It now looks like most, if not all, of the current UM coaches will be looking for new jobs after leaving Coral Gables. We like that. Yes, we like that a lot!
Time for a clean sweep of the program and some new blood and new ideas to promote change. And trust me, change is needed in the worst of ways.
Let's Go Canes!
It's a new dawn, it's a new day...
And I'm feeling good.
Go Canes!!!

The number one problem for UM footballers and indeed Miami football players is indiscipline. It is a big problem. Their gift is their skill. Their downfall is their lack of discipline. It is evident from the way they play and the number of penalties they commit. If u compare them to animals, they would be velociraptors; deadly but disorganized. That's y strong coaching is needed.

The cliches like it's all on me, i take full responsability and trust the process plus vanilla post game interviews are over. Reporters beware Mark Richt doesn't like stupid questions...

3 ways to get beat as a D-lineman 1. Late off the ball 2. Too high (give up your chest) 3. Your TOO DOWN THE CENTER of a guy Kool
The third one was what Al taught our d linemen...

And for all u singing kumbaya about the 'richt reich' I surely hope u r right. I want u to be right. I want him to succeed. I've been thru much with this team to join 'the chorus line.' I'm totally taking the 'show me somet'ng' attitude.
Or simply put; 'I ain't saying shit, till I see shit.'
Good luck to all.

Love the clean sweep! This program needs a new infusion of attitude spirit and ideas. Out with the old. There may be some decent coaches ousted, but they're tainted by association. Plus, the staff is as much a team as the players. HC needs "his guys" that are all on board with his plan. There's nothing to be lost by replacing the staff and great upside if it all comes together.
No surprise the team played like it did yesterday. Disappointing yes, but not surprising. Dog can't change his fleas overnight...same crap, different day.
How do we know Velociraptors were disorganized?...

A source has told the Miami Herald today that Beard’s retention of the position under Richt is still possible. I Hope he stays.

It is indeed a great day to be a Hurricane. Mark cleaning house and putting together an awesome staff. I am so pumped to what is happening with Cane's football. So glad that the U didn't chop Golden's head last year cuz I doubt we would have found a competent coach and staff as we have now. Good things to come for sure, the program and fan's alike have suffered enough. We have weathered the storm! Let's celebrate for a new era in Cane's football is upon us!

Velociraptors?! Can we call the new coach Indominus Richt?

Blog has me laughing.
Loving that Mark is gone. I can see a role for JC, but we'll see.

A quick way For Coach Mark Richt to get on my bad side is to keep that 5 Star Assclown James Coley. Only a Fool would keep this 5 Star Assclown around. Bye Felicia!

I know I shouldn't go counting my chickens, but I am SOOO happy that was the last time I will have to sit trough a game like that where Im screaming at the tv and losing my dam mind!
I said months ago we needed to use Berrios more. if you look at his HS tapes you will see he housed A LOT of jet sweeps and pitches etc.
Also, I really hope something is done with these ACC refs. That call on the reverse was pathetic.
Again, just glad (hopefully) that was the last time I had to see that fuckery they called coaching.
Posted by: UMike | December 28, 2015 at 07:12 AM
Would if be safe to say that since we got a DL coach (supposedly) that Richt must know who the DC will be? Is it not odd for a DL coach to be hired before a DC, or is that common?

We need one of these for the football program:

Umike... I would think so. Why would a respected DL coach who could go anywhere take a job without knowing who his boss would be?
Posted by: 1mg of Epi | December 28, 2015 at 08:06 AM
If that is the case, then that guy is still coaching somewhere.
Posted by: UMike | December 28, 2015 at 08:10 AM
UMike ......Also, I really hope something is done with these ACC refs. That call on the reverse was pathetic......
I believe that between my tears I heard the announcers say that the refs were a big ten
crew.

