Miami Player Postgame Quotes
Michael Badgley, K/P
On the win…“It’s a big win, but I’ve always said to myself ‘take this win with a 24-hour rule. Celebrate as much as you want and then on to the next.’ We’ve got a bye week coming up and it’s time to focus on Cincinnati. Have this great win, see your mistakes and continue to be great out there. Everything is going to happen. It’s going to be fun.”
On Head Coach Al Golden giving him the game winning kick…“Him and I go back and fourth all the time. Obviously I’ll defend that guy to the world and back. He’s the greatest coach in college football and there is no question about it.”
Corn Elder, DB
On interception in overtime…“I didn’t have a receiver to my side, so I was basically just playing the field. I see them scramble and I just took off deep. He threw it and it just came right to me.”
On his performance since he has been focusing only on football instead of basketball and football…
“Just focusing on football I’ve gotten stronger, faster and my technique has gotten better.”
Artie Burns, DB
On what changed in the fourth quarter when Nebraska was making a comeback…“We just weren’t doing our job. Guys were out of coverage, not in their gap, so they were making explosive plays. That’s why you come to meetings the next day to get everything corrected.”
On losing Jamal Carter and Deon Bush for the first half of the next game…“You won’t see a drop off. I feel like we have one of the best secondaries. We’ve got Rayshawn Jenkins and Dallas Crawford back there. We’ve got Jaquan Johnson, he’s going to step up and be able to come in the game and make some plays.”
Rashawn Scott, WR
On finally being able to play…“It feels great now that the coaches could put me in the situation. I have a great quarterback to throw it to me. The receivers are doing their jobs. It feels good.”
On when Nebraska caught up…“I’m not disappointed because it’s adversity. I don’t really care because we won.”

Agreed Ohio_Cane, Dunn is a standup dude. In an age where athletes like showing off their car, shoe, & jewlery collections, these guys are making real impacts...wish more athletes would follow their lead.

Much ado about nothing!!
Chit, MARQUEE high school players been offered this and that since college football became modern.
Chit, programs such as NEBRASKA, Boomer Sooner, Texas, Ohio St., Michigan and the ENTIRE SEC have played that game for the past four decades, for instance. As well as a host of other major college football programs.
And if U don't believe the latter dense, simplistic generalizations. Then you're simply GULLIBLE and or naïve!!

Rock Yes a big difference. It was loud and it was only 50 thousand there if it was capacity at 65 thousand it would have really been extremely loud and been even more pronounced on Television.
Posted by: Terrance Sullivan | September 24, 2015 at 05:50 PM
I second what TS said - night and day on the difference and wait until they put the roof up, they said that was going to even make it more loud
Posted by: Lur-ker | September 24, 2015 at 05:55 PM
Lur-ker Yes Sir.
Posted by: Terrance Sullivan | September 24, 2015 at 06:11 PM
I'm in row 11. Last year row 1 was 2 seats behind me.
You can definitely hear the difference.
Posted by: Go Canes | September 24, 2015 at 06:26 PM
I didn't notice a difference in the noise......The C-A-N-E-S was pretty week all game, although I was in the middle of Nebraska fans. Now if u think its louder now, just wait till the roof goes on next year.

This is just talk most likely, but I was around a couple of people here in Austin and they were speaking of the prices paid for certain athletes. They were quoting high $100k to low $200k for kids that Texas, Texas Tech, and A&M are bidding for.
A UT alumni at work told me that they way the Longhorn players were compensated was through dry cleaning. They would bring their clothes in and when they picked them up, monetary compensation would be inside the pockets. Again, just hearsay from people. But interesting.

There is NO way this kid lines up next Thursday after this brutal hit. Too bad for him and us. Always want the other team's best.
@YahooDrSaturday: Gunner Kiel was the victim of a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit. He was not moving. https://t.co/JIA3aphwg2
Posted by: Go Canes | September 24, 2015 at 09:12 PM
TC,
Another way is athletes get jobs at car dealerships in football towns. The rich donators bring the car in for oil change service etc....and when done it is driven down to isolated building where it is washed and detailed. While cleaning washing vacuuming etc....the athlete "cleans the glovebox". What ya think is in the box? No candy baby...lol! Wonder why I know that? LOL!

LOL this blog is Golden.

I watched the cinch game:
Cindy put up over 700 yards of offense. But not so fast my friends. Memphis defense is worse than FAU's 4th string defense. They were abysmal. Their DBs have no business playing football. Their DC read D'No's book of defense: going against an accurate passing freshman with big arm, he brought very little pressure to startle him. When he brought pressure the kid made bad throws/over throws. Also, cincy had 0 yards rushing. I think they canceled the running back position after this game. There seemed to be no need for it.
Our DBs are our strength and I predict 5 interceptions for us.
Posted by: AfriCane | September 25, 2015 at 12:44 AM
Also, cincy's moral is fucked now with 2 straight loses. Plus they haven't seen atheletes like us. Cincy players were falling like flies today against a sheety defense. And we hit hard. Ask Marques gayot.
