Damn it!

Ohio_Cane...besides Richards tentative re-commitment, any other NSD surprises comin' our way?

Edit...LEANIN' our way?

nemo2002

No more negative recruiting news, please!

Da U N Houston

Surprised by that.
1. More established QB
2. 2 years to play, less comp numbers wise
3. MUCH better coach (Dugan vs. Coley)
4. From Miami
O well, each kid must make the best decision the see for themselves.

Ohio_Cane

Not many expected Wims to flip to us, just FYI. I believe UMike and I both picked UGA

This is a very remote possibility, but DT Keyshon Camp.

OT Tre Johnson picks Miami!

Go Canes!

WELCOME TO THE U: Three-star OT Tre Johnson picks Miami. #TheU: caneswarning.com/2016/02/01/mia…

We need the beef.

Happy we got him. Fingers crossed that he's a stud

But seriously, if we can't beat out ECU for a recruit, then I don't know what to say.

Ohio_Cane

He'll need a RS year, IMO, but this kid has the size to play tackle. 6'7, 280 and can move.

Herbieibis

At least we got one o-lineman and we didn't need him to play this year anyway. He needs to gain at least 20 lbs. I expect most of this class to redshirt. If we bring in 5 or 6 wr's and db's at least half on both sides of the ball will play. Maybe Tate and for sure quarterman will play. It looks like 20 to 22 is what we bring in.
As long as bama keeps bringing in those 5 star o-linemen, those man-child like rb's and pro sized lb', won't be to many teams knocking them. 4 and 5 star loaded on 3 deep roster. I hate it but those are the facts.

Go Canes!

Didn't know this:

We are now officially in dead period. Remember no face-to-face contact allowed, but unlimited calls allowed after 7 am to guys sent LOIs to.

Go Canes!

I'd guess about 10 guys play from this class in 2016.

LA3

Everyone keep talking about Bama....But our road to National Championship runs thru the ACC. Check out what Clemson is signing.

Terrance Sullivan

Thank U LA3.

Go Canes!

Excellent point LA.

The #Lions have hired former University of Miami head coach Al Golden to be their new tight ends coach.

No Ex-Canes on the Lions' roster, so he'll get a fresh start. Eric Ebron, however, must be scratching his head: "I've run circles around that guy's D and now he's my coach?"

Lur-ker

That's a one year job. They're all getting fired at the end of next season. Caldwell and his staff are on their last legs

Mark it down.

trianglecane

Since Al got a new job, does that mean the U is off the hook for salary owed?

Lur-ker

^^^^^^

Great question.

Do you see any of the local writers even attempting to answer that question?

All slackers.

I find it interesting to watch some of the latest moves with CMR heading into NSD. CMR must expect a decent haul of recruits. Happy to see the Canes did not get shut out at OL and also pick up a solid a DL. Both do not have to play right away, so they can come in and develop under two really good, experienced coaches.
