has two other official visits scheduled—to Ole Miss the weekend of Nov. 20 and to Michigan the weekend of Nov. 27—and he's looking to finalize his last two officials soon.

"With Michigan, I have a lot of confidence in the new coaching staff," Hardman said. "I think there's a big future for them. I'm looking forward to going there and seeing something new. I live in the south, so going to the north is something I'm excited about.

"Ole Miss has been on me hard. All of the coaches check in on me almost every day. I know they've got a great program. I'm looking forward to getting out there soon."

Among the schools that could get one of the two vacant official visit dates, per Hardman: Oregon, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn and Oklahoma.

Hardman said he's far from making a decision but is weighing all of his options carefully. He added that he's open to playing any position, as long as he fits into the right system. Hardman is an electric receiver, but some believe he'll make an even better defensive back at the next level.

Making a final decision, he said, is the hardest part of the process, considering he likes so many schools.

"The hardest thing about it is keeping everybody satisfied," he said. "In the end, you're going to let someone down. The good from it is that you get to see the schools, meet new players and have a good time with fans. It's stressful but fun at the same time."

nemo2002

"Miami's always been like a dream school to me," Hardman said.

That usually means he's not coming here. Right?

CaneRock

LMAO! @ "We must be 3-0".

And where were you when we were 3-0 in 2013?..."taking zero joy in any player's success" would be my guess.

Miami vs Nebraska Highlights 2015 ACC Football EVERY BIG CANES PLAY

I hadnt seen the replay of the hits by Bush and Carter. They look like penalties to me.

Also, I've read about Nebraska's "drops". From the video, the announcer said there was 5 of them. They showed 3 of them were from being hit, were the other 2 real or assisted?

Ohio_Cane

Bush and Carter's penalties were 100% targeting penalties. Did they try to target? I don't think so, but they're penalties, nonetheless.

Nebraska had a few drops and a few forced drops.

Go Canes

You have me mistaken with someone else.

I take joy in EVERY win we have.

j.w.

Carter is out for certain, Bush has an argument. Hoping for the best.

CaneRock

Should've been targeting on the NU player, looked like Carter caught the worse end of that hit to me. And if they could call targeting on offensive players, guys like Earl Campbell & Craig "Ironhead" Heyward would've barely played a down in College.

Ohio_Cane

-------------------------------------

There is no argument to be made. They review those up in the booth carefully and the call from there is final. They're both out for the 1st half next week.

Go Canes

Our secondary was STICKING after the catch on Saturday.

They forced a lot of drops.

CaneRock

Ohio_Cane, per the NCAA rule book..."If a player is disqualified in the second half, the conference has the option
to consult the national coordinator of football officials who would then
facilitate a video review. Based on the review, if the national coordinator
concludes that the player should not have been disqualified, the conference
may vacate the suspension. If the national coordinator supports the
disqualification, the suspension for the next game will remain."

CaneRock

^^^^^^^^^^^^ Ohio_Cane...NM, that's for games where IR is NOT used.

Go Canes

It was already decided there would be no review and the suspensions will happen.

There is an appeal process. One of our beat writers mentioned on twitter that he wouldn't be surprised if the ACC overturned it.

Go Canes

It was already announced no action would be taken. They are 100% out.

GO CANEZ,

Damm it feels great to be 3-0

30CINCO

This really surprised me, 17 in 60 yrs!?!?!:

@ByTimReynolds: 8. 3-0 Miami starts, last 60 seasons: 2015, '13, '04, '03, '02, '01, 1996, '93, '92, '91, '89, '88, '87, '86, '80, '62, '56. (17 in 60 yrs?)

Go Canes

Only the fourth time in 20 years.

That's unbelievable.

herbieibis

The problem in the red zone is the play calling freezes up and they become to vanilla. personally I'd like to see them go for the endzone on first down, at least take a shot.

#CreampuffScheduling

CaneRock

Herb...with the exception of subbing Rosier for Kaaya, and that INT that Kaaya threw, I thought the play-calling in the RZ was pretty good. On the 1 yd. line it's time to run...from the 5 yd. line out, your short to intermediate passing game is there.

herbieibis

Gotcha CaneRock but we aren't to swift picking up one yd, with these smaller backs, trying to run inside.

But do you know the reason why he put "He Hate Me" on the back of his jersey???

Posted by: WWIN | September 22, 2015 at 01:49 AM

You was suppose to say "no, why?" Lol

Well the answer is... because "They Hate Me" wouldn't fit!!! LMAO

thirstybuzzardcane

Looks likes Miami is changing to font on their jerseys.....It will be block lettering. I'm glad they're doing that, I wasn't a big fan of they had.

j.w.

Herbie, CaneRock- not sure if it's the play calling, personnel used, or just lack of talent that causes our red zone woes. What we know: 1)Yearby and Walton haven't been able to pound it into the end zone against a stacked front; 2) we haven't been able to complete passes consistently either near the end zone (same issue as with 3rd downs?) What we don't know: 1) If we spread teams out with 4 wide will we have better success running up the middle? 2) Could Gray be the better option in these situations? 3) Now that we know the TE's can make plays, will Coley trust Kaaya's ability to execute a play-action pass near the end zone?
My personal opinion is that it's time to use Gray more near the goal line, If nothing else, he's bigger and harder to take down, requiring more attention from a safety.
