4-0 and we will be in the Top 25, 5-0 and we will be in the top 12-15 with Kaaya becoming a household name.
Not worried about our ranking now as much as I marvel at the ineptitude and outright bias towards a certain conference that's shown when they are released.

Just think guys, it's nice not to be in the same boat as the Dolphins! I'll take 3-0 over 1-2 anyday. I think some heads need to roll with this Dolphins organization.

The Fish are a hot mess. The pain and agony was supposed to end for them and their fans (me included) this year. instead it has only intensified X 10. Philbin must go!
Posted by: 86Cane | September 28, 2015 at 09:33 AM
With the way they ended last season, the total collapse down the stretch two seasons ago and back to back embarrassing (and that is a massive understatement) losses, I honestly can't believe I woke up to find Philbin is still employed today.

Now in their 97th season of professional football (their 95th in the National Football League), the Green Bay Packers are a team and an organization unique in both structure and accomplishment. They represent – from an organizational standpoint – the only publicly owned franchise in the 32-team NFL. On the field, they have won more world championships – 13 – than any other team in the league’s history.
Green Bay Packers, Inc., was founded as a nonprofit corporation in 1922 under the leadership of A.B. Turnbull, then-publisher of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, who became the organization’s first president. There are 5,011,558 shares of stock owned by 360,760 stockholders. The corporation is governed by a seven-member executive committee, elected from a board of directors. The committee directs corporate management, approves major capital expenditures, establishes broad policy and monitors management’s performance in conducting the business and affairs of the corporation.

For the second straight year the Miami Dolphins opened the season 1-2. Sunday's 41-14 blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills at home was particularly disheartening following an offseason of optimism.
Coach Joe Philbin took ownership of his team's lackluster start to the season and rudderless performance in the home opener.
Every game, all season
"It's my responsibility to get this team to reach its potential," he said following the loss. "This was not a good performance. I take responsibility. As a team, players and coaches, we have to do a better job and it starts with me. It's really simple. We got two ways to go. We can start saying, you're the problem, I'm the problem, he's the problem, we're the problem, or we work together and come up with some solutions and play better football. That's really where we are as a team."
After splashy offseason signings of Ndamukong Suh and a remade passing corps thad many believing the Dolphins could compete for the AFC East crown, Philbin's team has fallen flat on its face. Miami has done almost nothing positive through three weeks. The Dolphins are one Jarvis Landry punt return touchdown away from being 0-3.
"It's the third game of the season, and I wish we were playing better, but we are what we are right now," Philbin said. "There's no magic potion. If I had a magic potion, I would have brought it out early. Going into the game, we were fifth in the NFL in scoring defense. Obviously, we're not going to be that coming out of the game."

Interesting thing with Cincy, for as much as they pass the ball, their TOP is actually higher than GT.
Also, they're good at stopping what we suck at...3rd downs.

If this kid plays and takes another hard hit to the head, Tuberville should be fired on the spot:

No, 4-0 against this schedule won't get us ranked. 5-0 would, but the perception of FSU being weaker than normal won't get us in the 1015. I'd say we would land around 17-19 if we win both.

360- you're more patient than me. Golden's been a HC for more than 10 years now, he is what he is at this point.

Once again, U prove that you don't KNOW what you speak of, because their are SEVERAL one-loss teams ranked AHEAD of Miami, Florida. That includes squads in the Receiving Votes category.
For instance, Arizona was thumped at home Saturday past. Yet in both polls they received MORE VOTES than the Canes. Go figure. Of course, Wildcat head coach Richie R has that ' IT FACTOR, ' which Golden lacks and what not.
The bottom line is Miami no longer has the respect of either the college football media-nexus or the coaches!! And that's why the Hurricanes don't deserved to be ranked in the Top 25, yet. Even though they remain undefeated.
Posted by: TheeMackJones | September 28, 2015 at 12:29 PM
You'all bUbba's read it here first!
Miami, Florida vs. FSU will be a SATURDAY NIGHT national televised game. Be it on ABC/ESPN or ESPN-2. Especially after my Hurricanes defeat lowly Cincinnati on Thursday night!!

Don't you ever get tired of speaking nonsense? Or do you do it on purpose and tmj is just a made up character you've created?
Where did I say we should be ranked now? Was it when I said I don't worry about where we're ranked right now?

