But if you're not getting bodies in the building, the experience isn't helping. If our basketball team played at American Airlines Arena I have no doubt the fan experience would be better, but we wouldn't have 7,000 a game.

Canes winning by 9 at the half but not playing their best. Tonye Jekiri was injured, left the game for the locker room and has not returned. Coach L got on Angel, and he responded with 10 points. I wonder why Lawrence hasn't played, especially with Jekiri out.
Go Canes!

Was at the game. Great time. Yea there should have been more white shirts, but they only gave people like 2 days advance notice + not everyone got the word. Great crowd, though, with a few hundred turds sprinkled in.
It always amazes me the incredibly arrogant attitude of those bloated lizards, even when they're visitors. Someone in my group got a lot of grief from a nearby blue shirt for saying latergater (no curse words, just mild banter from the cane) as the gates left, disappointed. When assault, being pelted with objects, having drinks thrown, and generally racist hate insults are par for the course for the few canes that go to their games in the swamp or O'Donnell. That's their typical response to us.
Keep it classy, turds

Solid win by the Canes over the turds. Coach L and his Hurricanes look like an NCAA tournament team to me. Also Coach Richt has brought optimism back to the football program and Coach Morris and the Baseball team should be good again this season....It's great to be a Miami Hurricane!

State of the U:
Rashawn Scott and Deon Bush to the East-West Shrine Game is big for them. Get to work with NFL coaches. Can really move up draft boards.

Saw this over at CIS thought it was great...
The first issue we need to fix is that extremely flamboyant, ridiculous, sissified, arm-locking, butt-shaking, up-north big 10 type, bullshiite azz 'first kick-off of the game' ritual. Finished before we even start as soon as the opponent sees this.
Posted by: UMike | December 09, 2015 at 08:45 AM
I think Scott, Bush, Waters, Hertolou, Kamalu are the seniors that will get drafted.

For some (most?) if they have nothing to bytche about they have nothing to say. It is the way of the world, and the blog.
It is why Trump is so popular, he gives EVERYBODY something to complain about which is why he gets ALL the attention.
Posted by: SOUP | December 09, 2015 at 09:35 AM
I get the biblical reference to the Book of Mark in the Mark 20:16 T shirt. Unfortunately it does not technically work in that the Book of Mark ends at CH 16, Verse 20.
The earliest complete manuscripts of Mark – Sinaiticus, Vaticanus, and, with gaps, Alexandrinus – date from the 4th century.[25] These end at Mark 16:8, with the women fleeing in fear from the empty tomb: the majority of recent scholars believe this to be the original ending,[26] and this is supported by statements from the early Church Fathers Eusebius and Jerome.[25] Two attempts were made to provide a more satisfactory conclusion.[27] A minority of later manuscripts have what is called the "shorter ending", an addition to Mark 16:8 telling how the women told "those around Peter" all that the angel had commanded and how the message of eternal life (or "proclamation of eternal salvation") was then sent out by Jesus himself.[27] This addition differs from the rest of Mark both in style and in its understanding of Jesus.[27] The overwhelming majority of manuscripts have the "longer ending", Mark 16:9–20, with accounts of the resurrected Jesus, the commissioning of the disciples to proclaim the gospel, and Christ's ascension.[25] This ending was possibly written in the early 2nd century and added later in the same century.[27]

Shaq's In Home Visit
Had the pleasure of meeting up with Mark Richt again when he stopped by for an in home visit. Actually the visit started at Shaq's High School. Coach Richt and Coach Brown stop by Oakleaf where he was met with the familiar excitement from students, teachers and administrators. We sat down with Shaq's Head Coach in a conference room and talked for about 5 minutes at a time because of the constant interruptions of teach and administrators wanting to drop in and a take picture... but we really didn't mind the interruptions actually enjoyed watching the excitement of those getting a chance to shake hands and take pictures. For the most part it was mostly small talk but I did ask if he had a defense of scheme in mind 3-4 or 4-3 for UM and he was uncertain and stated it would hinge mainly on his D-Coord, but what he was certain of it will be a defense that will play down hill, getting after it. He said he has ran both defenses successfully and found flaws in both. IMO I think the next DC will decide and have a significant amount of control over the D while he concentrate on the offense of side of the ball.
He did go to the board and show us some of the Ds he has ran in the past and pointed their similarities in alignment and differences in assignment... He is right... you could be what appears to be a 4-3, then stand the Rush End up and call him an OLB with the same responsibilities and many will argue that you are now in a 3-4... I guess we will have to wait and see... He left Oakleaf HS to go over to Trininity to see another kid and stop by our home a few hours later. We sat and had more small talk and enjoyed some of his personal stories of old, while he was a student at Miami... with the purpose of pointing out to Shaq that he is about to embark on some of the best memories he will have... and he is about to meet friends that he will have forever.
After about an hour and meeting some friends of the family that has to be the biggest Richt fans ever, we went out to dinner and met up with Mike Pinckney and his parents. It was a good time. Our family and the Pinkney's family are already forming a bond... We all will hang out again this weekend down in Miami... Pinkney's dad is from Carrol City and he plans on showing me some spots... He mentioned this one place I'm guessing its an establishment where you go to play cards based on its name... lol I'm kidding.. Zach McCloud's name came up positively in the conversation as it always do, whenever we are all together...
I have to say this. Hanging out with Coach Richt most be the same as hanging out with a Rock Star... everybody recognizes him and have nothing be good things to say and a whole bunch of love for him... And he handles that attention in the most humble way possible... I know its recruiting right now and in a couple of weeks both Shaq and Mike will be tools used to build a machine down in Miami.. but I'm confident that those kids will not be missed used and he will keep their best intention in mind. In summary of their visit the came up to mainly to see their EEs Shaq and Mike, but also took time to go by the schools of A. Ross 2016 safety commit. Aundre (Rico) Kearny 2017 LB commit ... saw Nick Roberts while at Shaq's school but he could not sit down and really talk with him because he is still an underclassmen and finally he went by a saw Dominique Ross at Trinity. I'm not sure but I bet he talked with a Guard at Pinkneys school big Sulli who gets better each time I see him play... I think he will be a nice addition to Swag16.. I tell you he, deserves a break he has been really busy since his presser and you can see it in his face that he is ambitious for great things in Miami.