Feel bad for Scott. Just saw he had 5 for 75 in the game. Hold on to those drops and he has a monster final game to end his career and hopefully get him longer looks by the pros.
Instead he was a major factor in another disappointing loss and had an embarrassing last day with us.
Posted by: Go Canes | December 28, 2015 at 08:14 AM
fran, I didn't even think of that with it being a bowl game. My bad, but still throughout the year the ACC refs have been horrible. Not surprising another crew would try to rob us, but with our bonehead plays and "coach" Coley the refs didnt have to do to much, we just did it ourselves.
Posted by: UMike | December 28, 2015 at 08:16 AM
Go Canes...I kinda agree with you. But IMO he redeemed himself and made some touch catches in the snow and made a great block. He showed a lot imo. He focused and kept his head in the game and help us get into position to win. Then there was that fumble and some guy calling himself a OC.
Posted by: UMike | December 28, 2015 at 08:18 AM

Gotta think so.

It seems that every coach on the defensive side will not be retained. It appears Scott may be retained and perhaps Beard on the offensive side where Richt will orchestrate things. Keeping 1-2 coaches will also help with the transition and retaining recruits and current players. Transfers are oftentimes just as common as decommitments after a coaching change. Who knows, keeping Beard and Scott might also help convince Stacey Coley to stay another year, ball out under Richt and raise his NFL draft stock

Check out all the blowback from the Duke/Indiana game... Duke wins on a bad call and now everybody is calling for them to forfeit the W.
Posted by: 1mg of Epi | December 28, 2015 at 08:30 AM
Went to Dolphins game yesterday and saw Frank Gore ball out. Seven Canes were on both rosters for that game. Miller, Fox and Vernon for the Dolphins, and Gore, Dorsett, Steve Morris and Andre Johnson for the Colts. Amazing!

It's actually pretty well-known that velociraptors were very organized and hunted in packs when needed to out-smart their prey.
I still like his analogy lol
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | December 28, 2015 at 08:58 AM
Looked that way to me too Mike. And to everybody else.
Yea triangle. They're definitely going to do the right thing and forfeit. Just like ESPN and swofford have been screaming for them to do.

How does Paul Williams get the same position at another school? Outside of maybe DE's, our secondary has had the most talent pass through under Golden but it doesnt show. JR's and SR's STILL dont know to get their heads around. SMH

IMO, there's no way a DL coach, specifically one as seasoned as Coach Kool, would take a job like this unless he knew who the DC was and what scheme they were running.
I mean, listen to this guy. "Chop, rip, get up field" and "You're too much in the center of the guy". He would've ruined D'No's amazing D scheme.

I Don't Understand for the Life of Me Why People are Always beating up Paul Williams Knowing it's the Scheme. Go br Fans of Treon Harris and The Gators. Also stop Beating up on Recruits that Don't want to be Canes, We should be use to it. Our Mantra has Always Been, Win and They will Come. We've been Sucking. Good Morning.
Posted by: Coolmac758 | December 28, 2015 at 09:15 AM
I don't beat on Williams. I don't think he's done nearly as bad a job here as others do.
His first couple of years here he had absolutely nothing to work with and his good players continued to develop from day one and they've done a great job of getting takeaways.
Where they lined up wasn't his call imo.

Posted by: UMike | December 28, 2015 at 09:22 AM
Go Canes, no doubt Williams suffered some under D'No, but some stuff is pure coaching, like getting your head around. We should of had one of the top secondarys in the ACC IMO.

As Far as Talent what Player do we have Besides Kaaya that could get in the 3 Deep on Our 2001 Championship Team. That's How Far We Are. Example Runningback. Our present Running backs couldn't beat out Jarrett Payton.

I could be way off, but it is possible that our best RB is listed as 3rd on the depth chart. I think the OL and run game improve under Richt.
Posted by: UMike | December 28, 2015 at 09:27 AM
UMIKE Good Point, but why beat up Paul Williams when We Run that basic High School Scheme. Shaun Taylor or Ed Reed wouldn't Prosper in our current Scheme. We have a Long way to Go.