Major college football is a game of CONTACT and nastiness!! And Gunther ' Gunner ' Kiel knew that when he signed on the dotted-line.
Again, it's obvious U never played the game at a significant level. Be that at the high school level or junior college or Division III up to the FBS level.
I'm guessing your game is golf or tennis or maybe pumper pool. LOL

U mean to tell me a 4-0 Miami vs a 4(5?)-0 FSU won't be a NOON game???
And what not.

Words of Golden truth. No pun intended.
In major thorough bred racing there's a term called PAST PERFORMANCE and colts/fillies tend to run according to their past performance.
And with Golden, he's been coaching the way he's been coaching the past four seasons plus at Miami.
In other words, in marquee games he coaches NOT TO LOSE and in other games he doesn't have his team PUT THE OPPONENT away!! And the second-half of the Nebraska game was a trademark example of Golden as head coach. He didn't put away Nebraska in the third-quarter and he didn't use the clock as an ALLIE late in the third-quarter or fourth-quarter.
Posted by: TheeMackJones | September 28, 2015 at 12:48 PM
Charles Perry and/or James King are gonna have to step up big this week with Gayot out indefinitely and Owens out for the year. We'll see how they do vs Cincy.
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | September 28, 2015 at 12:52 PM
One time, JUST ONE TIME, can a head, ANY HEAD COACH, who's playing a mediocre team just come out to the media and say, "What do I see? They're awful. We're gonna roll them. Won't even be close."

Posted by: Go Canes | September 28, 2015 at 12:55 PM
TMJ, just stop. Kiel shouldn't play and if that needs to be explained in further detail why, then YOU just don't get it. Look I know GO can be a bit like the little brother that pokes and prods to get you to hit him in front of mom so you look stupid and get in trouble, but you're just outright denying facts sometimes when talking to him. Kiel is gonna get kielled(see what I did there) if Tubberville is dumb enough to play him again. He shouldn't have played that last game after coming off the concussion. It's a new age of football my friend whether we like it or not.
Posted by: Canezitis | September 28, 2015 at 12:55 PM
It's possible the Miami vs. FSU game could be televised in the 3:30 EST slot. Simply because their could be several games, on October 10, between Top 15 or Top 10 teams. So those games could get the ABC/ESPN/ESPN-2 Saturday night slots.
I'm guessing it will depend on the suits at ABC/ESPN and if the feel that Miami, Florida is WORTHY of being slated for a Saturday prime time slot. Of course, mighty FSU already has the respect and ' street cred ' and what not, of ABC/ESPN.
For example, in years gone bye Miami vs Herbie Cornhusker would've been televised on Saturday night. But Nebraska had lost one game and Miami has lost the Orange and Green LUSTER and what not.
Posted by: TheeMackJones | September 28, 2015 at 12:58 PM
To me, it sounds like Tubbervbille is playing the game with this one, he has already made up his mind on Kiel, he doesn't want to give us any advance notice on who is starting. I'd be stunned if Kiel does play in this one, way too risky in this day and age.
Ohio- agree, would be nice to hear something other than coach speak occasionally.

I know you. Your a visitor from the Cane blog, which that Sorority WITCH runs.
By the way, did it ever occur to you that Gunther Kiel WANTED to play and he pleaded with Tubbervile to play him.
By the way, is it possible that YOUR BOY Golden brought back Stacy too quickly. Especially with those troublesome hamstring injuries.

Again, NOBODY in this forum knows what line of communication took place among Tubberville, Gunther Kiel and the team physicians!!
So I'm guessing that Kiel wanted to play and told his coach and the team doctors, that he was with sound mind and body.

Posted by: raizecane | September 28, 2015 at 01:40 PM
I SEE-r Kaaya passing for over 300 yards and Yearby running for over 150 yards.
Seeing that Cincinnati's defense is somewhat suspect, it would behoove Golden and Coley to run the ball more than Miami has in previous games and thus burn clock. This tactic will also help out the Hurricane defensive unit. Because the Bear Kats generally have at least ' 95 ' plays on offense. Ouch.
Key to the game. FIRST TEAM to break the 30 point barrier wins the game.

An excellent post, if this was last week.
You know, before the kid was knocked out cold and was taken off on a stretcher, after taking a huge blow to the head the week before.
Maybe he'll try the pretty, pretty please approach for our game and they'll let him play. After all, what harm can three concussions in three weeks do?
