Go Canes!

Joe Zagaki: Did you know since the arrival of Coach L
@caneshoops has 30 overall road wins, the most in the
conference, leading NC-UVA-Duke

Kaboom for The lady canes. It's always a good day when you beat FSU.

Speaking of good days, Having young ladies take your shake orders and deliver them to you at Marks Light. Pure GENIUS.

LADY CANES WIN, lADY CANES WIN, LADY CANES WIN!!!

UM 74, FSU 56

SJMPARMAN

What is really amazing about that score is that the game was tied 37-37 at halftime. Miami owned FSU in the second half. Miami Center was clutch around basket and rest of ladies rained threes in 2nd half. Great win.

Go Canes!

Believe we were down 8-0 or 9-0 to start??

So this Doherty guy is officially a cane again.

What exactly did he do in his previous stint here that makes everyone so excited that he's back?

I heard he has excellent analytical and organizational skills.

But that is hard for me to analyze and I can't remember where I put all the facts that might have proved it?

This Date in Hurricanes History...March 4th, 2014...Brought to you by the UM Sports Hall of Fame.

UM Pitcher Javi Salas pitched the 2nd PERFECT Game in Miami History! Salas and the Canes defeated the Villanova Wildcats 17-0 at The Light.

Salas joined UMSHoF member Kevin Sheary as the only Hurricanes pitchers to toss perfect games! Sheary tossed his Perfect Game on May 14, 1987 in a 7-0 win against the Maine Black Bears .

Did u read it in a binder perchance?

Canes baseball up 7-0 over Manhattan

From San Francisco Giants site:
Andrew Suarez

ETA: 2017 Position: LHP Age: 23 DOB: 09/11/1992 Bats: L Throws: L Height: 6' 2" Weight: 210 lb.
Drafted: 2015, 2nd (61) - SF
VIDEO
Scouting grades: Fastball: 55 | Slider: 55 | Curveball: 50 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 55 | Overall: 45
Suarez's arrival in pro ball took longer than expected. He declined to sign with the Blue Jays as a ninth-rounder out of high school, missed most of his first year at Miami with a shoulder injury that required labrum surgery and turned down the Nationals as a second-rounder in 2014. He repeated as a second-rounder last June, signing for $1.1 million as a redshirt junior.

In his first summer as a pro, Suarez quickly became a favorite of Giants officials for his ability to throw four pitches and locate them where he wants. He works at 89-93 mph and touched 95 with his fastball, which plays up because of its armside run. His slider is often his best pitch and grades as plus at times, and he also can spin a curveball and fool hitters with his changeup.

Suarez's stuff was a tick sharper in 2015, so he could have more in the tank. He finished his pro debut with a 2.25 ERA in five starts (including the playoffs) at Class A Advanced, and his feel for pitching should allow him to advance rapidly through the Minors.

It's next to that pillar right there.

BigWindyCane1

The Canes men basketball team are favored -6 on the road at Va Tech. The path to at least a share of an ACC regular season title is within reach. Time to close the deal.

BigWindyCane1

If the Canes close out 3-0 without the best 6th man in college basketball, just imagine the juggernaut that the Canes will assemble for the tournaments

Why yes, of course, there it is, right where I put it, just behind pillar #6.

Let's take care of business this afternoon and then hope Grayson Allen trips up that UNC offense.

#1 seed on the line

BEERicane

I think we'd have to make it to the ACCCG to get a #1 seed. That loss to NEastern and Clemson hurt bad. But you can't deny we have beat more top 25 opponents than perhaps anyone in the land. That said, I think UNC will be the 1 seed out of the ACC. Maybe UVA. Miami ends up at 2. ACC will have 3 of the top 8 seeds at worst.

Lur-ker

That would be the #1 seed in the ACC tourney that I was mentioning if we win & UNC loses today.

With that, if we win the ACC tourney, they CAN'T deny us a #1 NCAA seeding.

If we make it to the ACC final & lose, you can still argue for an NCAA #1 seeding, with the other ACC team. So there could be 2 ACC # 1 seed.

Just winning one ACC tourney game just about guarantees a #2 NCAA seed

HawaiiCane

Go 'Canes! Let's get that share of the regular season ACC crown!!!

orange 'n green in the vein

I suspect that 19 point bush-wacking they sprang on the non-football acc member to start the last game had a lot to do with being disrespected as a top ten ranked road dog to an unranked team, motivation that won't be there this afternoon.

Chokes will be all too willing to roll over and let the shooters spree on them but relentless defense will be required all 40 minutes to leave yet more egg on the preseason media's face for an entire recruiting generation.

Postseason will need ICU to step up to play to his height while finding his range because not too many squads will have an answer to him playing the x factor at 6'11" if he decides to bring it every round.

Go Canes!

Wow 0-26 in football and basketball:

With loss to Clemson, BC is 1st team in ACC history to go winless in conference in football & CBB in same year.

Terrance Sullivan

Lawd BC. They better win some Baseball Games LOL.

Terrance Sullivan

OGV is spot on.

BigWindyCane1

Looking for the Canes men basketball team to come out and play like a team trying to win the ACC title. Canes are playing well. The way they arr playing (even with Newton), they deserve the title

THE PYRITE ROE IS OVER!

orange 'n green in the vein

Lol, some fuzzy 'deserve a title' Ganes dead ender bringing that sock funk to the men's basketball team.

The spirit of Cho compels them to shoot straighter in the 2nd half.

CoCane

OGV,

I can usually decipher your posts but you f*cked me up with that one. Lol

Canesfan4life

ACC refs at their best, that wasn't a flagrant foul

orange 'n green in the vein

Wouldn't want to have a basketball game break out when a striped three ring circus will suffice...

BEERicane

Angel sucks balls. This is another awful loss for this squad. This will put us on the 3 line.

orange 'n green in the vein

They'll enter the postseason with the pieces but not the necessary drive throughout the top 8 in the lineup to win it all.

Unless they learn from all the let down games they turned in this year, but why expect them to pick it up the fourth time if it didn't stick the other three previously?

Terrance Sullivan

Well said Above. This was a brutal end. Oh well hell of a regular season going 24-6. Go Canes get ready for ACC Tournament on Thursday in Washington DC.
