I think I'm more depressed today than I was last night.
After the initial outburst by Cincy we adjust at half time and hold them to punt after punt after punt after punt and we once again don't do a damn thing offensively.
They were dying to give us the game, dying to, and we did nothing but shoot ourselves in the foot with bad to terrible play calling, stupid penalties and boneheaded clock management.
That directly reflects on this coaching staff.
It was disgraceful to watch this team march up and down the field only to watch them implode in the red zone time after freaking time.
How do you score 3 points in a second half yet again? Especially against that D? It's like last season all over again. D gets there shit together, keeps us in the game in the second half and we can't score a single touchdown??
It sickens me to think of starting all over again with yet another coach, more recruiting upheaval, more negativity surrounding our program and another set of years of uncertainty.
But these Groundhog day games just cannot continue. Practically getting shut out in the second halves of every big game, gigantic, game changing penalties taking points off the board. What is it 4 Tds in two weeks wiped off the board by penalties, albeit questionable ones?
Really think Cincy is the best offensive team we will play all season. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if we went up and beat FSU next Saturday.
But unfortunately, this coach and his staff have shown way too many times they cannot close out games.
That at the end is what's going to cost all of them their jobs.
I agree, but think you're comments regarding the D are generous. They played a good quarter. But when the game was on the line D'no reverted back to his weak base.
It's so hard to accurately judge the talent when they're coached like the canes are, but my hope is that we have enough talent that the rebuild won't be to disruptive.
For the longest time I felt they needed players that fit the scheme. Not after this season. They have enough and to watch these coaches set these players up for failure is enough. Career days for opposing teams and it's time for the process to end.
Time for new hope. []_[]

The day I went to the darkside but how foolish was I. Al is the chancellor that's really the emperor as he takes down the republic []_[].
Maybe Epi, but the fact remains they shut them out for the entire third and the first 12 minutes of the 4th.
Not defending the D, it was abysmal in the first half, especially at safety.
But that Cincy team is going to score a lot of points this year and we held them down enough to give this team a chance to win.
But yet again we crapped the bed offensively. Three points against that D?
Three??
Makes me ill to even think about it again.
If they don't turn this thing completely around, and i doubt they can because they cannot score in the second half of any big game, Golden will look back at his time here and have to point to that as the reason he's unemployed.
Football is an offensive game now, plain and simple. And we have playmakers everywhere.
Yet the result is three points in the final 30 yet again.
This comment is utterly full of it. How long did it take Meyer at OSU. Make a national attention grabbing coach and we don't skip a beat. Crying in your cereal today Go?
"It sickens me to think of starting all over again with yet another coach, more recruiting upheaval, more negativity surrounding our program and another set of years of uncertainty."
This team is going to give up on its coaches yet again this year. They're not fools. They talk with pros. They can analyze tape, question the play calling just as much as we do. They just nip their lip cause they want to play. []_[]
The ones that don't nip their lip? Suspended for team violations. Not being a team player. If I played for Al, I wouldn't want to go down with his ship either. Guy lines me 100 yards off the ball for freaks sake.
Temple, Memphis. ...and almost Miami of OH....let that sink in for a moment. ...this has to be the biggest waste of talent. ...and lackluster group of Canes product put on the field in quite some time.
DON'T understand the play calling at all? ????
Who...not even Pop Warner or PAL runs short yardage runs from shotgun. ...is there no QB SNEAK FOR A 6'4" QB? SHAMEFUL.
Some of you are missing the point regarding recruiting - a new coach will keep the guys he wants and get his own - the ones that were coming here NOT because we are the U, but because of golden, are welcome to follow him to his next gig (lol)
Kehoe, Harris RB coach, Beard WR coach can stay. ..the OCEAN Coley horrible. ...Dno...words cannot express. ..Golden should be leading a sales team in corporate America. ..not coaching my beloved CANES!!!!!

LOL - not a big K. Rogers fan, but his song titles tell the whole Al Golden story:
The Gambler -- What works at Temple might work at the U
Every Time Two Fools Collide -- I'm bringing D'No with me
Coward of the County -- Let's play prevent D and dial it back on O once we are in front
Till I Can Make It on My Own -- As long as they fill my bank account, I'll stay
I disagree. The ones that have followed the Canes to this day are way too resilient to let that happen. The weak ones went overboard years ago when KSU beat us by 39, ND by 38 or Duke by 18.

Al has Miami looking like a descent .. not good.. but descent mid-major.
I am to the point where I say screw the swag 16 .. and the Dolo 17 and fire him now.
His in game management has not improved, and after 5 years, why would admin think it will change next year?
Hopefully, with the resent donations and Adidas money, Miami to sever and move on.

Meyer is maybe the best coach in college football and he took over an absolutely loaded team.
We will not be hiring an Urban Meyer or anyone close to his coaching pedigree.

Burn it down and hopefully some good recruits survive the fire.
