Holy crap what a game.
Golden State gave away this series with their careless, sloppy play and stupid suspension, but wow did LBJ solidify his place on the Mt. Rushmore of the NBA this series.
With all respect to MJ, he's the GOAT.
Hats off to him for carrying a far, far inferior team all the way to the title.
Posted by: Go Canes! | June 19, 2016 at 10:45 PM
^^^^just how he carried that inferior Heat team, right?
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | June 19, 2016 at 10:47 PM
If it wasn't for Irving, the Cavs would of lost game 7
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | June 19, 2016 at 10:48 PM
Curry is Steve Nash with a ring. Dude can't play on the biggest stage.. He's a shooter. Nothing more. His legacy took a huge hit tonight.
Posted by: BEERicane | June 19, 2016 at 10:55 PM
I guess this makes GS most wins during in regular season irrelevant.

Posted by: BEERicane | June 19, 2016 at 10:55 PM
That little detail right there, the ring, makes him nothing like Steve Nash.
On top of that, 2 different players, with two completely different styles, that played in two completely different offenses, one with a ring, one without.
Otherwise, they're exactly the same. Ok.

I don't know what's better a Miami Hurricanes win or a Florida Gaytor loss?.....Coastal Carolina just beat the Turds 2-1
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | June 19, 2016 at 11:06 PM
Canes win is best. But gator losses are very sweet, nonetheless.
If turds don't win this year, with that team they have, fat Sully and the turds will never win. This was like their best shot ever, this year.
Posted by: Lur-ker | June 19, 2016 at 11:14 PM
I would've of liked to see Curry drive more to the hoop during this series. Not sure if it was the injured knee that held him back or not.
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | June 19, 2016 at 11:14 PM
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | June 19, 2016 at 10:59 PM
They were a far inferior team. One lost 25 games the other 9. GS was 8-1 in their last 9 meetings prior to the final three of this series.
If you replace LBJ with the second, third or fourth best player in the NBA the Cavs they lose this series and quick. That makes what he accomplished that much more incredible.
Like I said, total respect for what he just did. He's the ONLY player in basketball who wins a title with that roster.

No doubt, Lurker! Their pitching staff is stacked with MLB players.
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | June 19, 2016 at 11:24 PM
Think this says it all:
LeBron James: led all players on both teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks in series.
That's freaking incredible.
Posted by: Go Canes! | June 19, 2016 at 11:25 PM
That was true after game 6, GC. Welcome to present day.

Like I said, Steph & Cam are crybabies, entitled brats who are good, but time will see if they are elite. Neither has written their name on greatest of all time wall. They cry and make excuses for failure....excuses are BS to me. I hate excuses.
I am no fan of LBJ..King James moniker is BS blasphemy he aint no king...BUT he led the team to the title...he is ugly sweats like a porkchop....he has to smell bad the sweaty bastard...and he is an ass......but he is willed and knows how to win!
I love losers like Cam and Steph to lose....it shows their entitlement character, shallowness, and real personality..... when they lose they make excuses......they are not elite or amongst the best.....the liberal press and the nut sucking fans convince them they they are....but reality shows they are not!
Posted by: VA Cane | June 20, 2016 at 12:56 AM
I do not like LBJ...not King......but he is a great player....he was the difference....Steph and Co.....crybabies.....losers with excuses....reg season means nothing.....win a title then talk....they fade away...too many egos not enough balls
Steph is a phenom...interesting cat but not a great.....learn to shut up swallow that mouth piece pretty boy who cannot deal with the real world.....got to grow up

If Ray Allen doesn't hit that 3 pointer in G6 of the NBAFs, there is no G7. If Kyrie doesn't score 41 in G5, there is no G6 & G7. Jesus Shuttlesworth & Uncle Drew are The Real MVPs.

Watch out for the monkeys at Manuel Antonio. They'll run out of the trees and steal your stuff.

I think the NBA is either rigged or horribly unwatchable. Don't think I'll watch any more phantom fouls, commercial breaks, flopping, whining, home officiating advantages, superstar treatment, no calls... I think I'm done with the NBA. Game 3 was so questionable. The refs controlled the game to give Cleveland a 20 point advantage.
Posted by: The Dude | June 20, 2016 at 05:38 AM
Why do people always bring up "The Drive" & "The Fumble"...do they really think that the Browns would've beaten the Redskins & Giants...
Posted by: CaneRock | June 20, 2016 at 11:18 AM
Dude, I am with you. No more rigged NBA basketball. I am done with it. It is all about the money.

Barry:
• ESPN is doing a 30 for 30 episode on the historic 1988 Notre Dame-UM game, which the Fighting Irish won 31-30 in a game filled with high drama and a VERY questionable officiating call that cost Miami. A run date has not been set.

Remember when the Warriors were going to sweep the Cavs or win 4-1? Lol, me too

I don't think they rigged the games for one team or another, but I do think they rigged the games to stretch out the series to generate more revenue.

TS Mike Bradley, half jackass/half human chimera tongue lolling out of the side of the mouth of death to any Hurricane men's sport.
GD knows shit about football, claims to have played basketball but knows shit about it too.
They'll both be here until fall opining daily about things they have no clue about however. Oh and trying to celebrate when a team that has never won a title doesn't again. What TS/GD's they both are.
Maybe next year Jim (no relation to the one and only Steven) Morris.

Every time I read your post I chuckle at the thought of you punching keys with your nose, arms snugly around your body, straightjacket strapped tight.
GF
"Damn it!" As your nose pecks the backspace key to correct yet another typo.
The guys in the white lab coats must laugh their asses off as they watch you sweating through your canvas long sleeves, two straight hours of frustratingly giving yourself a bloody nose just to obsess about me.
Finally figured why it takes you so long to post. What, a hundred pecks over one of the orderlies shifts?
I'd pay money to see it happen.
You're completely crazy dipshit, and it's amazing to witness it in action.
So thanks, buddy. You make my day with each and every keystroke your left nostril blesses us with.

Two gun control measures fail again in the Senate like I told you, nothing changes.
As usual GD going to GD. Making up a new nickname and then trying to troll the blog while claiming you're on vacation doesn't mean you got a raise or went on vacation GD, moron.

This Sucks to Go 0-2 Shorty's Barbeque but we did. Ughhhh! No Ring #5. Well at least we won 50 Games in back2back seasons and made it to Omaha for College World Series in back2back seasons which means we did win Regional and Super Regional. This concludes the 2015-2016 Athletic Year. Hopefully 2016-17 will be even better than this excellent Athletic Year. Need the Football Team to get up to speed with Our Canes Baseball, Basketball, Tennis, Track and Field, Golf, Sports that have done really well. It's Time Fellas. We will all Start to See Starting September. Go Canes!
